Begins 20 September on the new CW network. I saw all the girls on E! News today and they look awesome. Tyra said they're the most fun and energetic bunch so far too, so I'm sure that adds up to an interesting season to say the least. :)

I was thinking the same thing. She managed to jump out and get my attention amongst all of the others which is amazing.

Well, I'm sure this is a "before" picture...
it's hard to tell before seeing the first two shoots and the makeovers.
But, to be honest, none of the white girls look very impressive to begin.

Is anyone else thinking that a few of these girls look like some of the past contestants?

yeah...the top girl does look like Kim...The bottom middle girl reminds of Shannon (from Season 1 I believe)

Yep...I see girls that resemble Kim, Jayla, Shandi, and Shannnon.

Those two are twins. I read that in the article that was posted towards the beginning of the thread :) :)

I can't WAIT for the makeover show. That's always my fav episode.

I was right with 9 of the 13 picked. I really like Anchal. I think the twins, Michelle & Amanda, are adorable but I hope that when makeover time comes that they make them look COMPLETELY different from one another. I also really like AJ & Brooke.

Although I think Anchal might cause issues with the makeover. I have this feeling that they will want to chop her hair off, which I think will cause HUGE issues for her, since she basically 'said' that she hadn't cut her hair. We shall see.

eta: OMG Monique is such a beotch. Holy crap. I seriously hope that her butt gets booted tonight!

I really liked the twins and can't wait to see what they do with them. My fav so far though is AJ, I just hope she can step up and get some confidence!

I have a dream that one day, there won't be a crazy ass egomaniac black woman on a reality show. WHY does this always happen? WHY?! Can anybody even BE that ridiculous -- and if not, WHY TYRA?!

I still think the twins are fug, but their photos were AWESOME -- kind of edgy in a good way. The only contestants I really, really didn't like were DivaBitch and OMG ROCK N ROLL I HAVE NO EYES WTF ROCK N ROLL YEAHHHHHHHHH! I wanted to punch that woman in the face. SHUT UP WITH YOUR STUPID ASS ROCK N ROLL.

Kind of a lack-luster season opener in my opinion. So far, I like Megan, AJ, and Brooke.
Megan kinda reminds me of Shannon Sossaman...anyone else see that too?

I think they'll keep her hair long, but maybe clean it up a little.... possibly some layers/thinning? The long hair adds to her ethnic look. She was way prettier with her natural eye color too. I think she has a good chance.

I'm ready for a smack down with Monique.

This hasn't been confirmed as far as I know, but I "heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend" that Brooke is a Chi Omega pledge from the University of Texas.

Rumor has it that some of the women who wrote recs for her are hoping she doesn't do anything to embarrass herself on national television.

Christian was the first kicked off.

Which didn't make a lot of sense to me, since she wasn't the only one with a bad photo, and Melrose was acting like such a diva.

Agreed, SSS1365. Personally, I think Melrose or Monique should have gone home. Monique's photo was terrible, and Melrose was a brat.
I think they kicked Christian because she bragged about knowing all Tyra's poses but then only gave one bad pose at the shoot.

See, I like Melrose, so I'm glad she wasn't booted. I mean, her name is lame, but oh well, details.

They told her that her shoot was the diva who wouldn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day. Then they give her a personal assistant and luxury pamperings (granted she won them from the previous comp -but they didn't have to combine her prize with the next competition). The minute she starts getting into her "personna" of the diva and shows up late to the shoot, they yell at her. Seems silly to me

I liked Christian but her picture wasn't worth talking about (finally saw the season opener tonight)....Monique definitely has to go!

Anchal and Brooke are my favorite...I agree Michelle (the twin) rocked in her pic.

This is the second year in a row that they kicked off a favorite of mine in the first 3 weeks (last year it was Kari), and then they keep the bitchy trouble maker whose photos are crap. Jaeda really should have gone.

Also, the make-overs were SOOOOOO boring!!! I was hoping they'd make the twins radically different and give Megg a short bob. Most of the girls extensions already look horrible and unkept.

I am so pissed! Jaeda should have gone home. You can tell that she just isn't excited to be there. Arg! I thought the girl who was cut was going to be in the final 4 or 3! She has great personality and last weeks pictures weren't that bad. I wish they would watch the house footage and give Monique the boot!

As much as I liked Megan as a person, I think they made the right choice when eliminating her. When she and Jaeda were standing next to each other, it was SO obvious to me that Jaeda has great features and potential. Megan was nice and lived through tragedy and I like her and feel bad for her, but she doesn't have the face of a model -- it's like her face is too, I don't know -- mooshy -- everything is too soft and she looked a little piggy.

And seriously? I don't want to give the effort to talk about the show's best ever argument in favor of post-birth abortion, but I have to say that if somebody flicked her nasty-ass crotch juice on me, I would've called the police. I am not kidding.

Monique is crazy. I just can't understand how anyone can be that selfish and rude. What an awful environment to live in for the rest of the girls. :eek:

i don't know about that, because when they filmed this she was skipping her senior year of high school.... so unless she gets cut in the next episode and went back to school i don't think she'd be in college this fall.

Was "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" playing in anyone else's head when Monique got eliminated? =)
