I was wondering if anyone else read As the Sands Burn. It's a greek web-opera. If you do can we please discuss. If not, follow the links and tell me what you think.

I read the skeephi and bet versions too.. so here's my few cents.. probably a little more than that, actually, so bear with me. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

1. I am so happy for Denice. I mean.. thrilled. I've been waiting for her love for Brandon to be revealed for so long! Just goes to show closed mouths don't get fed.

2. I LOVE MIRI! I am so glad he told Mona everything she needed to know about herself. Now I just need Jahanna to figure out Mona is PaperWait and not PJ. Am I mixing versions here? I think so. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif

3. LAWDHAMMERCY, why did Nino have to die? I liked that boy for real.. I hope Candance doesn't hook up with one of his boys.. I would have to hurt her.

4. I wish Katrice/April/Donna could get their stuff together cause really their storyline is getting old, tired and just plain disgusting. I mean panties on the table? Really.

Soror I agree with you (about Deneice and Brandon), but why didn't Brendon give him the message? Does he like Deneice too?

I miss Nino too, but I don't think Candace will hook up with anyone( even though it seems that she was connecting with Reggie) I know she said she wants to transfer, but she has to be there to bring SGRhoto the campus.

I don't know if I LOVE Miri, but I am happy he put Mona in her place. Unfortunately people might think that he was talking about Gina, not Mona. Hopefully Mona will do something to give herself up.

Also I wish Miri would stop mentioning his dislike for the white interest in Sigma, I mean get over it dang.

I can't wait until next week's episode.

I read both versions faithfully. I was so sad when Nino died...I cried for him and Candace. Yes, Brandon just kissed Denise,but what does that really mean? Oh, well, guess I have to wait until Thursday.
Yeah, and I am glad that Mona is finally getting put in her place...it's LONG overdue!!!!

I tried to view the soap from this link and was unsuccessful. I did not see it from the BET homepage. How do you get to it? Seems like it could be interesting.

My opinion about the storyline so far...

* I think that Brendon likes Denice, and that is why he didn't tell Brandon about that phone call, and I think that Brandon kissed her to shut her up from crying (I know that I will get blasted for this answer LOL). I think that he is up to something...

* Reesee(?) needs to leave Gregg, because it shouldn't have taken the death of Nino to make him realize that he had a good woman.

* Nino shouldn't have died-PERIOD. The storyline was getting juicy until he died-now that leaves Candace in the air (I think that she's gonna hook up w/ one of his frat brothers).

* It's a shame how PJ has been through so much (in both versions of ATSB)-I hope that they see that PaperWait is really Mona and not her.

* The storyline between the professor and Breeanna(?) is getting GOOD!! She told his wifey the truth and now she may not be accepted into DST.

also, it really needs to be cleared up that MONstA is paper wait. i was laughing SO HARD at miri's poem. what was even funnier is that i went to a poetry reading that night at school and someone was clowning in a similar fashion.

somebody got to tell me what's up with sean? that boy done lost his mind!! rush hopping? stomping and barking wearing colors?? and with them throwing iota phi theta into the mix, that boy gone have a colorful closet: red, white, black, gold, purple, blue, brown...aww the boy is outta his mind!!

Do y'all think Breanna should tell the Stacie the truth? I'm not sure. Anybody know why Robin has it in for Breanna so much?

And um.. when were Gregg and Denice together? I must have missed that! And if Brendon really does like Denice... how will that affect his getting in to KAPsi, with Gregg in charge? Hope he doesn't pull a Shareesa/PJ move...

Okay I'm hooked. I'm going to go over the past episodes and catch up. I can't wait!!

Breanna told Stacey over the phone-it was a few episodes after Breanna and the professor went to the Mary J concert together. In that episode, Breanna called her and talked to her, and wifey called her a slut/tramp, and didn't want to believe that she was telling the truth. I read it kind of fast, so it might have been a dream ( I don't think it was), but check the BET version archive.

I think that was a dream, because, she had two versions of the same thing. Because when she picke dup the phone and called Stacey, Alex picked up the phone and hooked her up with Ramona for the Delta Week event.
At least that's how I remember it.

I didn't know about Denice and Gregg either.

I don't think Robin has it in for Breanna personally, I just think she likes playing with people. But she's going to want to know why she walked out of the program.
I wish Breanna would hurry up and tell Stacie, she has to take a chance on stacie's reaction. No woman, or person deserves to be played like that.

I don't think that Denise and Gregg were together... Gregg ain't that much of a player.

I have to agree with AR3Y (on the BET forums) on this one... I think that what happened to P. J. will happen to her (Stacie), but she'll make it. After all this will be a GOOD learning experience for her.

Gregg and Denice were together!! Read about the confrontation in today's BET version. Gregg is a dog! He wants to keep Shareesa now that he's lost Nino, but didn't want her when she stood by his side while he played her like a fool.

I think that someone is gonna catch on to the professor and Breanna. Wasn't it Robin that walked in the classroom when they had just finished kissing? And they were seen together at the Mary J concert.

* I don't know why Alex thinks that his indiscretions with Breanna are not going to be told to his wife-he and Breanna were seen in public together a few times! I think that he's going to get worried and tell Stacie himself, but try to place all blame on Breanna.

* Brandon should kick Brendon's a$$! How selfish was that?? I still think that Brendon likes Denise.

* I'm still waiting to hear about Caryn (wasn't she the one that had Bobby/Gregg/all the other frat's on campus' baby?) They've put her character on the low for a while now...

If you read some of the waaaay back issues you'll see why Ronnie has beef with Sean. Sean expressed interest in Omega Psi Phi, but after going to an informational or something, also expressed interest in Alpha and I think Kappa too.. somebody correct me if I'm wrong cause I tend to get episodes and versions all scrambled up! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif He needs to get called out before he gets serious about Iota cause anybody THAT disillusioned should have been researching before he expressed interest in ANYTHING.

As far as Robin and Breanna - I think it's all in love. Some of the girls who are members of the org I'm interested in will do certain things or pose particular questions(not nearly as rude as Robin though), and it's obvious it's just too see how I'll respond or react. I am also an avid ready of ATSB both on the skeephi.com and BET.com. It's pretty well written. At this point I just want to choke the pink and green out of Mona she is just too scandelous. I was happy that Miri called her out in public! Was I the only one cracking up on that one. What's up with that confused guy I can't remember his name write now but his father want's him to be an Alpha but he wan't to be a Que? Oh lawd, how about the same sex drama going on on that soap! April, Donna, and Katrice....can you say OH NO!!! The other thing I appreciate about the soap is that it pretty much includes everyone and shows the good and bad.

Just to ask another question, on the email list we are discussing who would play what character, I think most people thought Beyonce would be the perfect Mona, and Hayden should be Morris Chestnut. What do y'all think?

I was the one telling them that Allen Payne should play Donte, but I guess they wasn't feeling me on that one :-(. Well, I think any of them Beyonce's Girls qualifies to play PHONA, although I vouch for Kelli. Personally though, I thought Blair Underwood should be Hayden and Morris Chestnut should be Corey since Hayden is older and Blair seems like he is older then Morris.

I have not had a new version of the skeephi verison of ATSB for about 2 or 3 weeks. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? I get the weekly changes for the bet.com version.

You ain't the only one with that problem. ADOP has been real busy latley because he's with a step troupe (I forgot what it's called) and they are doing college tours, so come times the skeephi.com version gets sacraficed. I think its for a good reason though and who knows, we might get a longer episode this time.

Well, the SkeePhi.com version WAS kinda wack this time-and after I waited like 2 1/2 weeks for it...but the BET version makes me wish it came out every day!!!! What's the deal with Gregg trying to push back up on Denice-if she has any sense she will leave him alone and come clean with Brandon about what happened(after he crosses for SIGMA. As for Brendon, he's always seemed a little selfish and petty to me (remember when Denice
covered for him with the presentation-and then he waited until the last minute to do hers?) Screw him-he needs to stay out of his brother's business.

That broad Donna has alot of nerve, why she tripping? she was the one who messed the thing with Xavier up, obviously she's not missing him that much if she's already hooking up with Katrice again.
Brandon needs to come out and ask denice about Gregg, i don't understand why Brendon thinks that his messing with donna, is not as bad as Brandon messing with denice, I wouldn't want him as my twin.

PrettyKitty, I think most of the characters are based on real people. (Especially the greeks in the "urea") I think I know who Mona is based on, except for in real life the story turned out differently

Well I want to see what happens to her and the rest of the crew.
