Death of a New Soror
 

Hey Sorors,

I just want to make every soror aware that a fellow soror has now passed away. She was allegedly killed then set on fire on March 5, 2006 which was also her birthday. She has a 5 year old daughter. She was initiated Fall 05 at Bowie University, Eta Chaper. I just want you to remember her and her family in your prayers tonight.

Her family is definitely in my prayers....:(

Extremely heartbreaking. :( My thoughts and prayers with the family, friends, and AKAs who knew and loved her.

how awful! i do hope this soror is able to get justice in death. her family, especially her little one, will be in my prayers.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. My prayers go out to the Sorors family and the ladies of Eta chapter. I pray that she is able to rest in peace.

I just learned that the 15th South Central Regional Director, Soror Dorothy Johnson passed away. Her services will be Saturday in Shreveport, LA.

My condolences go out to the families, friends and sistergreeks of those that have passed away.

What??!!:mad: This is horrible! Nobody deserves that. My prayers are with her family at this time, esp. her babygirl.:(

These are very unfortunate events indeed. I hope that the murderer of the first Soror is found, charged and convicted SOON!:mad:

Oh my goodness! :( I am so sorry to hear of this. I will definitely keep her family and all that knew her in my prayers.

I am in Baltimore and the incident happen in the DC area so i just find out information through a soror that was her linesister. If more information becomes available I will be sure to let GC know.

This is very sad news. I will pray for her family.

I just heard on today's news that the person who they believed committed the murder was killed by the police. He was first attempting to commit suicide but then began to approach the police when he was shot by a sniper. (I hope that's not too much detail)

When a life is taken, it affects everyone. I'm so saddened to hear that the little girl has lost her mom. She's definitely in my prayers.

A tragic ending. :(

I was skeptical about the bfriend from the article posted yesterday.

I was too. When I saw him on the news I was like he not crying or showing any type of emotion. Tomorrow is her vigil so hoepfully I will be traveling home to attend it..

This is so sad.:( Her daughter and I have the same name. I'l be praying for her and the rest of the family.

I am so saddened by this. I pray for the families and friends of the Sorors.

My condolences. I heard about this from my grandmother and I thought that it was horrible. I was unaware that she was an AKA. This is truly a tragedy. I feel so bad for her daughter and her family. My brother was also gruesomely murdered so I can understand some of what her family is going through. They will need all of the love and support you can offer. Your sorors and their family will be in my prayers.

I am just speechless and so sad to hear of the loss of this soror! Why? People are just ridiculous!
