Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat
 

What did you think of the season premiere? The newbies and alums?

I don't get it though, the Austin cast are fresh meat as well, they have never done a challenge *shrugs*

who ARE the newbies? are they from 'road rules'? the whole premise is interesting, though... only one couple stands alone to collect the money.

I think by Fresh Meat, they mean that they haven't been on Real World or Road Rules. This is their first time on anything MTV. The Austin cast were already on MTV so I guess they are alumni...

They are people who've never been on any MTV shows.

Since Road Rules has been cancelled, they had to find a way to fill up the challenges since not everyone is Mark and doing them till they're 50.

I'm posting in lots of threads I normally wouldn't today.

Middle daughter told me yesterday that the bar where she worked for a while in Lower Downtown Denver (very trendy area known as LoDo) has been bought and is being converted into living quarters for Real World Denver.

Don't know if it's true or not.

Yeah, they're in Denver in LoDo, in the old B-52 Billiard bldg. One of my best friends is a Real Worlder from a few years back and he said they started filming this month and will wrap in Sept I think. :)

Has anyone been keeping up with Fresh Meat? I missed this week, but Theo & Chanda lost in the Exile to Darrell & Aviv. Basically, this means that the two strongest teams at the beginning of the competition, Coral & Evan and Theo & Chanda are now gone. I'm rooting for Wes & Casey, I hear everyone finds Wes annoying, but they have provided the best entertainment on the show. They've been into Exile 5 times, while the other three teams combined have only been in twice.

I'm being nosy too (since this thread got bumped). Who's your friend, KDAngel?

Ouch, it's totally just me since everyone jumped on my case for it. Everyone else has their own names for at least a few weeks now. Oh, and I'm the one that actually said that (the "real" owner of this account). :p

And I'll talk about my friend in private messages only just because when their season came out I was bugged incessantly, and while I don't think that will happen now I want to respect their privacy. :)

And since this thread got bumped, this past week's challenge was seriously crazy compared to some things they do. I liked it! Too bad I know who wins in the end and what happens each week. It totally makes it less fun to watch. :(

Who's losing in Exile tonight? Darrell/Aviv vs. Theo/Chanda, both are great teams and it should be a good battle. I'm not sure if Chanda can pull her weight tho, but they should all be able to solve the logic puzzles. But if one of them wins the challenge, I'd send in Tina/Kenny since they are all scared of Wes & Casey in the Exile.

I'll keep my mouth shut about this challenge but "The Duel" which started filming in Rio the 1st part of June sounds awesome. :D It may be my favorite challenge yet.

The premise- every man for himself. With 2 girls and 2 guys making it to the finals and one of each gender winning. And yeah, I pretty much love who wins this one. :p

Turns out Darrell/Aviv won the challenge, and chose Tina/Kenny to go into exile eventhough they finished in second by a mere 15 seconds while Wes & Casey were last again. In the exile, Theo was struggling with the weight and they then proceeded to spend an eternity attempting to solve the first puzzle. Tina solved the first puzzle, they dropped their bags. Made it to the last puzzle, forgot the flag and returned to solve the puzzle. So this leaves
Darrell/Aviv, Tina/Kenny, Wes/Casey, and Derrick/Diem.

On a sidenote: Am I the only one interested in this show?

I really wanted Theo and Chanda to win the Exile tonight just so they could go back to camp and scare the living shit out of Derrick and Diem. I never liked Derrick from his season of RR and my dislike has grown with each challenge he's been on.

What Theo said was dead-on. Derrick could use the money to buy some stilts because Theo will always be taller!

I guess I can stop watching now. I read the blog too so I know who wins. ::rolleyes:

Wes, repping Phi Psi and Casey win it all.

Darrell/Aviv vs. Tina/Kenny vs. Wes/Casey in a 10-mile race winner takes 250K. From the preview it looks like partners will be tied to each other with a rope, and must carry their bags. I'm still rooting for Wes/Casey.

Wes will be yelling at Casey who'll probably be complaining the whole time.

Tina mentioned she needed lipo. She'll probably have a difficult time hauling ass. She's good at puzzles, but not good at hauling ass, IMO.

It wasn't a spoiler, I don't know if they won or not. I have absolutely no clue which of the three teams win. I was just declaring victory for the team I was rooting for beforehand.

Haven't seen the episode but Darrell/Aviv won, with Tina/Kenny second, and Wes/Casey in third.
