Other ZTA chapters.....
Hey everyone! I am a Zeta at Mississippi State University (Gamma Zeta chapter) in Starkville, MS. We have an AWESOME chapter and I would love to hear about others.

Hey Lynsee,
I used to be the assistant Greek advisor there and am thrilled to hear that the chapter at State is thriving! |
Hey MSU Zetas,
I am a ZTA from GZ, and I now work for ZTA. I am SO thrilled that my sisters at MSU are doing good. I have heard only wonderful things lately, and I know 2001 will be FABULOUS. As for other chapters...the Zetas at Alabama are almost an identical chapter of GZ. Ya'll should get together sometime. ZTA is always strong in the South-east, but we are the 3rd largest Sorority nationally. All ZTA's share a special bond. |
Hey! I'm a Zeta at the University of Central Florida (Eta Kappa chapter). Everything is going great here! ZLAM

I am glad to hear so many Zeta chapters are doing so well. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif I love being a Zeta, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Well, I hope to keep hearing from Zetas about their chapters. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Hey I am a ZTA at Cal State Chico. We just reorganized this past fall and everything is looking great. Looking forward to Spring rush. If anyone has some great suggestions I would be more than greatful to recieve them.
Thanks, Not2Fast |
Hey I am a Zeta from the Delta Beta Chapter at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fl!! Joining ZTA is one of the best decisions I've ever made!! Our chapter is doing awesome, we were voted best sorority on campus last year and we also have the highest GPA on our campus. Go Spring 2000!!

Hey ladies,
i am in Psi chapter, in washington state, and we are doing really well. We have one of the largest greek systems on the east coast (as well as the largest Zeta house square foot wise in NHC!). We are awesome! We're having a great time now that spring quarter has started...more fun to come! |
Hey Zetas! I am a princess at Michigan State University. We are awesome here, next year we will most likely be the LARGEST sorority house on campus! I love it! Our house is beautiful and the girls are the best! I think that only great things are in store for the Beta Phi chapter!
P.S. I like your name TiggerGurl! (hehe) |

Hey there! I'm at the Gamma Xi Chapter at IUPin Pennsylvania! I'm happy to report our chapter is doing well!
I'm also very proud to report that in a school-wide competition, 4 of our beautiful ZTA sisters were in the running for the annual Miss IUP Contest-- and one of those awesome Zeta's won the title as well as many of the prizes! One of the others also got the award for most spirit! We're all very proud of them all! |
I graduated from Delta State University in Mississippi in '93. When I left, the ZTA chapter (which had been founded in '85) was growing. However, I found out yesterday that the chapter closed in the late 90's. Is there anyone here who was a member of that chapter, or who can shed some light on what happened?
|
One of my active alumnae members is from the Delta State chapter, but she never talks about why they closed. It's sad, because the Ole Miss chapter closed last year, so there's only one chapter left in Mississippi. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif

Unfortunately, I always hear of a ZTA chapter that had been closed down. A girl in my chapter was talking about how Kappa has never lost a chapter. Is this true? Especially after what happened in the 60's when a lot of chapters lost their charters. I figured you may be able to answer this, Barb. Are there any sororities out there that have never lost a chapter?
|
Are you talking about Kappa Kappa Gamma? I know for a FACT the KKG chapter at Univerisyt of Maryland shut down in the early 1990's because of some major probles. A real shame because they were really strong and a great house

yeah, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Apparently the girl in my sorority didn't know what she was talking about. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

There isn't a single NPC group that I know of that hasn't lost a chapter. There are even a few that no longer have their Alpha chapter - for example, Colby College tossed all the Greeks off campus years ago, costing Sigma Kappa their founding chapter!

The chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Mississippi State University folded a few years back. They are having a rough time at another university I know of. We all have our weaker chapters--
|
I'm a ZTA at the Eta Lambda chapter at the College of Charleston. Our chapter is awesome! In the past school year, we raised over $10,000 for Susan G. Komen! Two of our sisters got 2nd and 3rd places in Sigma Nu's Miss College of Charleston Pageant. We had a great year and can't wait til rush so we can recruit more awesome Zetas!

Today was such a great day bc I found a 5 pointed crown stamp at the craft store!! Anways...I'm at the Kappa Iota Chapter @ Moravian College in Bethlehem PA. If you've never heard of the school don't worry you're not the only one. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif We're a small chapter on a small campus, but doing pretty well. We won Gold Star, this interesting program put on by Greek Life where you have to participate in a number of different activities within your chapter and on campus. We were the first sorority on campus to get Gold * since it started 2 years ago (I think). A lot of seniors graduated this year but those of us here still are a berry great bunch http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
ZTAngel, I live close to UCF...and someone from my chapter is @ grad school there too! Sunshines, Michelle |
ZTAMich-
I saw your profile and read that you're from Altamonte Springs. That's the next town over. Whenever you're home, you should come and see the UCF ZTA house. It looks great bc we just got an addition onto it over the summer. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
