Wow...I'm glad my interests are a little smaller:)

I collect frogs (gee, I bet no one would ever guess that;) ), and I collect ladybugs (again, no shocker).

I collect Swarovski silver crystal, miniatures & treasures

I also accumulate lotions, plug ins, body washes...I have closets full of those. I like anything with a nice scent.

I collect (and have been collecting) all types of stuff over the years.

As a kid, I used to collect those "TV Guides" you get with your Sunday newspaper. I did that from the summer of 1986-1990. The stack was HUGE! I think my mother threw them away after that. :mad:

Currently I collect:

Transformers

Currency (I am an amateur numismatician). I have some old coins and currency, some commemorative, and some foreign (Thai Bhat, Indian rupees, Bahama dollars, etc).

Black Heritage stamps.

This is just to name a few.

Do parking tickets count? :D

I collect elephants, books, and African art. I also collect Black barbies (such as the Black version of Gone With the Wind) for my daughter. My daughter collects lip glosses, she nows has nearly 100 different types.

I also collect old episodes of tv game shows, preferably those that were taped via their original broadcast and includes commercials.

For example, I have:

an episode of The Price is Right taped on NBC from 1957 with the original commericials.

Same with:

A rare 1st season ep. of Concentration from 1958 with a contest from Dial Soap to "Win Your Weight in Gold" (@ $246.50/lb.)

Three additional eps of Concentration, one from 1967, and two special Christmas eps, one from 1968, and one from 1969, the latter having commercials, and promos, one of which was highlighting the new NBC daytime lineup for January 1970.

Other studio masters of old shows include:

Jeopardy!, one from 1972, one from '74, the finale in '75, and a short live revival, the premeire ep in 1978 and the finale in '79.

I have an ep of Wheel of Fortune when Chuck Woolery was hosting and Susan Stafford turned the letters.

I love old shows with the original commericals and promos in them because they enhance the nostalgic viewing experience.

Well, let's see ...

I collect lizards (not live ones, but stuffed animal ones) and books. Oh, and shoes ... I have entirely too many shoes ...

I am currently beginning my elephant collection :D

Elehants (of course) and books (textbooks, self-help books, mysteries, romance novels, business and management, detective stories, etc.). I am trying to figure out how I am going to move all of these books with me to another state!

EDITED TO ADD: ...and TURTLES, of course. I have a killer collection of plush Turtles, Turtle pins, and other Turtle-themed stuff that's taking over my place. I even had to relocate some to my parent's house.

Books- I've had to start visiting the library and not buying books though since I'm ultra broke.

I use to have an obsession with key chains growing up. I had over 300 keychains from all over. Anytime I or someone I knew went out of town I had to get a key chain. I still have about 150 or so that I keep in a box :o

Then I became obsessed with collecting anything with my name on it or intitials. Since Shadra is not a common name I would always have to pay extra. ;) But I have keychains, jewelry, t-shirts, pens, cups, plates, clothes...even LINEN!!! :eek: all with my name or initials on it. My mom says I'm vain, I just think I like my name a lot! :)

Oh my - my mother is a big time key chain collector herself. Anytime she finds out someone is going on vacation, she always asks them to bring her back a keychain. I don't think she have as many as you, but she still has to collect them, lol. :)

yeah ive been collecting them since I was 13. I never got rid of them but it when it became less popular to have more keychains than keys, I would just keep them in box. But I only have 3 key chains on my actual keys :)

I have 38 Bibles to this day and I'm still collecting some in different languages.

I collect Elephants (of course), Sophisticate's Black Hair Magazines, 'nalia and art when I travel (so far Brazil, Ethiopia, South Africa, Morocco, the Bahamas, Spain).

I collect unfinished needlework projects... :rolleyes:

I also collect recipes, Asian and Asian-inspired art, stuffed cats (no real cats though, my husband is allergic), and science fiction books/VHS tapes/DVDs.

When I was younger I used to collect posters. I read all those magazines: Right On!, Word Up. At one point I had over 200 posters on my walls, doors, and ceiling.

I collect elephants now that I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC. I also collect Black Santas. I have over 50 of them. I just love their cute faces!!!

Me too Soror Gina. For like 3 years we could not tell my walls were purple, lmao. I had a side hustle in the 8th grade selling posters to my friends. I was a walking E-bay with auctions in the cafeteria amongst friends, LMAO!!!!
