Divine 9 line names
 

I'm not sure if this thread should be in greek life. If not then it can be moved. But anyway, what was your line's name and why was it given to your line? If you can say. Also what was your individual line name and why was it given to you?

Neither my APO nor APhiA lines had a name.

My crossing name for APhiA is Mr. Matter-of-Factly.

My crossing name for APO is Buffalo Soldier. And since we're on the topic, my little's name is Sekhmet, her little's name is xXx (Triple X), her little's name is Studly Do-Right, his little's name is One Eyed Pirate, and her little's name is Sgt. Prepper. (I'm a great-great-great-great big)

None of the stories of my line names are really totally public stories, but everyone that hears my Alpha name says it fits me.

(There are other threads on this topic, but not necessarily in Greek Life)

No disrespect, KAY10, but in 2006, the term A.T.M. means something totally different. I'on know if I would tell too many folks that my line name was ATM, 'cause I know I would get clowned to the dogs and back. But that's just me. Do you.

My lines's name is the "X-Files"...why? lets just say alot of strange things happened while we were on line....my line name is "Heavy Content" that was because I had so much going on while pledging..single mom, work, etc....(thats the open to the public meaning anyway...;)

My line name is Roots after rootbeer.:)

Well, in 1991 it meant Automated Teller Machine. Don't know what it means today. I'm an old skool Nupe. 2006 must be some new skool stuff. When greeks ask, I tell everyone what my line name is.

Well, you are correct that A.T.M. does indeed mean Automated Teller Machine.

My line's name was the Return of the Scroll...plus I was the only one on my line....we didn't have a line in a while...my line name is Major Kane....think of major pain...I am so intense when I deal with stuff I am passionate about...hence my line name...

Sorry to crash, and this is probably a stupid question, but in a Divine 9 organization, who decides what the line name and your name will be?

It depends. Sometimes the pledgemaster, sometimes the Big, sometimes the chapter votes. In the case of the name of the line, sometimes the line decides.

It's not too often that one picks their own line name, but I've heard of that, too.
