YAY! I loved the first season and thought Kara Saun should have won.

I can't wait.....

Have they run the special that involves last season's winner Jay?

I loved Kara Saun designs were great....but I really did like Jay's designs and ideas better

Me too! I haven't seen the show featuring Jay (who was a HOOT!!!)! I loved his collection for Fashion Week.

I, too, think that Kara Saun should have won but then it was probably best so she wouldn't be restricted by Banana Republic. That girl could design her butt off!

I can't wait to see this show!!! I also thought that Kara Saun should have won. She was really good.

I taped it last night and saw who was cut from the first two episodes. It seems like it's really going to get nasty this year! Anyone have a comment on the black girl and the guy that went crying off the stage?

Yes ma'am...he ran off the stage...dramatically! The black chick made an outfit out of a sweater that had the model's butt cheeks showing. She is going to be a hot mess w/ the other contestants on the show!

I didn't really get into this show last year b/c I didn't really find out what it was until late in the season. However, I watched the premier last night and I am hooked.

I was really disappointed w/the Black girl. I expected the design itself to be a little more creative, and with her level of confidence, I wasn't expecting an error like making the dress far too short.

I love the two Asian girls. I think that they both have very good designs and nice personalities to match.

As for our crying friend, that was ridiculous. I have no idea what he was talking about when he started his speech and I agree w/the judges that the design should be able to speak for itself. Then when he did the "run off the stage, crying, w/both arms dangling at your sides" move I was just speechless. I hope that he pulls it together in the future.

Overall it looks like it's going to be an explosive season, full of all the drama, conflict, and hurt feelings that makes for good reality tv. My only critique is that the judges don't really comment on why the bottom group of contestants are in or out. I think they should get a little feedback on what to improve on in the future.

Are they down to 10 people then? I know they started out with 12 in the beginning of season 1 (I watched the ENTIRE marathon one day during spring break when I was sick). I remember liking Austin and then he disappointed me in the end. Wendy 'the long-shot' was so annoying. If you gotta make t-shirts and hats with your own special nickname on it, you don't really think you're a long shot at all.

Man I love this show! I didn't get into it until they did a marathon right before the season finale, and I kicked myself for not watching the whole season!

I only saw the first episode, so I missed the issues with the Black girl. I did like Santino (or whatever his name was), his first dress was hot! I also like Diane, the girl who likes to use technology in her designs...That's different.

Santino- poor sport much? You could have at least pretended to be happy for Chole. If not, then could you have at least waited till she was out of earshot before you said what you said


our crying friend- You must have watched one to many black and white movies. You looked like a teen age girl that has the run from the room to fling herself on the bed and sob her eyes out because her parents wouldn't extend her curfew for prom


the black girl-the dress was a hot mess,but your attitude so far is an even hotter mess

Daniel Frano- I'm glad you've been given a second chance. Seems like you are taking this opportunity more seriously this time. So far I'm loving everything you've made

Oh Honey! This child is a MESS! I loved his design though and it's too bad he ran out of time.


I actually liked her dress even though it was too short but I do agree she has a funky attitude

I'm glad he's back too. I LOVED his designs! Sort of remind me of Narciso Rodriguez.

I liked the lil "girly man"'s outfit too but the crying was a bit much.

Okay I wasn't feeling the magnet dress but this girl is growing on me.

I really, really, REALLY want Santino to go home...He's not that great of a designer, and he thinks he's the world's greatest thing...:rolleyes:

I was surprised to learn that Zulema is a former model and graduate of Parsons...She doesn't look like a model.

I want Chloe or Nick to win...

What does a model look like?

Santino just thinks that he is the bomb, but he isn't. He needs to go and sit down somewhere. And what was up with "Auf Wiedersehen"? Did he think that would earn him bonus points or something? He loves to argue with the judges. I understand defending your work when you deem it necessary, but he needs to learn how to accept criticism and move on.

Zulema is crazy.

Poor little Marla.... She is so confused. She won't make it for too many more episodes.

i caught a marathon of this show and became hooked!

i liked daniel franco and was sad to see him leave. he just seemed like a really nice guy.

why is emmit or marlo still there?? both of their barbie doll outfits were horrible! but, i really liked eric's.

santino has such a nasty attitdue! pure stank!! and were my eyes deceiving me or did he have on heels last night?

I was going back and forth last night watching the Rose Bowl and watching Project Runway.

Zulema: Her attitude has been stank-a-dank from day one. I didn't know she used to be a model either...maybe that's what she needs to do instead of trying to be a designer.

Santino: Okay, y'all...I actually like him. Yeah he's a cocky muther-era but I like his designs and think that he has what it takes at least to get to Fashion Week. He's original and sorta innovative.

But I am really pulling for Nick. I like him a lot.

Okay but why is that other woman there after she copied Nicky Hilton's dress?! It would have been a double Auf Wiedersehen last night! Now, that's a lawsuit!

I want to know the answer to that too! She KNEW she copied the Chloe dress - their mentor ( can't think of this name) even told her it looked like the Chloe dress from the photo and what she was making didn't look like her original design. She still talking about, it's my design. Um, no, it's not! Plus she can't do the basic stuff. I thought for sure she was going home, I mean Guadalupe's dress was hella ugly but still it was ORIGINAL. And, the judges let her stay even AFTER finding out she'd seen a picture of the dress that Nicky Hilton was wearing.

She definitely won't last much longer. She has no originality at all.

Soror, It was something Michael Kors said to the effect of "If Nikki wore Marla's on the red carpet, people would say at worst 'Oh that looks like a Chloe knock-off' but if Nikki wore Lupe's dress she [Nikki] would be put on the Worsed Dressed List."

Agreed. I'll give her maybe 1.

Santino's attitude stinks I cannot believe that he won the Hilton challenge. His designs are not that great. I am not sure if I feel this way because I can't see pass his attitude or are the just mediocre.

Zulema- She thought her "Hilton" dress was so great. It wasn't. I am not to fond of her either.

Danny Franco- Hated to see him go :(

Marla and Emmitt- They need to just put them both non the same team next week and send 'em both home. However, maybe they should keep Marla just for laughs. She gets so frazzled that it is hilarious.

She even tried to copy the hairstyle on Diane's model. Ugh!

The walk-off killed me. I think Nick's struck could put some "supermodel's" walk to shame. LOL I would LOVE for him to win!

Frat, I agree with you that Daniel F. should have been kept. He really improved from last year and I really liked some of his designs.

I cannot believe that Santino said "Many people may not know Michael Kors but they know Banana Republic." I know that to be true but you just don't say that to a judge. Geez!

I think Nick and Chloe are going to be in the final 3.

I'mma need for you to STFU for like 2 seconds. Your head right now is bigger then the state of Texas. Your designs for the past couple of challenges were not all that great. Do me a favor: Get a ladder and get over yourself.

Last nights episode was kind of boring. I'm glad Nick and Danny V won. Was sad to see Diana go. Almost fell asleep during Zulma and Kara's parts.

I missed the last episode! So the socialite was Nikki Hilton? I was wondering who on earth it could be.

As far as how I feel about the contestants?

I'm really sad that Daniel had to go, but I'm proud of the way he went out. He acknowledged his strengths and weaknesses as well as those of his team, and was honest about it. Not like Santino and Nick who ratted Emmett out just because those two were tighter with each other than with him.

Speaking of Nick, I really need him to stop participating in Santino's fan club - can't you see that man has a 4,000-member fan club all in his head? He doesn't need any of us in the real world to carry a membership card. I mean, come ON dude - Santino was nowhere near as happy for you when you won the Barbie challenge. Stay friends, just.. let him be.

You can tell I think that Santino is the devil. I want him OUT. His lingerie was disgusting and wouldn't sell at Wal-Mart.. whose idea was it to sew "auf weidersehn" on the booty of some panties? If, in fact, you think lingerie is "supposed to come off", why would you put words, in lace, on the booty? What a kiss-up.

If Andre could put as much energy into his designs as he did his "performance", he'd last until Fashion Week. I liked the idea of the denim dress, but it looked like trash on the runway. Focus, man! By the way, his model for that was so darn cute - I love her!

Y'all are getting on Zulema, but I think she's nifty. I mean, anyone who becomes a part of an industry where you serve "the people" has to listen to their peers in order to grow. You can't fight everything just because they don't agree with you. She's like 15% too aggressive for this competition.

Marla, Lupe, Diana, Emmett? Are they really still there?

Ok, let me stop. I love this show and I never have anyone to share my love with. :D

i wonder if the contestants knew the prizes before they entered because if Banana Republic is the polar opposite of Zuleyma's designs, why is she in the contest?

i really liked emmit's and chloe's window! i thought it was very chic.

I was CTFU when the judge told Emmett that his costume showed too much "tootie." That was the funniest thing all night!!
