It's a pretty interesting and detailed site. Places I'm not shocked to see on my top 24: -San Jose -Oakland -DC -Honolulu -Boston -San Diego -Chicago -LA -Las Vegas Places I'm shocked to see on my top 24: -Baltimore (which is my top result) -Long Beach, CA -Orange County, CA -Portland -Little Rock -Medford, OR (Never heard of the place) -Charleston, WV -Random places in the Northeast Places I'm shocked that I didn't see on my top 24: -NYC -Madison, WI -Orlando -Miami |
I've been to that site before. It's really awesome! Some of my cities were:
-Manchester, NH -Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester (all NY) -Raleigh, NC -Reading, PA -Erie, PA -Richmond, VA Not really sure if I will end up moving to any of these places, but you never know. |
Salisbury, North Carolina
Murray, Kentucky Gainesville, Georgia Oxford, Mississippi----FUNNY I live here now! Greenville, South Carolina Chapel Hill, North Carolina Winterville, North Carolina Clarksville, Tennessee Fredericksburg, Virginia Guthrie, Oklahoma Hickory, North Carolina Tulsa, Oklahoma Paris, Tennessee Maryville, Tennessee---My great grandmother was from this area of TN!!!! Hendersonville, North Carolina Hampton, Virginia Durham, North Carolina Roswell, Georgia Raleigh, North Carolina Morganton, North Carolina Chattanooga, Tennessee Salisbury, Maryland Hopkinsville, Kentucky Myrtle Beach, South Carolina |
HAHAHAHA!
I got Los Angeles, California Orange County, California San Diego, Californa All places I've lived & would live again though I'm in the inland empire now. LOL! I'm an obviously born & bred California girl. |
My results:
Baltimore, Maryland Boston, Massachusetts Providence, Rhode Island New Haven, Connecticut Hartford, Connecticut Cape Cod, Massachusetts Charleston, West Virginia Frederick, Maryland Worcester, Massachusetts Carson City, Nevada Albuquerque, New Mexico Danbury, Connecticut Santa Fe, New Mexico Reno, Nevada Las Vegas, Nevada Portland, Oregon Gaithersburg, Maryland Las Cruces, New Mexico Little Rock, Arkansas Washington, District of Columbia Cambridge, Massachusetts Stamford-Norwalk, Connecticut San Francisco, California San Jose, California This site has me pegged. I've lived in three of these 24 cities and I've lived in suburbs of two others. I was surprised to see places in New Mexico and Nevada, and I'm not sure where Little Rock came from... Edit: The detail page for Danbury, CT says it's "just a short commute from New York City". 2 hours one way on Metro-North is short??? |

What's wrong with Miami? Why do some people hate it?

Miami, and most of Florida, just grosses me out. Miami is way too liberal/urban/ghetto for me. Many areas in Florida just remind me of the Jersey shore, and I could never live there.

Norfolk, Virginia
Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia Charleston, South Carolina Tampa, Florida Orlando, Florida Charlotte, North Carolina Houston, Texas Nashville, Tennessee Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Memphis, Tennessee West Palm Beach, Florida Louisville, Kentucky Jacksonville, Florida Dallas, Texas Fort Worth, Texas Augusta, Georgia Knoxville, Tennessee Atlanta, Georgia Austin, Texas San Antonio, Texas Miami, Florida Richmond, Virginia Hampton, Virginia Greenville, North Carolina |
I dont really know. My visits to Miami have been fairly limited. I'm sure it has nice areas, but even those I doubt are my style. Mostly, Florida is just a little too pop culture for my tastes. Now West Palm is more my style, and maybe something on the panhandle. However, I'd have a tough time telling people I'm from Florida with a straight face.
|
These didn't really surprise me, esp. since I've been in Tx for the last several months and will hopefully be moving to Florida soon. ;)
Phoenix, Arizona Tampa, Florida Orlando, Florida El Paso, Texas Houston, Texas Norfolk, Virginia Jacksonville, Florida San Antonio, Texas Memphis, Tennessee Fort Worth, Texas Charleston, South Carolina Tucson, Arizona Austin, Texas Augusta, Georgia Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Dallas, Texas Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia West Palm Beach, Florida Louisville, Kentucky Brownsville, Texas McAllen, Texas Charlotte, North Carolina Nashville, Tennessee Yuma, Arizona |
Places I am not surprised:
Worcester, Massachusetts Milwaukee, Wisconsin Providence, Rhode Island Danbury, Connecticut New Haven, Connecticut Madison, Wisconsin Hartford, Connecticut Sheboygan, Wisconsin Chicago, Illinois (not surprised, lived around there my entire life) Eau Claire, Wisconsin Boston, Massachusetts Cape Cod, Massachusetts Oshkosh-Appleton/Neenah, Wisconsin La Crosse, Wisconsin Oak Park, Illinois (just love the Frank Lloyd Wright houses here...the website misspelled his name though) Champaign-Urbana, Illinois (interesting, didn't go to school at U of I, but my school was pretty darn close to there) Stamford-Norwalk, Connecticut Kenosha, Wisconsin Green Bay, Wisconsin Cambridge, Massachusetts Man, I have alot of Wisconsin and Connecticut locations. Wisconsin's ok, they just don't like Chicago drivers and I am definitely a Chicago driver. Places I am surprised: Bend, Oregon Medford, Oregon Portland, Oregon Carson City, Nevada |
Do you think Wisconsin and Connecticut have some kind of deal with this site? Almost all of mine were from one or the other. Throw in a little Washington DC for randomness and that's my list.

I got Cincinnati as my top spot. I have never been there. I got various cities in Tennessee.
Nothing in Florida or even Georgia. Probably because I put that I do NOT like really hot weather. |

I can't believe Augusta was on my list...I live here and it SUCKS! But based on the answers I gave, I can kind of understand it being there. Anyway, my number one spot is where I've said I wanted to live ever since high school, and lots of the others are places I'd definitely consider, so...good times.
Charleston, SC Jacksonville, FL Las Vegas, NV (this one was kind of random among the others listed) Baton Rouge, LA Alexandria, LA Little Rock, AR Orlando, FL West Palm Beach, FL Houston, TX Biloxi-Gulfport, MS Pheonix, AZ Augusta, GA Gainesville, FL (I could never live here) Tallahassee, FL Shreveport-Bossier City, LA Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, VA Norfolk, VA Hattiesburg, MS Tampa, FL Honolulu, HI Clearwater, FL Austin, TX San Antonio, TX Baltimore, MD (the only place on my list above the Mason-Dixon line, haha) |
