I remember hearing about this in previous years. I'm thinking KD participated at one point in time. Maybe there weren't enough KDs showing interest.

It's hard for a lot of working people to take that much time off of work, or else i'd love to go!

I would do that cruise if it were in the carribbean, too many people like to kill Americans in that neck of the woods.

Seriiously. American Citizens should have international dispensation to carry weapons when we travel.

Seriously. No.

You can always just stay home.

I had no idea such a thing existed.

for the first time ever, our 71st leadership school this summer will be on a cruise ship!

That's a nice idea - I believe Kappa Sig has included cruise packages with our Grand Conclave (international meeting every two years), but I don't think there's ever been one on a cruise ship.

I'm taking by the picture that this is more something for the older alumni.

Tom Earp 03-24-2006 07:14 PM

If I cannot be able to swim 20 Yards to land, I wont go.

Wont stay in a Hotel more than Second Story!

Tom, Tom, Tom......you really have to work on your issues....

Yeah, I agree! Where's Gamma Phi?! I want to go!

but don't people always get sick on cruise ships...?

OleMissGlitter 03-27-2006 05:44 PM

I believe Affinity Marketing helps put it together and those orgs. get a percentage of the sales or something like that based on how many of their members participate in it.

I've been on the Rotterdam (not this one, but its namesake predecessor ship). Its definately for older alums. Anything on the Holland-America line is for the older crowd. Very nice ships, elegant and such. How cruising was 60 years ago. Its the line you go on with your grandparents if you want to take them on a family trip.

I remember getting an email about this from our Executive Office last year. A fellow organization volunteer asked me if I wanted to go with her but I already had plans to go to Oktoberfest that month. I would have considered it if a)there were other people besides her going that I knew and b)a younger crowd was guaranteed.

With an ignorant world view like that, please do.
