Note that Hoosier has informed us: State your opinion on why or why not the Yahoo group should be used for this. As you can see a few others already have.

I thought Kitso was the one who owned and maintained the GC Yahoo Album?

There are many free sites out there that can host your hazing shit in an album. Photobucket, PictureTrail, Fotki, or HEY! Why don't you start your own stupid Yahoo album? The GreekChat album stays the way it is. No ifs ands or buts.

hoosier's a fucking douchebag. For someone who's never posted his picture in the album, I find it ironic that he's going around dictating what goes where. :rolleyes:

ETA: I sent him a link to the thread. I'm honestly not too worried about it at this point. I don't expect someone to look at my 3 pics on there and think I'm involved with all the hazing stuff.

But at the same time, yeah it would be only too easy to just make a new one.

That's not the point though.

People post their pictures on that site because they feel secure in knowing that it's a GC-only site. When Kitso was moderating it, he made sure that whoever registered for the group was a GCer.

I co-mod the LiveJournal GC community and whenever someone wants to join, I make sure that they're a GCer because whatever's posted in that community is posted in confidence.

The Shippensburg hazing pictures simply DO NOT BELONG THERE. Dale Terry's a wannabe Hank Nuwer. It's obvious that he's on a crusade so he should just start something on his own...something NOT associated with GreekChat.

Here's the deal. Its come to my attention that recently someone has taken it upon themselves to use our GC photo album site as a personal picture dump for themselves. Although I'm not an active poster on GC anymore, I don't have a problem keeping this site and the other one under my email address. However, pictures on this site are limited to pictures of GCers ONLY. Whether they be personal pictures or pictures taken at get-togethers. I will not allow pictures to be put on this site that will reflect poorly on Greeks, GC members, or lastly myself. I have made a note of the Yahoo ID used to post the offending pictures. If the pictures I deleted or any other unappropriate pictures are posted, they will be deleted and the posting ID will be banned.

The only mention of the picture group recently has been by "James" and
when I asked him (via email) he said just join the group and do it. I thought he was the operator of the group.

Sorry if I offended anyone - I thought in error that I had checked with the owner, and I thought that he had approved it. I thought some might want to see the garbage that some sports teams are doing to the rookies. I was apparently wrong, and I'm sorry.

Hoosier didn't do anything wrong. He sent me a Pm asking if he could archive some of his sports hazing pics in the photo album and that he was having some problems posting the pics with his macintosh.

I told him to join the group like the other Greekchatters.

So if anyone is to blame its really me because I didn't anticipate exactly what those pics would look like, even though I should have.

When I saw the pics last night I admit to feeling uncomfortable and was going to recomended to Hoosier that he create a new yahoo group for his pictures.

However, Kitso or the other moderator(s) have already gotten rid that album.

So try not to be too hard on Hoosier for doing what he thought was perfectly fine.
