I just got that letter, too. I was going to answer, "bummer." but thought that it would only increase the spam.

Hmm.... Sounds like a great way for this "barrister" to get all of the information he would need to steal your identity. What a coincidence. :rolleyes:

I hate this crap. I always have to warn my parents about it, because it's just the kind of thing they fall for.

This is a con game commonly called the "Nigerian Scam", as it began in the African country of Niger.

I've received emails as well, although not through GC.

I don't repond to them, I just hit delete.

Beforre this Nigerian scam got onto the internet, it was common to receive letters from Nigeria with similar offers.

I read one story that even th stamps on the lettrs were counterfeits.

A secretary at a prominent Atlanta law firm fell for the letter a couple years ago, and the firm lost over $100,000.

If only one person is tricked, the scam pays off.

are people really so lazy that instead of gettin a job they will take the time to search out people to try and get this scam to work...the world is in a downward spiral...and I just hope Im not here when it hits rock bottom

Maybe it would be a bit more believable if they would fix their broke-ass engrish.

Find one of them sally struthers kids (they always seem to be in school on the infomertials) who has passed the kenyan equivelant of fouth grade and and have them write the letter for them.

I'm LOL because it says

"Please send:"

And #7 says "Sex"

As in "Please send sex" - I think you should reply & tell them that you need your money up front for those services :p
