Phi Sigma Mu

There's been discussion of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim GLOs, but nothing dedicated to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Therefore I'm starting a new GLO called Phi Sigma Mu. All are welcome to come forward to be touched by His noodly appendage.
Another thread discussed tattoos, and you may be wondering whether those would be a problem. The answer is no. "Tattoo" may have 3 Ts, but "The Flying Spaghetti Monster" has 4. Phi Sigma Mu encourages all members to seek noodly tattoos.

Corsulian 12-13-2005 05:35 PM

Will it be possible to join this GLO in addition to a national social fraternity? If so, then consider GMU a colony.

Sistermadly 12-13-2005 05:57 PM

Well as you can see by my location, I've already been touched by His Noodly Appendage, and have been working hard at converting others to Pastafarianism.

Yes, we welcome members of all GLOs. The Flying Spaghetti Monster will be pleased to extend his noodly presence to GMU.

Kansas degrades itself by refusing to acknowledge Him.

Also, the state of Kansas tolerates Fred Phelps. I can't say that I approve.

Pastafarians are encouraged to eat all types of pasta, even fettucine. But it especially pleases the noodly master when people eat spaghetti.

WCUgirl 12-13-2005 06:30 PM

pastafarian, should I take the time to make meatballs, or should I go vegetarian and simply throw in some kalamata olives?

Although Phi Sigma Mu will be extremely inclusive, we do not plan to extend a bid to Fred Phelps.

If you're in the mood for marinara sauce, I think that meatballs would be the way to go. Otherwise, kalamata olives might go well with olive oil, garlic, and parmesan cheese.

I was touched by His Noodly Appendage tonight while I ate my mac and cheese. It was very moving.

Yes. Our noodly deity is universal. In fact, we hope to expand Phi Sigma Mu all over the world though we haven't yet figured out the logistics for Antarctica.

In the true spirit of spaghetti, we prefer that legacy connections be as convoluted as possible. We also also give extra points to recommendations written by people who have never met you. Almost anyone can write a glowing recommendation for someone they know well, but it takes special creativity to do this for a complete stranger.

pastafarian 12-14-2005 12:40 PM

So much enthusiasm! His noodly holiness will be well-pleased. In "Chit Chat," I have started a new thread for writing FSM recommendations.

What is a lawd?

Is that like, 'to laud'? As in, to heap compliments in someone's general direction? lard? Nothing I said related to fat, unless you're thinking about the lard that the people who find this crap funny MUST have in between their ears.

Oh, did you mean Lord? You do know it's OK to say Lord right? You're not taking the word, Lord, in vain by saying it correctly. But thanks sweetie, if I want religious guidance, I'll head to Mass. You're not my mother, spiritual advisor, spouse, or relation, so pardon me if I really don't give two shits about what irks ya.

Does mortuary school count? Or, how 'bout a home correspondence course? Or maybe, can someone buy a degree from the internet and use that as proof of 'graduation'? I mean, how closely does Phi Sigma Mu look at grades?:p

Excellent question. We prefer that applicants have GPAs of 1.1 because it's easy to spell that with dry pieces of spaghetti. As far as the mortuary school, His holy noodliness uses dishwashers instead of morticians. But He is willing to retrain people.

For the record, I know not all NPC sororities that do AI require that you graduate from college.

Tom Earp 12-15-2005 05:27 PM

Really, who?

Would be interested.
