For the little sisters and girls that hang out.
Ladies that check the TKE forum. What are somethings we can do for you to keep you happy and to reward you for all your help?
------------------ Tekes raise hell! |
You want to know what would make myself and my chapter happy... Well, I'll tell you...the fact of the matter is we would like the tke's on our campus to stop stealing our porch swing. It was funny at first, don't get me wrong...but it's really not funny when the swing gets painted red with BIG BOLD sliver TKE letters, and under that it says "TKE owns you"! This happens ever time we finally paint it back to the orginal color. I know that this seems dumb, but its really not just about the swing. This chapter has BIG problems!! It is not only that they are disrespective towards women and the entire greek system, but the fact this chpater is in such bad shape that they are not even acknowledge by IFC at this time. It is too bad that the actions of a few are the way the entire house is looked at. So don't pride your selves on being such great guys because from what I have seen your not!!
|
Sig Chi Sweetheart,
I am terribly sorry you have such a dim view of our fraternity, and the actions taken by my brothers seem reprehensible. I am sorry they keep stealing your bench; a tradition of prankery is one thing, but this honestly seems out of hand. Has your president talked to their president? I will admit that our chapter has had some "rowdy" incidents, but a swift meeting held by the president to address such things has nipped all rammifications in the bud, and issued apologies to those involved. until then, please accept my apologies. ------------------ ------------------ No funny squiggles, just bold letters: TKE |
What a classy response GmuTeke!
I wish people could remember just one thought.... one chapter does not represent ALL the chapters across the United States and Canada. Thanks! Sue http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
I second that! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

what our guys do that keeps us loving them (and helping them) is to treat us with respect and kindness. they offer to carry things for us, fix a flat tire, have the oil changed in our car. each semester they fix dinner for the "special" girls of TKE. we also recieve advance notice of parties, t-shirts, or beer runs.
|
The TKEs at my school are probably the most polite, kind and non-superficial frat guys around. They're grateful when we serenade and don't act like they run the world. I would say keep doing what you do because you made an impression on me!
|
my TKE
wow, that deleted a bunch of replies (got rid of some of the ones that needed to be). Oh well. I'll just say that my TKE is the best :0) Been dating zntke711 for one and a half years! (been lavaliered too, btw)
PS. Being a little sister doesn't qualify you for the title of being Greek. Neither is a fake sorority. |
Hi all! The TKE brothers on our campus treat the girls really well, especially the girls that come and hang out. They are the best group of guys I've ever met. They're there whenever you need someone to talk to or help with anything. I luv those guys!

The TKEs in Hawaii are some of the most polite, unselfish, thoughtful guys I've ever met. I am so happy that they got their act together last year, and I hope that they'll be stronger than ever this year. The fraternity men on my campus should take a lesson or two from the TKE chapter here! |
OTW,
Just out of curiousity what was wrong with their act?;) |

We bought our football tickets with the TKE's this year. Before the first game, they came over at 9am to cook us breakfast. I didn't even go to the game, but I helped myself to some pancakes and eggs.
Yummy. |

Who was that meant for? If it was meant for me, I never said that I considered myself Greek-Greek because we have a fake sorority. It's just a joke between us. Hope everyone's having a good day. Kim :D |
Exchange
Yay! We have an exchange with TKE tonight. Of course, all my sisters will be on their BEST behavior ;-)
|
What is an exchange? Is it like a social?
|
Exchange, social, mixer, whatever. All the same thing.
Tonight we have the back room of a bar rented out, and then my guess is that quite a few women will end up back at the TKE house to hang out. It's not a real big deal, just an impromptu party we are throwing to thank them for football block. |
Sounds like fun. I hope you ladies enjoy yourselfs!
|
I think this is a topic that needs to be brought up again so I am bumping it up from page 5 of the TKE forum.:D

little sisters
Ok, since you want responses. These days little sisters are not exactly 'legal', now let's not get onto that subject...but, for those special women of TKE...back when I was in college the fraternity men treated 'little sisters' or sweethearts with respect and kindness. They always brought them to dances/mixers/exchanges first off. They made them dinners, went over to serenade them, bought them cool TKE stuff. They also put them on their composites, brought them gifts, etc. Just some ideas.
|
Thank you for being one of the few women on Greekchat who realizes that being a little sister is not exactly legal. Too many mention and talk about it as if a REAL program exists :P
There was one girl on here who really refered to TKE's as her brothers. I corrected her :P :P |
Absolutely Alpha Gam!
If we (women) took a look at NPC guidelines it would tell us about little sister organizations and little sister programs. It tells us that they do not condone them. Now, I do understand how many fraternities, especially TKE have special women who do things for them and they'd like to show them appropriate appreciation. I know so many Tekes and they do show appreciation. Mine did just as your by lavaliering me when we were in college. I think the greatest way to appreciate all of us wonderful women is to just do sweet things like you always do. Don't worry men, we see and appreciate those things as well. I love TKE! |
For Girls that just hang out
Let me just tell you - i send way too much time at my school's TKE house. The reason why is that I just love the brothers. They don't ned to change a thing or try to please us. I'm happy to go becuase I feel so at home and comfortable with them.
|
hey, i know the tekes at WPI, they are pretty cool guys. i doubt any of them remember me. i was up visting like 4 years ago. although i was just up for their last sewer party. it was crazy!
just thought i'd share. |

|
Just wanted to wish the Brothers the Gentelmen and alll the Men of TKE Seasons Greetings

You all are always soo positive and helpful and some great things for the community! Stay sweet and strong fellas Nothing but love DGPhoney~ |
I just wanted to say that the TKE bothers on my campus are the best. They do a lot with our sorority. We love our TKEs.
:p |
Thanks! one of the many reasons TKE is so great is the fine quality ladies that hang out with us.
|
Well said!

"So don't pride your selves on being such great guys because from what I have seen your not!! "
Dear SigChiSweetheart, My first reaction is to get very offended and angry at your e-slander. My next reaction is that you posted your comments out of emotion, and immediate anger. Surely you know of chapters of your organization that are less than par, simply because of human diversity? Part of the things you learn during pledging our fraternity is that once initiated you forever lose the phrase "I," and replace it with "we." I beleive I speak for the Fraters on this forum when I say sorry, sorry that you and your chapter are not proud to have Tau Kappa Epsilon on your campus. But I speak for myself now when I say who are you to assume such prejudice about our Brotherhood of hundreds of thousands of dedicated and proud men, off the experience of more likely than not, less than fifty men? If you met a black man and you did not like him, would you then decide that all black men were the same? Or better yet, If I met a sister of your Sorority, and did not like her, would you like me to tell people what I think about the "...." Sorority based upon my shortcomings with one individual? I am sorry if i am badgering you, but I took that comment very offensively. Please do not take mine the same. If so desired, please provide the chapter name, and school to which these men belong. My point in this seeminly redundant forum; Please do not assume the fallacy of leaf to be the stereotype of the tree. Yours Truly, Joseph Morgan "Snoopy" Webb III Proud Brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Pi-Upsilon Colony/Chapter Past Hegemon, Rush Chair, and Social Chair Current Grammateus, and IFC Executive Vice President |

[B]"So don't pride your selves on being such great guys because from what I have seen your not!! " I agree with Snoopy, the first TKE chapter I met wasn't the greatest, but oh well! I then met another from a different chapter and he's mine for life. They are great guys and now that I know tons of them all over the nation, give them a break. |
Every chapter or every org is differnt thats why you can nevr say one is bad in general.
|
I love these guys :) My best bud is a TeKE (never knew it until we re-met), a lifelong best friend will be pledging TKE this fall and my boyfriend is a TKE. Somehow TKE finds all the great guys!!!
The things they do for us is basically baby us (just like we do them!!) fix our cars, act like out boyfriends when some drunken guy is trying to make out w/us and are basically our big brothers. :) And of course, we're first to know about private & open parties and basically all the good stuff :) -Kayla |
I am glad the TKE's have made you happy!
