Please Pray for My Housemate
 

On Sunday night, my housemate Caitlin got very sick and thought she had a fever. When she started to get worse, some of our housemates called an ambulance. It turned out that she has bacterial meningitis. She is currently in the ICU in critical condition. She had internal bleeding and kidney failure and was on dialysis today. I'm asking for everyone to please keep Caitlin in their thoughts and prayers.

My entire house had to take Cipro for one day as a precaution.

I'm glad you got treated. I will keep your housemate in my prayers. I had bacterial meningitis when I was 13 and was VERY lucky that they caught it very quickly and I had no residual effects from it. If you start to get a bad headache, get checked out right away, even though you had the Cipro.

An update: Caitlin passed away yesterday (Wednesday) at 7:40pm. She flatlined for like 10 seconds and then came out of it. About 10 minutes later she went into cardiac arrest. After the doctors brought her out of it, she flat lined again. By the time we got to the hospital, when the elevator doors opened, her whole family was out in the hall hysterically crying. The priest just looked at us and said "stand back girls, she has died." Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and support.

Sorry for your lost. She's in a better place.:(

That is so sad, especially since she had done the right thing to prevent it. :(

Oh man. I saw this on the news last night. I am sooooooooooo sorry.

I'm so sorry, that is so terrible :( Terrible for her, and terrible for her family and friends to have to witness such an untimely death.
