It's kinda a krazy that alot of people are saying Common. That has really taken me by surprise! But, laugh if you want, DON'T SLEEP ON JOE BUDDEN. This is not a typo, or some sick joke. If u doubt it, pick up that new mixtape Mood Musik. That mixtape is better than most albums of 05!!!

i have a VERY old mixed tape with soul by the pound. to this day I AM STILL PUMPED listening to it.


must add jay-z, de la soul and kane---i cried when he was being honored and almost went into labor watching him perform...lol im not an avid listener to todays hip-hop, but jay-z will always stay in my cd-changer.

I like SOME of the lists, but this begs the question. For those fans of Jay-Z, how did it feel to hear that Camron diss. "Swagger Jacker" featured Camron exposing alot of Jay-Z's rhymes as being Jacked from, B.I.G, Nas, Pac, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Snoop, and more!!! yeah. that's pretty lame considering how he is thought of to be so great and some of the people he stole from are seen as wack. other than that, everybody now is recycling beats or rhymes.

First of all, everyone knows that Jay has said other people's rhymes! Name someone in hip-hop that HASN'T! Furthermore, think of how many rappers that have used Jay's lines. I mean last year some of the biggest songs were using Jay's lines (i.e. "I'm a Hustla" and "Bring 'Em Out"). People really need to sit back and lookat what Jay did for the game. Cam is cool, but he's still an underground person. How many people know who Cam'Ron really is? Dude needs to sit back, because it Jay responds he will crush Cam, Juelz, Jim Jones, Freeky Zeeky, Hell Rell and any other Dipset person that steps his way. Plus, let's not even talk about Cam'Ron and his sampling. Just because he samples whole songs and not lines, I guess that's okay. GTFOOH!:rolleyes:

Now, I say “son” respectfully, because the age difference could theoretically be that of a father/son. Anyway, Will reportedly said, “A grown man don't answer to no child. I'm a grown ass man. I cut records before his momma let somebody cut to have him. My worst movie grossed almost twice as your best movie. Check the records and read a book young man." WOW. Now, Bow Wow made a respectable reply, but its just time to let it go!

BET has been showing the "Beef" documentary series beginning on Wednesday (part I) and last night (part II) and will air Beef III tonight. They've gone way back to the early days of hip-hop beefs (ie Kool Moe Dee vs. Busy Bee, etc). It's a very good piece of hip hop history. :)

KOOL MOE DEE ripped Busy Bee a new one! That wasn't even fair. That was like matching up Allen Iverson with A C Green.

That was a straight slaughter, lol. At least they maintained a friendship and realized that it wasn't anything personal. It's only about the lyrics and music. These other cats done took things to all sorts of unneccesary levels.

I was :eek: @ the EPMD drama though. I didn't know all of that took place.

Yeah, did you see how Queens and the Bronx were just rapping about "The Bridge and The Bridge is Over". Then BET took it to the West Coast. You saw Ice T and NWA (Eazy E) with guns (automatic weapons) with scopes and sh__. That damn gangsta rap! But I still love it. :eek:

Man, I looooooooved how Queens and the Bronx would have all these battle songs. Classic I tell ya. Marley Marl, The Juice Crew, Boogie Down Productions, everybody, LOL!!!

The whole game changed once hip hop made it to Cali, but I do have one NWA album and some Ice Cube ones too.

I didn't know about EPMD either. Quite shocking. But I will be tuning in to see the conclusion tonight. All three BEEF movies are courtesy of Quincy Jones III.

I'm sorry Jay-Z fans, I'm one too, but that Swagger Jacker made Jay-Z look bad in my eyes. Yes, other people take rhymes, but to THAT extent? I still like Jay-Z, but Cam has a point, IMO. Anyway, it doesn't matter. The hip-hop game was always about beefs, it's all good....

Speaking of beefs, I'm sooooo mad I missed these Beef shows. I go to sleep too early, lol. I remember EPMD having a beef but what was it? I know BET will repeat these so I'll have to stay tuned.
