What's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?
It's that time of year again, and I'm just curious, What's your favorite (past or present) GS cookie?
Mine are Thin Mints and Trefoils (shortbread). |
How funny, someone just delivered two boxes of GS cookies to me. My favorites are strawberries and cream (which I don't think they make anymore), caramel delights and shortbread.
|
You know, once a girl scout, always a girl scout!!! I'm upset they changed the names and that the cookies are still $3 a box but you get a whole lot less!!! Nevertheless, I bought $12 in cookies!!!
I LOVE the Lemon Pastries, and Thin Mints. But I really LOVED the DoSiDos! |

The Thin Mints and the peanut butter patties (I forget what they are called) are my FAVORITE! :P Girl, you got me here at work, thinking about gettin some cookies right now! Mmmm mmmm mmmmm.....just make me want to pass out! http://www.plaudersmilies.de/pfohnmacht.gif  |
thin mints...
Thin mints are my favorite Girl Scout cookies. I think I ordered 3 boxes of Thin Mints and 2 boxes of some other kind this year. The other ones are for the man at home. For some reason he hates thin mints. I think he's loony. The woman at work whose daughter is selling this year just sent an email saying they will be in this afternoon. Don't you know I can taste those cookies? mmmmmmmm :D
|
I was both a Brownie and a Junior Girl Scout, and selling cookies paid my way to camp many a day! I have nothing but fond memories of my time with the Girl Scouts. :D
This past Sunday, I just bought two boxes of DoSiDos (Peanut butter sandwich) and one box of Trefoils (used to have sugar sprinkles) for my grandmother. I used to love the peanut butter patty ones too, until I was left with a box of them as a kid and ate until I got sick to my stomach  |
shortbread, yellowbox, trefoils
:D |
Samoas, baby! I can't eat just one...box. :D
|
I Want Some Milk and Cooooooooookies!
Y'all are up in here talking about my favorite food: Cookies!!!!
Anyway, I just bought some girlscout cookies the other day: Dosidos, which are my favorites, and Tagalongs...:D I'll pass on the Thin Mints (ugh!!!)...:o :p |
I am weak for thin mints. My co-worker brought some to the office. BIG MISTAKE! I ate her entire box. I was going through thin withdrawl.
|
chanting...
TREFOILS! TREFOILS! TREFOILS! :D
|
Samoas, hands down. Least favorite are Thin Mint
|
No, I am NOT doing job research, lol. I just wanna know. Cow. :p LOL
We have a new cookie this year, All Abouts. They taste just like Keebler Fudge Stripes. Try 'em!! They are our 90th anniversary cookie! :) Soror SeriousAKA, your area still has the lemon cookies????? Now, those were the bomb! We don't have those this year. But we do have DoSiDo's still. Um, 2D, yellow box???? You gotta do better than that, lol!! When you guys say peanut butter patties, are you talking about the kind covered in chocolate? If so, those are called Tagalongs. Sister Shelacious, I'll be PM'ing you! Who else was a Girl Scout?? I was never a GS. :( |

Yeah, I would say "yellow box". Shucks, the seller knew exactly what I was talking about. LMAO
I was a Brownie in Kindegarten. My sister was a GS and was able to go to camp. I took our Soror's daughter to camp wallahoochiappala this past summer. I was , no, not really at the FEW numbers of US that were there. |

I was a GS for a hot minute. Me and my best friend were "asked to leave" because we talked to much (long story)
However, I redeemed myself by working as a GS counselor my junior year of college. |

THIN MINTS!!!!
Some little girls were selling some boxes at the nail shop I got so excited that the guy had to stop painting my nails. They are so good and you only get them once a year. I had to give some to my class, otherwise I would eat the whole box. :D :D ;) :D :D |
Without a Doubt
It's gotta be the Thin Mints. Second favorite would be Samoas. Still haven's seen the Girls Scouts. Where have you been hiding Girl Scouts

My Fave...
I'm chanting...
THIN MINTS, THIN MINTS, THIN MINTS! I don't even like all the others, that's pretty sad :p I was a GS for a minute...I started at Junior and got up to Cadette/Senior before I stopped. I was about to go to high school, I thought I was getting too old for that. Plus my parents were tired of having to sell cookies for me! :p I also got a chance to see Juliette Low's birthplace in Savannah. I know this is away from the subject, but how do you all get your letters in different colors, sizes, and fonts like that at the bottom of your messages? I've been trying to figure it out. I must be slow! :D Gamma Sigma Sigma Turns Golden...50 Years of Service, Friendship & Equality: 1952-2002 |
I was a girl scout. I was proud to wear my Gorgeous Green uniform...LOL!!!
This thread has a sista cravin' for some gs cookies. I gave up sweets for lent. I like the Peanut Butter Patties. They have to be chilled straight out the 'frig...ummmmmmmm:) |
My favorites are Do-Si-Dos, Samoas and Thin Mints.
|
Former girl scout here....Brownie and Junior. I can still sing all those campfire songs from heart. Anybody remember "The Princess Pat" and "There was a boy and a girl in a little canoe?" I still sing those every now and then.
Now for cookies (Yeah...I want to know where the Girl Scouts are hiding, too)...I always order Samoas. I used to sell Chocolate Chunks back in the late 80s for $1.75 a box (EONS ago) and they were my favorite as well. Nowadays, I dig some Samoas and order at least 5 boxes a year. |

Ok, so I have a question for all the former GSs out there...do different areas have different GS cookies? Oh and why did they change the names of some of the cookies? Oops, that's 2 questions :D sowwy! |
