The Bachelor: Paris

What about that weird doctor girl...my eggs are rotting!!!

Sarah from Tennessee was a Phi Mu at UT....her younger sister Linsey was my lil sis at Ole miss.

valkyrie 01-10-2006 01:11 AM

I am ready to move on to the reproductive phase.

A friend of mine went to high school with this dude so this kind of amuses me. He looked like a dork in his high school yearbook, heh.

Best scene EVER: at the end after the credits, when they show Dr. Rotting-Eggs STILL crying to one of the producer guys, and he's like, "yeah, i don't really know him."

Honey, even if a guy dreams about having a wife and kids one day, if you pop up out of nowhere and demand that he immediately fertilize your poor lil' dying eggs, he will run through fire, through radioactive waste, through a blizzard, through hell and back, to get away from you.

ZTAMich 01-10-2006 08:10 AM

This show is going to be my Monday night "I should go to bed but..." guilty pleasure.

ZTABullwinkle 01-10-2006 01:29 PM

My bf and I are already starting to pick our favorites and "wet mops."

I will say that for some reason he came across more personable and easygoing than past Bachelors.

Don't get me started on the "rotting eggs" woman. She should be MORTIFIED by her behavior! (I know I am for her!)

ZTAngel 01-10-2006 03:07 PM

I never watch this show but I was bored last night. Yvonne and Tara annoyed the crap out of me. I felt like Tara was attempting to give these sexy looks but failed miserably at it. Yvonne's voice was grating. "Like, OMG! The bachelor is, like, so hot!"

I like Sarah from Tennessee.

Speechpath 01-10-2006 06:24 PM

Can you imagine having her as your doctor? I hope in retrospect she is mortified!

I was trying to not even go there, but what a surprise some of her patients must have had if they caught last night's show.

I feel sorry for her oncology patients and their families. I can only imagine what they must have been thinking when they saw her last night.

But serious...the oncologist's mole disturbed me. A LOT.

Speechpath 01-10-2006 08:51 PM

Hopefully her medical skills are better than her social ones.

A Google search of Allie Marie Garcia-Serra, MD (say THAT five times fast) only brought up stuff she did for medical journals.

I'm thinking that's all going to change now that the Bachelor: Paris aired.

BGKdLady 01-11-2006 08:34 AM

They interviewed her on our local radio yesterday and she actually sounded pretty sane!! LOL She was laughing at herself and how bad she looked. She said they had been drinking all day and night, had no food, and were exhausted. But you could also tell she had a very strong personality and would say what she thought!

valkyrie 01-11-2006 12:41 PM

On that insane "Fans of Reality TV" site, people were saying that the producers tell the women not to eat because they'll have a huge meal later, but they never get the meal -- just tons of alcohol. Allegedly the producers manipulate the contestants hard core.

Several of the contestants are on myspace, which is teh funny.

Rudey 01-11-2006 01:24 PM

Are any of the women breeders?

I don't doubt that. One of The Apprentice candidates was saying that the food in their apartment was located on the top shelves. It was really hard to get to it. Pair that with being stressed and sleep-deprived and you get the drama the producers are looking for.

i'm with ya on that one! :D

Xylochick216 01-12-2006 10:44 AM

I always say I won't watch the Bachelor, but I always do.

Egg girl was crazy. I felt sorry for the production guy she was crying to at the end.

I was ashamed to be from the same state as the Virginia girl. I'm glad I don't know people like that!

I liked Sarah from Tennessee, the Canadian girl (also Sarah?) he gave the first rose to, and Susan. Yvonne seems sort of trashy and a little too forward.

ASUADPi 01-16-2006 11:11 AM

Now I didn't watch it (forgot it was on) but...

did some girl actually give the bachelor an issue about "not reproducing"?

HOLY CRAP that is NOT something you discuss when you have spoken to the guy for like two seconds!!!! (at least I don't think you should).

I saw a clip on E and I'm not sure what the deal was but I was like "OMG she's not saying this".

Please tell me he didn't give her a rose?

SapphireSphinx9 01-16-2006 04:53 PM

oh no, no, no! she definitely did not get a rose! haha

they're having a two hour special tonight, with what i believe is more clips of the egg girl from last week.

Xylochick216 01-17-2006 10:43 AM

Was there a 2-hour special last night? My TiVo only got the show from 10-11.

I'm glad Yvonne is gone, but I was sad to see Cole go. She seemed sweet. I'm not a fan of Tara, and she and the other girl with the rose definitely interrupted Susan's cute birthday celebration. I'm glad both Sarahs are staying. I like them and Susan the best so far.

BGKdLady 01-17-2006 11:23 AM

The first hour was a repeat of last week. You didn't miss anything!! :D

OleMissGlitter 01-17-2006 12:18 PM

At first I was a fan of Tara but now I'm not sure. After last night she sort of upset me when she busted in on that girl's birthday.

I like Sarah from TN and Sarah from Canada.

SapphireSphinx9 01-17-2006 12:22 PM

i think tara is pretty annoying. and what's up with that girl with the orange peel?? lol, glad she's gone.

does anyone else think that sarah from canada won't last??? i think it's too good, too fast.

TNPhiMu 01-18-2006 06:46 PM

I LOOOOOOOOVE Sarah from Tennessee! I guess it's the whole hometome favorite thing, especially she's orignially from Jackson, TN where I am now. I've heard some gossip around here about her on the show... Of course I'm probably just starting rumors, but oh well!
***POSSIBLE SPOILER*** (but I can't completely confirm it)

Yeah. Her sister was my lil sis at Ole miss. They said Sarah wouldn't say. But they said they think she did well, but they don't think she won. She just said she was "Happy with the results."

valkyrie 01-24-2006 01:02 PM

Oh you guys. As much as it pains me to admit I watch this crap, I have to say -- Moana kicks ass. Seriously. I love her. I like Sarah Canada too. They're the only ones who aren't fake and cheesy.

Susan, although beautiful, makes me want to cry every time she talks -- I've never heard such fake stupid crap. I'm a SMITTEN KITTEN? Come on, now.

I'm with you on that one. When she said that last night, I cringed.

I like both Sarahs and Jehan seems okay. Wish Tara and Moana would get the boot, though. I just don't care for their styles so far.

hottytoddy 01-31-2006 12:05 AM

OK so my lil sis is going to be on there next week. She's Sarah's sister, Linsey. I saw her when they were showing the previews for next week. Hahahah sooo funny!

Cool - I'll look for her next week. :)

jillybean 02-06-2006 10:37 PM

So i really like Sara from tenessee - but it doesn't seem like her and Travis have much chemistry. it seems to me like he was keeping her around (in the past) because he missed home and wanted a trip back to TN. who knows though, she seems very sweet and very real

hottytoddy 02-06-2006 11:06 PM

Did everyone see my beautiful lil sis???

Beanblossom1 02-07-2006 01:08 AM

Hottytoddy - Your lil sis did a great job and represented herself (and her sister) well. I'm rooting for Sara - have to root for the hometown favorite. If I had just stayed in Nashville instead of taking the transfer, I'm sure I would have met The Bachelor. :D

BobbyTheDon 02-07-2006 05:20 AM

Alright Ginger. I watched it just for you and now I feel as if I should go watch Brokeback Mountain with a guy or something. But anyways two things.

1- Hook me up with your little sis
2- Don't let Kddanni know that I want you to hook me up with your little sis.

Alright. That being said, please don't tell your little sis that I am rooting against her sis. It is pretty damn obvious who ABC wants to win. It's pretty obvious who he is going to pick. You all have to admit, the whole crap with the children comign to the park, her teaching them that booty dance, him asking them if they missssss their teeeeaccccher :) crap was just too gay.

So at the end of the night, I was going for the Canadian girl because she showed the most cleavage throughout the night. Oh well. he dumped her, so now I have a chance with her. (Don't worry Canadian sweetie, I will rock your world)

Now I must cheer for Miwanna, even though ABC set her up with that stupid ass fake cry. She will definately get cut next. Oh well. She is from South OC, and I'll have to cheer for the hometown girl.

PS. I know her name is not spelled Miwanna

AGDee 02-07-2006 07:41 AM

That Moana tape would've scared me. I think more like the one who said the thing about two full glasses of water. That if someone is less than full, then they drain the glass of the other one and that's what I see Moana doing.

I think he picks Sarah from TN. I think Susan has issues and she almost said to her dad that she is hoping to move to LA and be discovered. Sarah from TN is the ONLY one he has talked to about where he wants to live, etc. There were no discussions about the future with the others. I don't think Susan is going to be happy in the Rocky Mountains.. she wants LA. Moana would just suck the life out of him since she isn't complete without him. Sarah from Canada was simply too young for him. She still had that net canopy on her bed that my 12 year old has! (We call it mosquito netting).

So yeah, Sarah from TN is the only one who didn't have any drama. He obviously isn't going to move to the Rockies tomorrow, it's just a future goal of his. Maybe they'll compromise with the Appalachians. I think they are down playing the chemistry part of it with them so we don't know for sure that it's her who gets picked. He did say after the home visit that the romance part of their relationship really took off during the home visit. Yep, if he's smart, he'll go with Sarah...

Then again, how many of them have been smart?

None of them!
I think the only couple from all the Bachelors/Bacelorettes that is still together is Trista and Ryan. Yet, I still watch...

We were watching last night and kept saying the same thing., about the chemistry part at least. They seem like they are both good, down to earth individuals who like a lot of the same things, but they seem more like friends. He hadn't even kissed her until the home date, then it just seemed forced.

Maybe the physical aspect shows up later. I like her the most though out of those left.

Susan just seems fake.

Moana, I liked her until last night. She seemed just guarded which I can understand in a house like that. You don't want to share all your feelings, because they are competing in a sense for the same guy. But last night her family just seemed crazy and I can see why she was acting the way she is now based on the way they acted.

valkyrie 02-07-2006 01:22 PM

Moana's family was kind of nutty (the whole ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN thing was weird), but at least they were kind of REAL. Everybody else is all OMG he's so awesome OMG he's really a great guy OMG you're so awesome I want you to be happy with OMG such a great guy! At least they asked him somewhat meaningful questions -- they were rough, but I don't blame them, considering what a weird situation this is. Susan's family was cool as hell, too. Even they think she's full of crap, which she obviously is. If I were a dude who thought women might grow up to look like their moms, I would've kept Sara B, but how is someone so cute so freakishly insecure that she has to spend her hometown date trash talking one of the other women?

Anyway, I still like Moana and think Susan is completely fake and not as good looking as she thinks she is. Saratenn has the personality of tofu and the thing with the kids was just LAME -- OMG look at me I am a BREEDER!
