Alumni are allowed and encouraged to come. Last year my chapter sent 4 Actives and an Alumna to the Convention in Kansas City. It was helpful for our Alumae Association to have her there and also our alumna brought a lot of really great input to the breakout sessions and chapter planning session. I hope to see you there. Registration material should be available after the 1st of the year.

As few or as many people can come to the convention as your chapter wants. It would probably be helpul to have 2 or more people come how ever. Kent isn't too far away, I'm sure you could round up a few people to spend the weekend in Cleveland. :)

:) I sent away for my info packet this weekend so I can tell the collegiate sisters in my GLO about the conference!! This conference could really inspire both the collegiate and alumnae sisters in my GLO--I'm so excited I might run out and make a t-shirt about it!;)

Ladies,

The final registration date for the Convention is June 1st. So far we have groups coming from NY, NC, CA, OH, WI & FL. Registration fees are only $35 - which includes a trip to the Rock Hall or an Indians game. For more information email LocalSororityConvention@gmail.com !

Just wanted to say that the convention was great, guys! Our girls learned so much and can bring so many things back to the table now when our exec board meets later this summer. Thanks again!

Remember, if not all, many started as locals.

TKN was started by a group of Locals with an idea and then merged with LXA in 1939.

Still the largest Merger in Greekdom.

Having started a Local and affiliation with LXA, I always wondered if I had tried to expand Beta Chi?

Not yet hopefully by the begining of October there was an email sent out to people who attend last years convention and it said there where 3 houses intrested but they needed to know if they were still intrested by sept 15th i think or arouind that time

Online registration is now available! This year the conference will be held at SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York June 15-17, 2007. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

This year we are requiring all chapters stay on campus in out newly renovated dorms (Macdonough). You will need to bring money for dinner on Friday night, because dinner will be on your own. I will give you a list of restaurants around the area.

sounds fine to me, but i dont want to step on anyones toes. im not sure if there is someone who is already planning. i know last years was in new york or something like that, did anyone go last year? we couldnt make it, we had retreat the same weekend

well i wouldnt mind it being here in Philly.... our convention center is nice:D i guess step one would be to decide who would host it and then when, and what city. I figure it would probably be in the summer, when classes and graduation are over, but ive never been to one before.

Does anyone know where the 2008 Local Sorority Convention is going to be?
