My results:

Baltimore, Maryland

I was surprised to see places in New Mexico and Nevada, and I'm not sure where Little Rock came from...

Edit: The detail page for Danbury, CT says it's "just a short commute from New York City". 2 hours one way on Metro-North is short???

Obviously they've never driven it - it sounds like people when they describe places as being "right outside of Boston."

PhiMuAmberkins 04-22-2006 01:13 AM

SSS1365 04-24-2006 06:49 PM

I'm glad Raleigh, NC was on my list since I'm moving there in a few weeks!

What's wrong with Miami? Why do some people hate it?

Well... I lived there for four years while going to UM... and I used to love it, but I can't really stand it anymore. It's just way too busy for me. Too many terrible drivers, rush hour at all hours, store employees who don't speak English... But I absolutely love Fort Lauderdale (where I live now), which is just a little bit north. It's far less hectic.

shinerbock 07-18-2006 07:48 PM

Miami, and most of Florida, just grosses me out. Miami is way too liberal/urban/ghetto for me. Many areas in Florida just remind me of the Jersey shore, and I could never live there.

Miami-Dade county has vastly different areas... yes, some are urban/ghetto, but some are very conservative as well... along with everything in-between. It all depends on where you go. What areas of Miami are you referring to??

f8nacn 07-18-2006 09:43 PM

Norfolk, Virginia
Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia
Charleston, South Carolina
Tampa, Florida
Orlando, Florida
Charlotte, North Carolina
Houston, Texas

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Memphis, Tennessee
West Palm Beach, Florida
Louisville, Kentucky
Jacksonville, Florida
Dallas, Texas

Austin, Texas
San Antonio, Texas
Miami, Florida
Richmond, Virginia
Hampton, Virginia
Greenville, North Carolina

shinerbock 07-18-2006 10:16 PM

I dont really know. My visits to Miami have been fairly limited. I'm sure it has nice areas, but even those I doubt are my style. Mostly, Florida is just a little too pop culture for my tastes. Now West Palm is more my style, and maybe something on the panhandle. However, I'd have a tough time telling people I'm from Florida with a straight face.

Marie 08-08-2006 11:24 AM

These didn't really surprise me, esp. since I've been in Tx for the last several months and will hopefully be moving to Florida soon. ;)

Phoenix, Arizona
Tampa, Florida
Orlando, Florida

Places I am not surprised:
Worcester, Massachusetts
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Providence, Rhode Island
Danbury, Connecticut
New Haven, Connecticut
Madison, Wisconsin
Hartford, Connecticut
Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Chicago, Illinois (not surprised, lived around there my entire life)
Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Boston, Massachusetts
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Oshkosh-Appleton/Neenah, Wisconsin
La Crosse, Wisconsin
Oak Park, Illinois (just love the Frank Lloyd Wright houses here...the website misspelled his name though)
Champaign-Urbana, Illinois (interesting, didn't go to school at U of I, but my school was pretty darn close to there)
Stamford-Norwalk, Connecticut
Kenosha, Wisconsin
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Cambridge, Massachusetts

Man, I have alot of Wisconsin and Connecticut locations. Wisconsin's ok, they just don't like Chicago drivers and I am definitely a Chicago driver.

Places I am surprised:
Bend, Oregon
Medford, Oregon
Portland, Oregon
Carson City, Nevada

Do you think Wisconsin and Connecticut have some kind of deal with this site? Almost all of mine were from one or the other. Throw in a little Washington DC for randomness and that's my list.

I was thinking the same thing about Arkansas and Louisiana, lol. I got so many results from those states, and honestly, how often do people really want to move to Arkansas or Louisiana unless they're already from there?? I was wondering if it was some kind of marketing ploy ...

My results:

Little Rock, Arkansas
Monroe, Louisiana
Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana
Baltimore, Maryland
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Las Cruces, New Mexico
Alexandria, Louisiana
Gaithersburg, Maryland
Sacramento, California
Hot Springs-Hot Springs Village, Arkansas
Las Vegas, Nevada
Natchitoches, Louisiana
Charleston, West Virginia
Frederick, Maryland
San Diego, California
Orange County, California
Salisbury, Maryland
Portland, Oregon
Long Beach, California
Oakland, California
Covington, Louisiana
Honolulu, Hawaii
Mountain Home/Bull Shoals, Arkansas
Cherokee Village, Arkansas

I got a good bit of Maryland and California, too, but those were much more expected ...

Scandia 08-13-2006 01:42 PM

I got Cincinnati as my top spot. I have never been there. I got various cities in Tennessee.

Nothing in Florida or even Georgia. Probably because I put that I do NOT like really hot weather.

CrimsonTide4 08-13-2006 02:24 PM
