Expanding 2006-2007
So there are many threads out there that have to do with this campus or that campus expanding... I would like to get one list of new chapters/colonies for the 2006-2007 school year.
Please add to this thread if your school is open and inviting presentations, your chapter has been invited to coloninize this fall, or this is the first "real" recruitment for your chapter this fall. Thanks |
Tri Sigma installed its Eta Tau chapter in January @ Embry Riddle in Daytona, FL. This fall will be their first real recruitment.
We also have one colony at Lynchburg College that will be installed this fall. |
St. Louis University had its presentations last week. The potential colonies are, ZTA, KKG, and PiPhi.

I heard a rumor that Beloit opened up for expansion!! There is a 3 yr old local that wants to affiliate and it was a HUGE process to even get the admin open the campus. (They were wary of NPC) It would be the second NPC to be on campus (well currently). When the group was founded they had their hearts set on one particular org - who totally did the right NPC thing and rebuffed them until they went through NPC.
If anyone has seen an actual announcement of this, I'd love to know if it is actually true!! I'm not sure if it is confusion or fact, but it would be amazing to have a second NPC there!!! |

Just subbing! :D |
Isnt that the truth!
I emailed IHQ again to let them know that We Alums would like to know what is going on and why! It seems like pulling teeth. Well, I for one want to know why a Chapter is gone-Dechartered, and would also like to hear about New Colonys and Re-Charterings. |

The Delta Zeta chapter website includes a portion welcoming us to campus, which I think is very classy. You can see the site at this link: http://condor.depaul.edu/~dz/feedback.htm |

Rutgers Expansion
Has anyone heard if Rutgers (in NJ) is expanding this year (or maybe next)? I heard that they were going to a few years after Phi Sigma Sigma closed in 2002.
|
Sonoma State University in California is open for expansion. A local sorority will be being absorbed.

Do you know which local is being absorbed? |
Yeah, the one i'm in. Chi Delta. I forgot to put that. Oops.
|
That's cool. Do you know which sororities have expressed interest?
|
We're waiting to hear from them. They have until the end of our winter break. We've heard back from one who does not want to and we have 3 already here. :)
