Who wants to take bets as to who the next Trojan thug is?
Oh, how could I forget Rey Rey Maluagua (or however he spells his last name). He beat up some students last year on Frat Row. I predict that Jarret will be the next one to get caught with getting paid, or some kind of shady thing |

Ok about the twins. Their dad is shady too. Their dad got his medical license suspended, and yet he STILL performed knee surgery on Barry Bonds. So even Trojan parents are shady. The Bush aka Griffins, and the Tings |

True! They better keep it on the low or they'll get kicked out!
I was there during the end of Brad Scott/beginning of Lou years and those boys were crazy. Then I lived in East Quad my last year...  And Bobby, I know you did not say Klempson.:p :o |
I hate clemson. Everything that happens there is amateur. I mean, South Carolina doesn't have much going for it either (well besides Spurrier and that wideout), but at least they don't walk around claiming to be some legendary football powerhouse like Clemson does.

Not that all this talk about Carolina isn't exciting, but WTF:
According to newspaper reports, Bush's parents didn't pay $54,000 in rent during the year they lived in the house owned by a sports marketing agency investor who wanted to represent the football star. The landlord, Michael Michaels, said that Bush's mother and stepfather agreed to pay $4,500 in monthly rent when they moved into the Spring Valley house he bought for $757,000 in March 2005, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Friday. They didn't pay for the first few months, but promised to pay when the Heisman Trophy-winner started earning millions of dollars after turning pro, said Michaels, who described himself as a real estate investor. What kind of bitchass landlord lets you stay for a year when you don't pay any rent and complains about it later? Where's the lease -- up his butt? I'm not saying Bush is squeaky clean in this, but landlord threatening to sue the family is just weak -- or is he trying to cover for them by making it look like it was a delicate and innocent landlord/tenant relationship instead of a marketing lovefest? |
It seems like the agent/landlord is trying to tarnish Bush's reputation vindictively for not signing with him. Bush is expected to be the #1 choice in tomorrow's draft, so the timing of this is suspect to me.

1. Michael Michaels (LOL x 2), the landlord, claims the 'rents promised to pay $4500 per month, then promised to pay after Reggie starts collecting a pro salary. So it appears there is no lease. Landlord didn't evict them after they didn't pay for months -- he waited a year. Landlord didn't wait until Reggie started collecting his pro salary. Why? That seemed agreeable to him as evidenced by the fact he allowed the family to live there for a year even though they didn't pay. Shady? 2. As to Reggie, there are enforceability issues with respect to Reggie's alleged promise to pay after going pro. Also, if his parents were supposed to be paying the whole time they were there (which is what landlord's saying, right?), what exactly was the "extra benefit" he received in violation of NCAA rules? And the timing? Yeah, incredibly shady. 3. Landlord's attorney: plans to file a $3.2 million fraud lawsuit against Bush's parents and possibly Bush. The sum includes $300,000 in money that Michaels claims he and another investor, a documented gang member named Lloyd Lake, put into the business, plus punitive damages. Okay, as Chris Berman would say, WHAAAAAAT?! Fraud? WTF does putting money into a "business" have to do with the house? Nothing? Yeah, that's what I thought. This sounds like a case you'd see on one of those cheesy court shows, where some fugly woman hooks up with some skeevy unemployed guy and lets him use her credit card to buy hair gel and clothes to wear when he goes out to bang hotties and then sues him because OMG IT'S FRAUD HE'S SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME NOW I WILL GET MY REVENGE. |
There's a good article on SI.com that says this is all being blown out of proportion. Its interesting.
|
Lets face it though. I love Reggie, but his parents and this Michael Michaels dude (double name, wtf) are all shady.
SHADY SHADY SHADY Heh. I would totally do the same thing. "Oh what? You want me to live at this sick house for free? HOKAY!" PS. Houston, if you don't pick Bush #1, you are seriously the stupidest bunch of idiots in the world. You, your city, and your whole state is filled with a bunch of dumbfux |
Actually, seeing that the Texans defense last year was God-awful, taking Mario Williams wouldn't be a bad deal....allthough I am sure that they will take Reggie.

In my mind it's not even close; if they're going to go for a defender, trade down to the Packers or something, get a bunch of picks, and get A.J. Hawk. I don't see any reason for them not to take Bush though (although an argument could be made for trading down, getting Ferguson and beefing up that o-line) |
This thread makes me think about the person who started the thread that still argues that Miami is the greatest college program of all time.
I mean, USC DEFINITELY has more of a case than Miami for that role....but then again, that's what got the other thread into disarray. |

Can you believe how similar the 2000s USC and Miami are? Both got screwed out of the BCS title game their first year. Both won their second year Both lost their third year. Holey Calamity, this has gotta be insanity |
Wow, the Texans signed Williams. He will be the top pick in the draft. Unreal.
