Steve Harvey's Morning Radio Show

This morning it debuted in Charlotte. We already have Tom Joyner, so it is Omega man vs. Omega man on the morning drive. From what I heard this morning, Steve's show is pretty enjoyable.

Fellow Charlotteans, his show comes on 101.9.:)

Anyone else listen to his show, besides the Charlotte folks?

Listening live to 107.5 WBLS right now. Girl I dang near died listening to the list as well as nephew Tommy's rant today about looking at isht and know you can't afford it!

It actually debuted in Charlotte, Fayetteville, Charleston, and Columbia.

FeeFee 11-07-2005 11:25 AM

Nephew Tommy is a straight up fool, cthu. Jacque Reid is the sane one in the bunch.

I LOATHE Frank and Wanda! I actually like a lot of talk in the morning, and the TJMS plays too much music. I've started listening to the Bert Show on Q100. They are so funny and they have some great call ins with delimmas. This morning they were talking about a woman who accepted an engagement ring that her fiance had previously given to his ex. Another woman called in saying that she was wearing her husband's exwife's ring.

I was embarrassed to admit that I listen to the Bert Show too. Been an avid fan since 2002. In all honesty, I have all of the Best of the Bert Show cds. When I used to travel for my old job, I had them with me. Jeff is hilarious to me. But, if we had Steve Harvey, I'd probably listen to it.

So I take it Steve doesn't cosign and repeat everything his funnier cohosts says... like Tom Joyner??

Naw not that I could discern from today's show. Steve is clearly the funny man but his nephew Tommy had me dying today talking about Black folks that go looking at $5 million dollar homes but can't afford their rent or go to look at Maybachs (sp) but still ain't paid off their 1996 Camry. :p

jitterbug13 11-07-2005 03:13 PM

We've had Steve Harvey in Charleston for about a month now on Star 99.7. I've heard him once or twice and he sounds pretty good. I'm still partical to Tessa and Baby J in the morning, who are the morning show crew on our local hip-hop station (btw, they are trying to go synciated). Mama and Stepdad Jitterbug are still listening to Tom Joyner.

MsDJ80 11-07-2005 07:13 PM

I'm so glad we have the Steve Harvey Show in the morning now...TJMS comes on 98.5 which isn't all that clear in my car and Doug Banks is kinda irritating to me

When I lived in Charlotte...I was an avid Ace and TJ fan...so I'm wondering how No Limit Larry and the rest of them will fare with Steve Harvey in town now

If TJMS comes on at KISS, does Steve Harvey come on the Big DM?

You can listen online. I posted the link.

CrimsonTide4 11-08-2005 04:28 PM

I listened to the show this morning and learned 2 things:

1. Tommy is a Kappa, an S G Rho wrote in via e-mail and showed him some Indiana love

2. Tommy was the man in the Domino's commercial about some toppings or what not.

They did that first. He was the Domino's man who stood at his door talking to the delivery guy making up all kinds of topping combinations.

I just started listening to this show too. I missed this part of the show though. I was a loyal Star and Bucwild fan, but I may have to switch for a while.:D

I am a fan of Ace and TJ too. There topics are interesting. Since the Steve Harvey show premiered, I switch back and forth. The TJMS was growing stale and No Limit Larry and his crew can be anoying  .

kiml122 11-23-2005 10:25 PM

Well the show premierred here I guess about 2 weeks ago, and I listened to it for the first 2 days, and that was enough for me. I couldn't take it anymore, so I'm back to listening to the TJMS

CrimsonTide4 03-03-2006 11:58 AM

According to Steve this morning, the show will be broadcasting in DC and Birmingham starting Monday. :)

nikki1920 03-03-2006 02:00 PM

Yes, he will be. And I am so mad b/c his show kicked off a very good (and child friendly) AM show on WHUR. So now I will have nothing to listen to in the AM while I take the child to school.

GoldenGlow2000 03-03-2006 03:36 PM

I listen to it every morning on 106.3 in Chicago Il. Love the Strawberry Letters!

starang21 03-04-2006 01:13 PM

i want jacqui reid for christmas.

Steeltrap 03-04-2006 01:17 PM

Good to see him doing well

Well, we used to have Steve out here in Kollyfornia, although his show was not a great fit for KKBT-FM because he's more for the "grown and sexy," as it were, and he also clowned the format (he's a well-known critic of a lot of forms of hip-hop/rap). I think I'll take an online listen, soon.

BLUTANG 03-06-2006 10:37 AM

i listened a little bit this morning (first time), and it was o.k.

hijak

i didn't even know this switch was happening! i was in the car this morning like WTF??? why is there RAP on WHUR morning show? between this and michael baisden in the evenings, i think the station might be going through an identity crisis.

AKA_blackbarbie 03-07-2006 11:44 PM

He just came on the air here in Dallas last week. The radio station 105.7 didn't say anything about the switch, the other team was good, with comedien Hope Flood. Now we have Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, Ricky Smiley (all Ques Huh) and a local team. So good variety, and I have to switch back and forth alot!
I like talk on the way to work, love to start the day off laughing!

Oh Gosh! I hate his show!. I can't believe they got rid of the HUR morning show. It was agreat show for adults and plus it always tied the listener back to what was happening at Howard.

I knew Dallas had Tom Joyner but was not aware that Ricky had a radio show as well. You're right -- ALL OMEGAS, ALL MORNING :D

ATLSigma99 03-08-2006 03:56 PM

We may need to get Steve Harvey's show here in Atlanta. Right now, we are stuck with either Tom Joyner, the A-Team(Griff and the remaining members from the old Ryan Cameron Morning Show), ol' annoying Frank Ski, and Si-Man.
