My AI Status
For those of you who didn't read my post on geekboards dot com,
I receieved an OFFICIAL invitation to become an honor initiate of Delta Delta Delta fraternity. In addition to the invitation, instructions were given on how to proceed. I already sent out payment for my badge, certificate, and initiation fee. Per nationals' instructions, I included the name I want used on my certificate and initials on my badge. (I'll be getting the plain badge w/o the trident guard.) I will be initiated at my alma mater with the fall pledge class. |
Where is your alma mater? Congrats again! I have 2 TriDelta friends and they are wonderful and sweet girls. :D

ALMA MATER: University of Maryland at College Park, BS 2001, M.Ed 2003

There are a few of us have very long pledge periods....I am still a pledge and am hoping to get initiated during 2006/07, I have an idea that I need to run by the AC and what the procedure it.... |
CONGRATULATIONS!
|
I also had to wait until fall for my initiation. Enjoy the wait...it is well worth it!:)
|
My vintage Iota Alpha Pi badge arrived today. It is certainly a treasure.
Back to Tri Delta, I've decided to start my own pledge period. I have a silver crescent moon and stars ring, so I'm going to wear that every day until initiation. Thankfully it goes with everything. :) I should be receiving a pledge CD rom at some point.... I know things are hectic because Tri Delta has convention in a few weeks. |
Congratulations!!!!! :)
|
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Delta Delta Delta is wonderful organization. (I was on vacation, so I'm a bit late in posting!) |
UPDATE: Tri Delta's HQ received my check for initiation fees. They mailed out a confirmation letter with the "pledge manual" on CD rom!
|
That is awesome!!! :D That does make things a bit more official doesn't it?!
|
UPDATE: Tri Delta cashed my check. Just checked my online bank statement.
|
I'm so happy for you!
You are in the same situation I was in last year. I was approved for AI in the summer of 2005 and I was initiated in November with the Fall New Member class. It gave me plenty of time to learn as much as possible about Gamma Phi Beta & I also had the opportunity to get to really know the girls in the Fall pledge class who I was initiated with. Now that I am an advisor, it has helped me a lot in my relations with the collegians.
Enjoy your time until initiation and CONGRATS to you and Delta Delta Delta!!! -Stephanie |
I received the offical letter stating that my check cleared, my badge will arrive six weeks after initiation, and that initiation date will be confirmed when Alpha Pi chapter sends the date to HQs. I also have a pledge manual on CD-rom.
|
I'm ecstatic for you.
I hope to hear some news from the sororities I am pursuing after the holidays and conventions end. |
Woo Hoo!
Congrats to you and Tri-Delta!! I truly hope you found a very happy home. :) Now if only my home were happy... Germany 0, Italy 2. Ich liebe Sie noch, Deutschland. At least there are no car horns going crazy at midnight. :(
|
Alright, bichonl:D
I also got my new member education materials from ASA, and they are wonderful. I'm impressed! |
congratulations! i'm excited to have you as a new sister! i waited 4 months to be initiated because i was a founding sister of the Epsilon Zeta chapter and we waited until we had both Alpha and Beta pledge classes before going through initiation. it's absolutely worth the wait though!!!
|
Well, I actually now tell people about Tri Delta! It feels so great to know where you are going. Prior, I had to tell people, "I depledged Chow Chow". (Another NPC sorority.) Or, tell them I am an Alpha Phi Omega, albeit an ueber inactive brother. (Life initiate, mind you.) Now, I just tell people, "I am a new member of Tri Delta. They do alum initiations now." Simple enough and it spreads the word about this opportunity. :D
(Oh, if I keep referring to certain groups as dogs, it's only because my stuffed dogs are near my computer!) |
Good job on spreading the word about AI! :) I can't wait until you can tell us all about (well, not all about.... you know what I mean!) your initiation. And congrats again!
And just random... I love chow chows! They are so cute with that purple-blue tongue! :D |
I didn't know you're an APO Brother too! :)
|
UPDATE: I received further instructions regarding initiation. I also decided to wear a Tri Delta tee shirt to a young adults social. I was happy that many people from my were asking about my involvement with Tri Delta. When I explained about alum initiation, one guy was actually interested in contacting the fraternity from which he received a bid many years ago. :D

Wow Bichon, that is fantastic.
|
That's so cool the guy is going to check into it. I have zero idea how often the fraternities do AI, but it never hurts to look! :)
|
UPDATE: I have my date of initiation. Last week in October. Thanks to everyone for continuing support and "vibes of patience"!!!! :)
And, I have a wonderful new boyfriend!!! <3 |
Congratulations and good luck!
