Okay, ya'll helped my sister agdbirmingham and her husband win a vacation, so I'm asking the wonderful GC community to hopefully come through once again!

My dear friend Stephanie is a top 10 finalist in a contest sponsored by Marie Claire magazine. The winner is flown to New York, learn choreography, and will have the opportunity to dance in Sweet Charity, the Musical...starring Christina Applegate.

Her mom said that all our local news stations featured her tonight, and I just did a big MySpace bulletin, LJ, and GC blitz, so hopefully the %s will change soon!

I'm being evil and saying some of those other dancers were horrible!! I think I could have gotten out one of the tapes of me dancing in some charity pagents from college and done better.

As a dancer I had to watch all the tapes and Stephanie got my honest, professional opinion vote.

That Diana person is atrocious!!! She looks like she's doing a routine for one of those aerobics competitions!!! She can do a bunch of tricks, but she has no style or quality technique.

Obviously some of the entries were b/c of the ha ha factor (PLEASE go back and watch Gayle!!!), but I think most were supposed to be pretty serious and they were really bad. Christina was the only person besides Stephanie who was good and had some good Fosse-esque qaulities.

Tell Stephanie I said "merde"!

ETA: I said Caitlin was good before - I meant Christina!!! Caitlin=bad!!!

I think Gayla is the William Hung of this contest, lol.

WHY IN THE HELL IS STEPHANIE NOT WINNING? She is a far better dancer than anyone else. I'd say she, Trenton, and Christina are the best three in terms of skill, but they're not as entertaining as she is. Good luck to her!

I just heard on the radio that Diana is a "Golden Girl" (featured twirler for the UIowa marching band) which would explain the aerobics instructor on crack routine and gaudy spangly black and gold outfit.

Oh, she screamed "baton twirler". She even did a few illusions. Illusions!! Who the fack does illusions when auditioning for a jazzy broadway show??
