Has anyone attended a RLC yet?

As far as I know, the only one is the Region 4 & 5 RLC, any attendees?!

ours isn't until the first weekend of march. can't wait!

Is anyone going to the RLC February 11th? If so we should meet up there

I will be at the Region 7 RLC on the 11th... so probobly not at the one you will be at! :(

I don't get to go til end of March.

I haven't heard much but know Programming had been working at improving a couple areas after the first one - so the RLCs should be even better!

Well, the decision has come in and I am not going to be able to make RLC for Region 12. :( But I will definately be thinking about you guys.

Corey I think you're one of the only "regular" posters here who wasn't at LTS this summer, and we had such a good time in Sacramento last year, how could you miss it ??!!

They needed a facilitator for the LA RLC... I emailed Gina and said I could do it... Wendy Lau said she could too...

I havent heard back yet.

It would be a long scary flight, but Id do it for the Cali girls!

Anyway...

Um, if not. Maybe I can plan a Cali trip this summer... my great aunt moved again... Im sure shes still near San Fransisco... AND we talked about San Fransisco today in social studies... and how the big fire was in 1906 - which according to my students - is the year I was born.

San Fran is also:
-in Pittsburgh
-in Pennsylvania
-in Canada
-really San Diego
-where the Steelers play

among other things that second graders do while they arent beating the crap out of eachother.

That would make me EXTREMELY HAPPY... you can totally stay here... and we'll take a road trip to see Tara and Beth and Crystal... (if she's in Cali at the time) and We should force Jen to come too !!! My place isn't big... but for a few days y'all can be cozy. =) I live like 20 minutes form the airport... (I know you HATE flying Ali, but it's a lot faster :D :D OORRR we could get really squishy and Beth and Tara and Wendy and Crystal could come up to San Fran and stay with me too... HEHEHEHEHEHE like a mini LTS or something. We can hold a meeting. =) Maybe for the 25th anniversary of Delta Gamma ! Ohh.. I'm liking the sound of that... HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE ok... on a sugar/caffine high.. I LOVE you all...

Theta Upsilon Sapphire Ball on April 15th @ Knott's. I think everyone should come because it will be fabulous! Crystal was supposed to move down here Sunday so she'll be around. It will be LTS all over again! (minus Jen who should get out here too)

And Ali, it's not just second graders who have no clue about age. My students asked if I had a kid...because one of the freshman football players looks just like me, so apparently I started having kids at 11 :D

I found out at xmas that my cousin lives in LA now and offered to me to drop by anytime...too bad his silly little brother still won't give me his email!

Anyway, I'd love to come out some time - but I actually made plans to go west this year already; Going to Calgary to visit another sister in July - Stampede! Yeah so one cross-continent flight is all i'll be able to afford this year!

You know last year I also had a couple mini-interviews with LAPL hahaha taht would've been interesting.

So can anyone share the best part of RLC - those who've gone. I have another month to wait!!!

I think Jen and I were going to be adventrous and take the train... (??? if my memory serves me) OR I can drive the little Cavilier there and we could carpool to CA.

Anywho.. lemme know... I love to put in anticipated absence requests.... they make me happy!

Ya see, I have this new obsession that's taking over my life even more than phi sig and for those who read my LJ already know, it's dancing. I'm so addicted to swing dancing and it's taking up all my money and spare time!!!

But yeah, give me the dates and I'll see if I'm free ;) (I do get 17 vacation days so time off work isn't really an issue)

Jen, I used to swing dance in highschool... I miss it so much...

well next time there's a dance exchange in PA somewhere, I'll go! (and you'll have to come too)

I have friends heading to Athens, OH this weekend - but I can't make it - or rather, I don't want to miss dance class here (which I would if I went).

So when are we supposed to be heading to Cali?

I don't think I can go next weekend ladies !! :( :( Since I'm a non-delegate, I have to pay for the non delegate fee, AND my own airfare seperately.. (like 500 dollars) so... I really can't afford that just to go to LA for the weekend. Even if I drive it's almost that much if I pay for gas myself... so. I thought my fee would cover airfare too... but it doesn't.... :mad: :(

Hi All,

I will be at RLC on Saturday evening for the Foundation Dinner. That was the only portion of the event I could afford since I'm trying to pay off bills. Plus I'm saving for Convention at DisneyWorld next year.

we raised more than $11,000 at foundation dinner and got something like 65 new rosebud society memberships!!



yay for the west coast!! we rule!!! :D :D :D
