Midwest GC gathering
 

Tom and I were talking one day about the possibility of scheduling some kind of GreekChat gathering for those of us who live in the Midwest. I was just curious as to whether or not there's enough interest.

KTSnake is in Oklahoma City, which is a good 7-8 hours(depending on what part of the metro area) from KC.

Don't know, Amber...just trying to get a feel for how many people would be game. As far as the date goes, whatever would work best...I think Tom said he would offer up his place for the afterparty! :D

IT is "sometimes" Midwest. I always think of Midwest as Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana....

I would say KC is in the Midwest. It has the word Kansas in it...and Kansas is sooo midwest.

Arkansas is totally in the South though.

Alright let's settle this now. Some people are fighting for Chicago, others are fighting for KC. Ummm....St. Louis is kind of the mid-point, so we should have it there. :p

I actually thought about that. I would we be willing to drive a few hours if it meant a better turnout.

If the date's right, I can definitely do St. Louis! In fact, I have some friends there who have been known to put up 6-8 extra people. How, I don't know - I've always stayed in a hotel. They're in Des Peres?

LOL - I'm making a trip into Chicago some weekend in May or possibly June, and a run down to St. Louis isn't out of the question. Have you checked hotel rates lately? I've seen some mean deals lately!

You know, i've loved meeting GC'ers. Our Pittsburgh GC gatherings have been a blast. But even at the first one, most of the attendees were people I spoke to frequently, and it's only a few minute drive from where I live.

Driving for hours, taking vacation days, staying overnight in a hotel room, etc. to meet people that you don't even really talk to on a regular basis? :eek: :eek: :eek:

I go to Chicago somewhat regularly anyhow - St. Louis is just about 3-4 hours away. As long as I don't have to drive...

The Legends area in KC Ks, has a lot of shopping Places and Bar/Eating places.

Easy to get to and reasonable Motels. Well for OUT of town folks.
