One of our chapters' New Members is none other than the great (great great?) granddaughter of Ella Pierce!!!!

I wonder if she'll be initiated with the Adelphean pin?

I wish I had known on Monday night that one of the PNM's was this particular girl. I helped at that particular chapter's Pref. Not that I would have been able to speak with her, and not that it was guaranteed at the time at she would choose ADPi, but none of the other alums I was with even mentioned it. They were all very concerned about their San Antonio girls. :)
I must say how much fun it was to help behind the scenes for such an important night. We decorated the dessert plates and helped set things out/clean things up in the dining room for each party. I was even able to sneak in to see the singing/speaking/ceremony part for the third party.
Anyways.... long way to say it I know, but the jist is "How exciting!"

OMG, that is so cool! The news just gave me goosebumps! I couldn't imagine what she is feeling right now.

Just a note, I had to share this news with my husband because I decided several years ago that when we had a daughter I would name her after one of our founders and I decided it would be Ella. Now, we don't have children yet but hopefully in the next two years we will start our family. :-)

Ella is a nice name. I can't imagine anyone naming their child Octavia or Sophronia. Sorority love only goes so far! ;)

I agree, I love the name sophie! I actually named my 1st car Sophie :p

And here I was, thinking about "Woodruff" or "Dewy"! ;)

I do hope that someone takes a picture (hint, hint) of the Adelphean badge!!

*sigh* Another dream bites the dust! I'm sure her mother's pin was awfully special, too, though!
