Really!?!?!?!
 So I found this on one of my friends Facebook albums....and all I could do was shake my head. Apparently this picture was taken at the Greek Picnic in Atlanta.........I don't really know what to say about this.....just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were......

Yowzer. That's like, way too much. Yeah, I'll leave it at that.
|
That totally looks like it was photoshopped. Not that it really makes it any better.

^^^ LOL at shamikaT and that quote!
i dontthink it was photoshopped... but that is straight beastin. i love my sgrho like no other, but that's disrespeckin. |
My thing is...okay..so I see what orgs are listed on the back of the shirt......At first I was wondering who was wearing the shirt, but I figured that part out (I think it's an sgrho..going by what tld221 just said, if not then I apologize for that assumption). I don't understand...why???? ....I have seen some strange and unfortunate pictures come out of these picnics. :(

But that is true though....sad but true..... |
People who are SECURE in their choice of NPHC GLO wouldn't do that. JMO. It's about doing you. There's a fine line between clowning and insecurity.
|
Wow! That's a little extreme.

I would NEVER wear anybody else's letters. I'm not wondering how she escaped a beatdown from sorors and sistergreeks of AKA and ZPhiB. I'm wondering why her own sorors didn't hem her up. I know MY sorors would have taken care of that shirt, before anyone else could see it, had one of us worn it.
|
Like folks say when they see the prom pictures, "OMG!! Who are, where are their parents?"
Who are, where are their PROPHYTES? Attention seeking behaviors:rolleyes: :( |
The message itself doesn't really bother me, but why would you want to bring attention to everyone else's letters but your own? That makes no sense to me. I wouldn't have the desire to wear any letters but mine.
|
I was at the picnic this past weekend and saw the shirt myself. Nobody really paid it too much attention. Personally, I've seen worse. However, it clearly speaks to her own issues with the org. she chose.
|
Never mind, my computer at work is WACK :(
Interesting shirt..just screams insecurity |

She is crazy. And I am grateful that I was not there cause there would have been a problem.:) |

Maybe she was eager to wear the letters of her first 3 choices. :D I'm glad she didn't get a beatdown from the Sorors, AKAs, or Zetas. It's not that serious. She should, however, have gotten hemmed up by her sorors as well as her prophytes questioned as to what 'nalia protocol they have been teaching their neos. :o |

Looking at this shirt, I too thought it could be photoshopped. But, if it is not then this is not the most 'panhellinic' way of showing pride in one's org. My best guess is that she is a neo who thought she would do something for the sake of shock value. |

This reminds me of the pictures of the Zetas in the "we look good in any color" t-shirts. Where is that thread?!! Can't find it. :( |
Quote:
Yeah, that is what I thought about too. And that thread where it had those guys wearing Delta and AKA line jackets. People did not seem bothered about that. |
Quote:
I aint insecure about a dam thing! I'm still looking for the darn thread.... Can't find it... oh well caint find it. |

That shirt that is shown in the original post is meant to be a diss. I am no longer bothered by it like I was a year ago because it is another Greek trend. Quote:
But possibly the wearer of this shirt is insecure about her affiliation. :) The thread is in your forum in the I Can't Believe thread: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...t=54788&page=5 |

Now as for this current shirt, I kind of like it. I would wear it IF IT WAS DONE DIFFERENTLY!!. Why would anyone want to wear another organizations letters in their colors? Nothing is sacred anymore. A better shirt could have been made in the likes of the apology shirts. |
Quote:
We called that young lady, and anyone else who puts that much (money and) effort into other organizations, insecure. |
Quote:
Why would anyone want to wear another organization's letters, period (outside of maybe NPHC event shirts)? Not to mention that some of our organization's have protocol as to how we should and should not sport our 'nalia. :o In addition to official protocol for my organization, I was taught some unofficial 'nalia protocol. That unofficial 'nalia protocol included not wearing "diss 'nalia." It's all about DST and if you want to think about another organization enough to put a reference to that organization on your 'nalia...you should've pledged that other organization. :o |
