Ditto. I don't eat McDonald's very often just because of the fact that it could cause me to have a heart attack before I turn 30. I've already got enough problems...

KSigkid 10-26-2005 10:48 AM

I don't see any problem with it; if you're eating there, you might as well know what you're eating.

If you're a McDonald's fan, you probably knew that it wasn't exactly the most nutritional meal anyway.

KSUViolet06 10-26-2005 11:15 AM

I don't eat there just because it doesn't taste good to me anymore like it did when I was younger. I'd personally rather have Wendy's, Chipotle, or Taco Bell.

KatieKate1244 10-26-2005 11:23 AM

Oh, I love Mickey D's. My biggest complaint, though, is when I order a VANILLA milkshake, it should taste like VANILLA, and not have hints of chocolate or strawberry.

We're all gonna die anyway. If I die because I love eating McDs fries, then so be it. At least I'll die full and happy.

If I were the head bitch in charge, I'd put a ban on all dancing.

I could give a rat's butt, but I wish there was some way I could turn that shit off in your posts.

Just remember that it's not YOU that I don't like. It's just the dancing. But oh well.

This thread is making me want to get in my car and go down to McDs to get one of their soft serve ice creams.

AchtungBaby80 10-26-2005 02:43 PM

I think McDonald's is the granddaddy of all evil things, but hey, at least there's a chance people will get a little nervous when they read the label and see exactly what they're eating.

Rollergirl2001 10-26-2005 03:44 PM

I've notcied the nutrition labels on the wrappers and cartons.

I (heart) McDonalds. I love the Chicken Selects and the fries. (and the triple cheeseburger!) It's sad that the grilled chicken is undercooked at the McDonalds near me. :(

AOX81 10-26-2005 03:50 PM

Damn!! Reading this thread is making me hungry!!!

I love McD's french fries. It's all horrible for you, but there's something about a Filet O'Fish (no tartar), fries and a diet coke that just makes me happy.

_Opi_ 10-26-2005 04:04 PM

U know..even after watching Supersize me, I will still eat the #12 Combo with diet pepsi.

In fact, after reading this thread, I've decided that I will hop in my car and go to the drive-thru after work.

When I was a kid on my first trip to the mainland, I threw a fit at McDonalds because they didn't have fruit punch. They had HI-C! You know what's funny? The fruit punch is advertised as Fanta punch, but it doesn't taste like Fanta at all! I wonder what they put in it.

I'm kinda curious as to other McDonalds restaurants across the country. In Hawaii the McDonalds restaurants have the fruit punch, spam 'n eggs 'n rice and Portuguese sausage eggs 'n rice for breakfast, and Saimin (which is pretty much like ramen with garnishings). Do you know of any other McDs out there that have things on the menu unique to certain parts of the country?

SOPi_Jawbreaker 10-26-2005 04:53 PM

I'm sure they have interesting items at the McDonald's in other countries. When I visited family in Taiwan, we didn't go to McDonald's (cuz the line was freakin' long), but we did go to a Pizza Hut and they had stuff like squid pizza and eel pizza.

I remember seeing lobster rolls at the McD's on Cape Cod before a lot of other places; I don't know how unique they were though.

I went to Mexico over the summer and they had a McSalsa (burger with salsa and guacamole only). They had more fruit on the menu (not just the dinky mandarin oranges), they had orange smoothies, chorizo (spicy sausage) burritos, carne asada tacos, and of course flan (custard).

The1calledTKE 10-26-2005 05:40 PM

I have seen some McDonalds in South Ga that serve grits.

I remember at the largest McDonalds in the world in Orlando served pizza.

I've seen poutine on the menu at McDonalds in Toronto.

Around here they had bratwurst for a couple years during football season. The one on 42nd Street in NYC near Times Square had little teeny donuts.

In the UK they have this really good pasta salad, and right now they've got toasted deli sandwiches. (Click the other links on that page and you can see some of the other things they have in the UK)

AlphaSigOU 10-26-2005 07:26 PM

SuckDonald's has many menu variations to cater to regional tastes. You can't find a lobster roll at a Texas McDonald's but they're all over the Mickey D's in New England. And they're always test-marketing new menu items in smaller and select markets. (I used to work for one of the kitchen equipment manufacturers for SuckDonald's. No, I don't have 'ketchup in my blood' - as dedicated McD employees refer to themselves.)

There's one in Miami, in the Little Havana neighborhood, that was the only McD's in the world that had cafe con leche on the menu.

ADqtPiMel 10-26-2005 09:00 PM

I love McDonalds, but I only eat there every once in a while. I prefer my arteries unclogged and I don't want to sport a muffin top.

honeychile 10-26-2005 09:15 PM

I don't know about around here (I eat a McD's breakfast sandwich about once a month), but I've heard that the McDonalds in Israel are all kosher.

alphaxikt 10-26-2005 09:53 PM

McDonalds in Hawaii serve spam and rice...

DeltAlum 10-26-2005 10:22 PM

I think the worst hamburger I've ever eaten was from McDonalds In London.

Otherwise, I don't mind the once in a while.
