What would you buy for yourself?

Let's say you're pissed at your significant other because they acted like a jackass. So, you decide you deserve something nice, and that means you're going to go out and spend a couple hundred dollars on something to cheer yourself up. :)

What would you buy for yourself?

BobbyTheDon 11-15-2005 05:17 PM

lauralaylin 11-15-2005 05:26 PM

I'd buy clothes, or a really nice purse.

Lindz928 11-15-2005 05:32 PM

I would buy what I think my significant other should buy me to say he's sorry.... Jewelry. :D

wrigley 11-15-2005 05:34 PM

Few pieces of Vera Bradley.

Killer shoes

Spa day.

A dinner with just the girls and no significant others at your favorite restaurant.

Spa Day. Definitely, a full spa day. If not a spa weekend.

I like the way you think - but I think some bling is necessary, too.

GeekyPenguin 11-15-2005 10:28 PM

A BRICK TO BASH HIS HEAD IN.

I have absolutely ZERO extra money right now. If I had money, I would buy a new pair of shoes, some black pants, maybe some mascara or perfume, some Bath and Body Works fun smelly stuff, and probably some scandalous new underwear he'll never see.

Meanwhile, bash bash.

ADqtPiMel 11-15-2005 10:40 PM

I would buy pants. I am about thiscloseto running around naked because none of my pants fit.

JennRN 11-15-2005 11:25 PM

Clothes, shoes ( definately), and a nice, shiny new Coach bag. Then I'd wear them lots, and fish for compliments on my new prizes.

JenMarie 11-16-2005 12:38 AM

The dress I saw at White House Black Market.

A day spa trip.

Maybe an IPod.

PhoenixAzul 11-16-2005 02:15 AM

Stuff for my bicycle...
bike trainer
race wheels
new shoes/cleats maybe

alphaxikt 11-16-2005 10:35 AM

Spa Day, expensive shoes, and something Coach or Kate Spade...

AlphaFrog 11-16-2005 10:51 AM

So, what did it end up being?

Are you heading to Ballentyne for some Carmen Carmen or taking a trip across the street to Tiffany & Co??

WCUgirl 12-16-2005 04:56 PM

Ooops! I forgot to update w/ my goodies. :(

I got this:
http://www.verabradley.com/Images/products/11612_me.jpg

and some clothes from the Gap and BR. Nothing too exciting, really, but I was able to justify spending all that $$$ on myself so close to Christmas b/c of the circumstances. :)

pinkiebell1001 12-16-2005 05:01 PM

I would buy the Dior bag im in LOVE with! Super sexy but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too expensive to buy "just because".

I can't believe I missed this thread last month...

I'd either treat myself to a spa day, or drop a few hundred $$$ at Chico's.

Buttonz 12-16-2005 05:18 PM

Spa Day and probably some new clothes :)

AlphaFrog 05-19-2006 11:06 AM

Ok, I'm dredging this thread back up because the wonderful husband went out and spent $80 on a worthless piece of junk that I told him not to buy.

So, I think when I'm in Hilton Head this weekend I'm justified in spending at least $80 on something I want. I haven't been to HH since I was about 12, so I don't remember what is there. I'm not really big on jewelry, especially when I buy it for myself, so I'd rather not do that. Any other suggestions of how to blow $80 at HH?? (I'm going with my mom's side of the family, so I'm not paying for hotel or anything like that. Husband is staying at home because he knows my mother's family is crazy and he doesn't feel like dealing).

christiangirl 05-19-2006 12:46 PM

My first instinct is diamonds, but I like the spa idea......work out all my stress this man is giving me......I like that......hmmmmm.......

*everything goes hazy as I drift into a fantasy*

Rudey 05-19-2006 12:56 PM

A new hairnet, a new flannel shirt that only buttons at the top, and a shank made in prison by the finest artisan shank maker out there.

I would take myself on a shopping spree to Anthropologie.

Honeykiss1974 05-19-2006 05:48 PM

I would buy myself this dress. Not a huge splurge, but its just so darn cute! :D

valkyrie 05-19-2006 06:35 PM

I don't know -- I can't do much with $80. Maybe get a massage and some tequila.

KillarneyRose 05-19-2006 07:07 PM

A car. But it ended up being a possessed, horrible car so I learned my lesson and will stick to purses in the future.

James 05-20-2006 06:42 AM

Is that you Honeykiss? You are easy on the eyes :)

AlphaFrog 05-22-2006 08:55 AM

I ended up not spending anywhere near $80, but I did spend more than I normally would for a pair of sandals. They are sort of like these:
http://i13.ebayimg.com/02/i/07/05/cd/8f_1.JPG

Same brand, but I couldn't find a pic of the exact ones. Mine don't have any rhinestones on the straps, and the center crystal is pear shaped.

33girl 05-22-2006 09:18 AM

CDs of the bands he absolutely hates.
