America's Next Top Model: Cycle 6
 

The two hour premiere airs on March 8th. I was a little shocked to see that they are airing Cycle 6 so soon. I guess UPN wants to get there ratings up as high as they can before they merge with the WB. Is anyone gonna watch?

IMO, a lot of the girls look like past contestants. From the photos, I like Mollie Sue and Danielle.

Oh snap. I've never watched this show until the other day. I got fished into it at the gym and ended up watching two epsiodes there and then two at home -- seriously, four hours -- and it turned out to be the first ever season. It's kind of like crack, isn't it?

It really is addictive. I find myself watching it on VH1 all the time. Cycle 5 was the first season that I ever watched from the beginning on UPN, but I have seen most of them through VH1. I'm actually really excited for this new cycle... I feel like such a nerd.

Was one of the challenges collagen injections in the lips? I'm looking at you Brooke and Sara... their lips just don't look right

YIPPEE!!! I love this show! I've been getting my Nigel fix thanks to VH1! Has anyone been watching Tyra's show. It's been off for a the Olympics so Ellen can be on...but it's still quite entertaining. I like Leslie and Danielle has a great cheekbones! Mr. Anon will love it since there's someone from his home town, Corpus Christi!

Yeah I love this show!!!!

Maybe they should rename the show "America's Top Catalog Model" or "America's Top Fit Model," since the girls are, as you said, "older" and "shorter."

So glad the chick that went, went. Even though she's from NC I was just NOT seeing what they saw in her...

I thought a couple of those girls were going to walk out of the salon when Jay told them they were going bald! I think that was a really great test of their dedication and attitude after Cassandra threw the fit over her hair in the last cycle.

Wow! Their personalities have really changed my mind on a lot of them! Nnenna is amazing! If she doesn't win this, I will be shocked. She is SOOOOO interesting looking, total 'high fashion' model. I think I've been watching this too long, because I keep making the same comments that Ms and Mr. J make! You can totally tell which girls are 'commercial' and which are 'haute couture'.

My favs:

Danielle (she is very beautiful, and just seems so natural)
Sara (I can see her going both ways)
Kari (GORGEOUS, she just seems so innocent! BIG EYES!)

Next to go:

Gina (I don't even think I need to explain)
Jade (I don't think she'll be able to live up to her own hype)
Wendy (she just doesn't photograph well to me)

OH! And I cannot wait until they cut off all of Brooke and Joanie's hair, cuz you know they will!

Omigosh, Gina is SO awful! Like She's a cute girl, but def not ANTM. And her drinking like a fish- after Lisa last season you'd think she would know better!

As for Jade, I totally agree with you. She has a great look, but she's too full of herself. I don't see Tyra and the judges putting up with her too much longer unless she changes her ways.

And Wendy they'll keep just for her storyline. She has weird look to me, and while I don't want her to win, I don't hate it either.

4- Kari

Maybe not totally that order, but they're my tops. Danielle's good too. :)

I definately like Nnenna and Kari. I really like Wendi also. I think the makeovers tend to change the girls in a way, so until next week who knows.


I definately DON'T see Jade being in the running very long. The judges are already picking up on her "holier than thou" attitude and the "my shit doesn't stink". I mean heck they called her on it during judging and she like lied through her teeth (hello video proof, ouch!)


I can see Nnenna going far.



Is anyone else a bit more pleased with this cycle than last cycle? It took a long time for me to be "impressed" with any of the girls last cycle and then they weren't consistent. Although when it came down to the end I did want Nicole to win.
The photo's the girls took last night, some were just breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous.

Nnenna is gorgeous. I hope she does well.

I like Sara (so does my hubby :p) and there's something I like about Wendy. She's not pretty, but she looks interesting. She has potential to take some pictures that will make her stand out.

Gina has GOT to go, although I think they might keep her around for the drama to make fun of her. Jade's attitude is wretched and she's older than most washed up models.

dang. its def. sucks...they finally got an asian girl and she's not even that great (im asian...there are way better looking girls than her)

...i kinda felt bad for her, such as easy target, also since she's the "token" asian! anyway, i think she will last mid season, simply because Tyra has said many times that she wanted an asian to make it far/ win (season2 - april)

hate: JADE! i cant stand her attitude...she's a mix of Camille (tho much uglier) and Ebony, Forunda (i don tthink shes pretty at all)

glad to see kathy go...she sucked.

I just wanted to give Furanda a sandwich when she was in her swimsuit. She's practically non-existant!

I'm glad Kathy left. When Jay was telling her to look differently and she kept opening her eyes and making them look like saucers, I was scared. I defintiely think they could have picked one of the other girls to be in the top 13.

That girl from Texas made me so mad. I'm glad she didn't get in the top 13. She reminded me too much of Cassandra and her pageant queen ways.

The way they edited the footage made it seem like she was starting the conversations. If she was asked her opinions and and gave an honest answer tactfully, maybe it could be excused, but if she just randomly started talking about how she doesn't like blacks and gays, that is just not acceptable. Have a little class and respect other people opinions even if you don't agree with them.

Nnenna is GORGEOUS! The photo she took with the jewels on her neck took my breath away. I also really like Mollie Sue, I love her hair.

I finally watched the first episode. Nnenna is so awesome I don't see how anybody can really compete with her.

I agree with all of y'all about Nnenna. She is amazing!!! I cannot wait until the next episode on Wednesday. I hope Jade gets kicked off soon because she really pisses me off with the whole "I'm better than you" mantra.

I haven't watched the show yet this season but, just from looking through the girls' pictures on the website, I think Kari is just gorgeous. Nnenna, also.

I don't find Wendy appealing. How could someone with a schnoz like that wake up one morning and think, "Hey, I think I'll apply to be on ANTM!" Meow. Not that anyone's knocking down my door to put my short, old a$$ on the show, but still! :D

I bet she'll be kept around for all the drama value a la Yaya from Season 3.

i missed episode one, but from what i saw from episode 2, i'm not that impressed with Nneena :confused: though i'm not that impressed with any of the girls...

There is just something about her that I find intriguing. I love her pictures. I think she'll be around for awhile.

I really wanted Jade to get the boot last night. Her attitude was quite annoying.

I thought the rules Forounda (is that her name?) passed out where quite humorous. Mainly because some of them were just like "duh, you should be treating others that way anyways"

Amen! Although, for a second, I thought they were for all the girls so they could treat each other the same way. Then I realized that it was just Furonda....it was just funny the looks on some of the girls' faces.

Haha, well the one "I will treat you the same or WORSE than you treat me" one was stinking priceless. I loved it! :p

The funny thing is I totally get the "logic" behind that rule. LOL. I mean seriously, most of the time (and with most people) if someone shows you respect you will tend to show them respect. But if someone is a total bitch to you, you tend to be bitchy back. It's just life.

When I "heard" that rule I busted up laughing.

i can't stand twiggy. shes soo boring. they need to bring janice back!! she was crazy and funny!!! she brought the drama to the judges panel!

I miss Janice. She was blunt (like Simon). She said it like it was. Panel has gotten too nice. Although at times Nigel is kind of mean.

I'm just happy Nigel is there. He's kind of hot! LOL.

I agree. I loved Janice and all the crazy things she'd say. That was part of the fun of watching. Twiggy just seems like she's always having a bad day.

Well, the elimination was a surprise this week. I really thought they'd kick out the Asian girl.

Also, Jade is on my nerves! :mad:
