It is an experience that is not to be expected but can be either rewarding or disappointing.

Look, think, and decide carefully.

Take Your time as it will be hecktic as time is short when looking.

wow a Fall 2006 listing already! ;) Jill has totally on top of it *kudos*

My little sister will be going through recruitment at UT-Dallas this fall. I don't talk to her very much, but from what I've heard there is Alpha Gamma Delta and Kappa Alpha Theta there. I'm not real sure when it is, or what recruitment is like over there, but I DO know that we have a 50/50 chance of her going Theta. :D

I hope she calls me every night and lets me know what's going on so I can live vicariously!

Well, unless they are rushing at the exact same time... "My twin just got a bid to XYZ" might not make the other an official legacy...but it can't hurt...;)

We actually checked into this when our twins rushed because up until the last minute, they were planning to go to 2 different schools. The second one would have had September rush and we were told that if the first one was initiated by the time of the second one's rush, the second would be a legacy.

(For those who don't know, the second one rushed a year later as an in-house legacy of her twin. Now we have 2 Chi Os!)

I don't think so. We were both interested in AEPhi or Sigma Delta Tau and the university she is attending has AEPhi. The school I will be attending has neither.

I could be happy with any house so long as I am around a great bunch of girls who are strong in philanthropy and scholarship!

I'm going through recruitment at UCF as well. I'm sooo excited even though I'm very nervous for various reasons. The biggest one is I am transfering from a community college and will be a junior, though I will there for three years because I am a double major in history and psychology. Hope everything goes great this fall!! and if anyone has any advice please let me know!! Thanks!

Just relax...Don't be too nervous about the whole transferring from a community college deal at UCF...the age thing "might" be a factor but I'm assuming you're in the 18-22 range, so you'll be fine. Theres one that I know who transferred & went thru recruitment here last fall & she was a 21 yr old junior-college-transfer that joined ADPi. Good luck!

i'm thinking that i'll be rushing at penn state this fall... it's so crazy to actually come out and write that down instead of just thinking it in the back of my head! i guess we're not holding recruitment until after homecoming this year, though, so i've still got a while :)

I have a cousin rushing at University of Missouri-Columbia this fall.

My (as of a month ago!) sister in law will be going through at my alma mater (Lambuth University) this fall!

The daughter of a good friend of mine will be rushing this fall at my alma mater! :)

UCFPNM is rushing at UCF!

My cousin will be attending Appalachian this fall. Their recruitment is done in January.

My only concern is that her mother wants her to rush, but I'm not sure she really wants to. I've told her not to rush because of her mom, she needs to do it for herself.

Either way I still need to fill out a profile for her. Oh fun.

The son of another teacher at my school is rushing this fall. I wrote a letter of introduction to my fraternity at the school he will be attending.
My cousin's daughter is going to start school this fall. My cousin the KD and myself are trying to talk her into at least going through rush and giving it a chance.

Hi, everyone I will be rushing at Kent State this fall. I'm super excited but i'm also a bit nervous because i've only heard about rush at southern schools. Thanks to anyone that can offer any insight.

Exciting news!!! Can't wait for recruitment this year! I'm just so sad that I'll miss the last two rounds because my little sis is getting married in NC that weekend. = ( But I told my Co-Adviser that I might try to get back in time for bid matching and bid day!!!

At the University of Washington Sept. 10-16.

Even though I love that I am an ADPi, I must say that I am a little jealous of the potential new members. There is something very exciting about going through rush and knowing the possiblity of what could be. I wish I had the pleasure of rushing where the sororities have houses. I bet that whole experience of rushing and being a member is a blast. :)

smiley, i know what you mean-i loved being a rushee at fsu and getting to see the insides of all the houses. they were all so pretty.

recruitment is my favorite time of the sorority year. i liken it to christmas-the pnm is waiting to open their present under the tree, to see which sorority is wrapped up for them, while the chapter is waiting to open up their present to see which pnms it contains!!

oooo honeychile, i'm so ready for it to finally be *my* time around! after watching so many friends and classmates go through the process, i totally agree with smiley's comment. i think i might explode before october.
