Zetas
Just wondering what Zeta is like on your campus. I promise I won't be offended. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
To quote John Lennon - they're the toppermost of the poppermost!! It doesn't hurt that they have the biggest house. (most houses hold 10, theirs holds 50!)
I think that Zeta's are awesome here!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/cool.gif
Prettygyrl...I think by the name, this young lady was refering to Zeta Tau Alpha not Zeta Phi Beta...

ZTAs ROCK! No bad reputations here! Who in the world would ever have anything bad to say about zetas?!?!

I would say medium on the 3 large campuses I attended and they were all so nice! As a Greek advisor, I much preferred being at their parties than those of some snotty groups! Also--they never cheated in rush!
ZTA is another one of the weaker chapters at ECU. but they're also relatively new. they do have a really cool looking house though.
(kittie)"Weaker" how do you mean? Just wondering. Do you mean doesn't participate in much?

They did an awesome job during rush. I wanted to go ZTA but I got dropped by them. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif They are known the pretty girls. Probably the best sorority on campus.
I don't have a great impression of them because they played a bit dirty during rush.
They are HOT! For the best looking sorority at ISU, it is between them and Chi-O. However, Chi-O has a bunch of snotty girls in it. Zetas are much nicer, but they still have a ways to go until I'd like them as much as my personal favorite, ALPHA GAMMA DELTA!
ZTA's folded at my school about 6 years ago. They were really small before they folded with about 40 members, compared to 120-140 for the other sororities on campus.
While there wasn't a ZTA chapter at my school, I do know one Zeta...
the famous Pnguintrax (i.e. Barbara), and I think we can all agree that she is fabulous! She is a source of superb NPC information! WOO WOO!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif |
CutiePie2000 You are soo right, Barbara has helped me out so much.
ZTAngel, I am soo happy to say that last night I went to my first dinner at the Zeta house here at SHSU. I plan to rush this Spring. I first e-mailed all of the sororities on campus in the fall of my senior year. They were the only ones who replied & invited me down to hang out. I've stayed in contact with them & last night was the first night I've ever had so many people introduce themselves and strike up conversation simply because they had never met me before. I've met girls from the other sororites and even went to a locals initiation this past Saturday, but non of them were as fabulous at ZTA. The fact that they're one of the prettiest and more popular sororites on campus (from what I've heard) is just a bonus http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Allison ------------------ A mistake at least proves that somebody stopped talking long enough to do something. ~ Anonymous |
Q-T Pie,
I'm glad that you had fun at the Zeta dinner. I wish you the best of luck during rush in the Spring. Keep us posted on what happens! |
I have to admit that I am a bit biased, but I absolutely love Zeta! Here, they are incredibly beautiful (in every sense of the word) and very down-to-earth women. We are extremely involved in Panhellenic -- we always have a Zeta on the exec board. This year, the Panhellenic president and Head Rho Chi were Zetas! We are also very active on campus, with women holding leadership positions all over the place. We are really growing and making a name for ourselves -- this year we went over quota in Rush (something only really great sororities do, which I think speaks very highly of Zeta). Personally, there is nothing that I'd rather be than a Zeta at Tennessee. If life were fair, after all, everyone would get crowned!
I am a little biased, as my daughter is a Zeta. They were always one of the stronger houses when I was in school and seem to be tops at her school.
Q-T Pie, I'm glad things are working out for you. |
Since I am an ex-ZTA, I have to say they are cool! One one campus I attended, they were pretty much normal, at quota and fun. On the other they struggled a little since they were the newest and one of the smallest.
When I was in school we had ZTA. They were some nice girls. One dated one of my pledge brothers. This was 6 years ago though. I wouldnt say they were one of the more popular ones, but they were extremely active on campus. Of course any chapter can vary from school to school.
I am a KD at CSU,San Bernardino, and we have ZTA's at our campus as well, and I absolutely love them. They are awesome girls, and even though we are not in the same sorority we have some things in common like where we were founded! Neway they are very nice. |
ZTA's here at UNF are pretty awesome girls, definatly one of the top sororities....i love woodser and ZTA round-up. And of course the UCF ZTA's are some of the coolest girls ever...they definatly set the new fashion trends on that campus...yes ZTAangel i know a bunch of your sisters besides veronica and lindi. ZTA's are definatly my party girls and dance partners when im down at UCF parties. I'll be back down there for spring rush party and maybe a derby days party too ZTAangel. Whats your name....i might know you.
Ya i've met a ton of nicole's that are zeta's there but who knows, i coulda met you and didn't know it. Most of the girls i know at UCF though are KD's and Tri-delts.What sigs do you know at UCF?
I know Mark, Sean, Paul, Ken...there are more but I'm bad with names. I'm not going to post these guy's last names bc I don't know how happy they'd be with having their full name posted over the internet. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
ya i know all those guys plus like tree and demarco....sean your talking about sean johnson right
yup, sean johnson. good guy. he got me out of a lot of parking tickets! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
I love being a zeta tau alpha!

ZTA at ECU is not a weak chapter, they have been here since 1985ish. They did struggle during Fall Recruitment but have always remained at or above total. They have wonderful leadership and received Chapter of the Year two years ago and the new Panhellenic President is a ZTA, and might I add has been trained by the best!
ZTA has a strong belief system and plays by the rules, which may have been some part of why their Recruitment was off this year! They get a bad rap from the bum Recruitment, but they do not have a bad chapter, just a bad semester! ------------------ Lexi Hasapis |
preppie, do you ever have anything positive to say about any sororities? Are you in one, and if so which one? I have read your posts on the KD thing too. I am not saying you shouldnt say that since it is your opinion, but what is a good sorority at your school in YOUR opinion?
Preppie, there's a difference making an opinion and insulting. You are insulting. I now see why you've gotten all the KD's upset. Are you really that insensitive?
Now do you see why there are a growing number of people who dislike reading about opinions on GLOs? Err...I think it's time to close this thread.
------------------ *I'm an Alpha Gam...Yes I am, Yes I am!* |
I disagree with preppie and kittie.
ZTAs at ECU are not weak and "scetch". There's a difference between having a rough semester and being a bad chapter. For once--can you guys focus on anything positive!? Your comments are ridiculous! How about you try supporting chapters--it feels a lot better! |
I think the Zeta's are super sweet girls http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
