What newspaper does everyone read?

WSJ and rollcall for me. What does everyone else read?

shinerbock 07-17-2006 04:40 PM

I regularly (most every day) read the WSJ, Washington Post, and The Hill. As for other news sources, I check Drudge, MSNBC, CNN and Fox News daily (on the web).

MJo19 07-17-2006 04:40 PM

The Springfield News Sun (local paper) and the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch on Sundays

I log onto the Hill's Hotline for their wakeup call and their play of the day.

chitownxo 07-17-2006 04:41 PM

WSJ, New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune.

alum 07-17-2006 04:44 PM

W. Post (liberal rag that it is  ), Rollcall, Financial Times, WSJ

shinerbock 07-17-2006 04:46 PM

Sometimes I find the Hill informative, sometimes not...my Hill and WP habit started while I was interning in DC. The Hill was pretty much the insider paper for staffers, they even do like "hottest congressional staffs." Its pretty funny.

f8nacn 07-17-2006 04:46 PM

Richmond-Times Dispatch; Washington Post, MSNBC or CNN.com

Senusret I 07-17-2006 04:47 PM

The Washington Post
The Washington City Paper
The Washington Blade

Tom Earp 07-17-2006 04:49 PM

Small time homiey that I am:

K C Star, The Kansan, and Wyandotte West.

I get all the news I want for seeing stupidity that I can handle.

Drolefille 07-17-2006 04:51 PM

Local paper, skim the WSJ at work. At school I got hooked on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and I'll occasionally pick up the Chicago Tribune. I'm not settled enough yet to subscribe to anything so we'll see what happens.

I do pick up a USA Today, but only when I need something to read over lunch and I drive through McDonalds... When you only have one option...

AGDem 07-17-2006 04:55 PM

Chicago Tribune and local paper

shinerbock 07-17-2006 04:56 PM

haha yeah. The USA Today:Newspapers::Bank of America:Banking, or in other words, horrible.

Yeah I definitely liked that about the Hill, I definitely am using my congressional staffer complimentary subscription to rollcall.

ADqtPiMel 07-17-2006 04:58 PM

The Washington Post, the Washington City Paper and the Dayton Daily News. I'll read the Hill if someone puts it in front of me.

pseudonym 07-17-2006 05:07 PM

New York Times

Drolefille 07-17-2006 05:08 PM

Yes but they do have 2 Sudokus...

That's about all I read them for... but I can't stand to have lunch without something to read and if I forget a book or other paper.. I'm screwed :(

RACooper 07-17-2006 05:45 PM

Both the Toronto Star and Globe and Mail every day...

Sister Havana 07-17-2006 06:09 PM

Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, RedEye, and the Indiana Daily Student online.

adpiucf 07-17-2006 08:35 PM

Why is this posted in Greek Life?

valkyrie 07-17-2006 09:36 PM

I don't read the paper. It's hard enough keeping up with Sports Illustrated. Who has time for that?

KSigkid 07-18-2006 08:45 AM

Boston Globe (although I don't like their editorial page), Boston Herald, and the New York Times.

AlphaFrog 07-18-2006 08:53 AM

The Charlotte Observer is WAAAY too far left for me. I usually pick up Creative Loafing when I see it around. Sometimes I also read La Noticia and Que Pasa.

Dionysus 07-18-2006 08:57 AM

The Riverfront Times and my school's newspaper.

WOW! I remember this paper. I have not read it in years though, lol.

Regularly I go to the Charlotte Observer's website and The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, Ohio)'s website to read the major articles.

I also check out Yahoo News and CNN.com

PhoenixAzul 07-18-2006 09:32 AM

Pittsburgh Post- Gazette

Belfast Telegraph

The Irish News

The Irish Times

read Reuters online.

bcdphie 07-18-2006 11:03 AM

Vancouver Sun
Vancouver Courier
The National Post
and sometimes the [Vancouver] Province (excellent for Sports)

Kevin 07-18-2006 11:10 AM

Online articles -- whatever grabs my attention. I check CNN and newsok (for local news) daily.

KSigkid 07-18-2006 11:15 AM

Forgot one; I read Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for work.

dekeguy 07-18-2006 11:29 AM

I normally scan through:
NY Times
The Times (London)
Daily Telegraph
New Orleans Times Picayune
and check out the various webnews pages.
Above list does not address "trade" papers and mags.

RU OX Alum 07-18-2006 11:58 AM

trades are all I really have time for, if that. I read Prince Valiant in the Cartoon section of the Richmond Times-Dispatch on Sunday. The Richmond Free Press does better with news, but their audience is targeted. But that is Richmond. The newspappers here are still segregated.

GeekyPenguin 07-19-2006 11:16 AM

Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the paper in the small town where my boyfriend works, the paper in the small town I grew up in, and then usually either the Washington Post or the Chicago Tribune.

Jimmy Choo 07-19-2006 12:27 PM

The News and Observer, The New York Times, and when I can find in down here The Washington Post.

Hellllo typo. I seem to remember you saying something "is is" yesterday.

Jimmy Choo 07-19-2006 01:44 PM

Yeah, I'm incognito :)

Actually I'm in Raleigh. Guess the secrets out now!

Ya'll get the Observer in Raleigh??

Jimmy Choo 07-19-2006 01:56 PM

If I got to Barnes and Noble I can find just about anything... except now the Washington Post!!! But in Charlotte the paper is the Observer. Raleigh's paper is the News and Observer, the N&O for short.

KSUViolet06 07-21-2006 10:32 PM

I read the Plain Dealer (Cleveland) and the Akron Beacon Journal (Akron)
