We discussed this on another board, and said that she seemed pretty silly to just believe dude at face value like that. Some of his story, as she presented it, made red flags go up for me. But doing this public display makes her look like a bigger fool, IMO.

All the money she was willing to pay and opening up bank accounts, the herpes, etc were red flags but I guess him being good looking was her "kryptonite" to paying attention to the whole story.:confused:

She just seemed extra pressed to "have" a man. Who TOLD you he had herpes. Ew.. If he's making six figures, why is he borrowing money from you? Why are you opening an bank account for some DUDE WHO DOESN'T HAVE ANY MONEY? HELLOOOO!!!!

She is a woman scorned. But she put herself out there to get hurt really bad. But if what is alleges(sp) is true, I dont feel sorry for him one bit.

ETA. You know someone is really scorned if they are willing to take themselves down just to take another person down.

All I can say is wow. She put alot of time and energy into this, she must have had feelings for him.

I don't know what to say on this one...as I was it, I guess I was more leaning towards her and supporting her...but after coming back here and reading the comments made by you all...well I don't know what to believe? Whatever came about this situation? Is it still being "investigated" or was it ever? It's just a plain out stinky story either way (for her and for him)

At this point I hope she has at least learned a lesson from all of this. My mother used to tell us that there is no shame in having a good heart but there is shame in taking advantage of someone with a good heart. On the flip side of that having a good heart doesn't mean being a fool!

She was/is an idiot. The police can not and will not prosecute a person when you WILLINGLY give them money. He didn't steal anything from her. The most that she can do is file a claim against him in court in an attepmt to retrieve her money. That's why she hasn't heard anything back from the police.

As for the STD, all she can do is to continue to get treatment.

As women, we need to start taking some responsibility for what happens to us and stop blaming people for taking advantage of us. People can only do what you allow them to do to you. These chicks just have a spare $1500, $3000, $5000 laying around to give away? WTH?

It actually made me chuckle out loud.

I agree that she showed ridiculously poor judgment being involved with the guy, and taking the case to the police is not going to get her much, but I like the idea of a public information site where women (or men, as the case may be) can post about sleazy people like this who have tried to seriously cheat them in relationships. I mean, people who do that sort of thing on that kind of scale usually do it with more than one person ...

Something similar was on the morning news (GMA? Today? can't remember) last week. A lady is running a wesbsite called "don't date 'em, girl" and being sued by one of the men being discussed/featured.

^^ Oh yeah. I could easily see that happening.

I think the woman scorned should have taken him to court and sued him instead of trying to pursue criminal action. I think it is sad when people try to buy love.
