In a way that's true, but I see it as no different than living in big cities like LA, NYC, Chicago, etc. To me, it's worth it because there's nothing like growing up here. I can't think of anywhere else where I want to raise my kids.

Errr...one of my biggest pet peeves. NATIONALITY = the nation in which you claim your CITIZENSHIP -- not your ETHNICITY. In that case, I'd guess that you'd be American.

When I was in 2nd grade I think. During class we had to share our ethnicity to the class. It was pretty cool. It was my turn and I was like

" ummm I'm Viiiietnamese, Frennnnch, Polyneeesiannnn and Japaneseee".


Some kid goes, " I thought you were Mexican? "

Another kid. " You look black"

Another kid. " Man, You're a MUTT"

I thought the kid called me a Butt. So I punched the kid. Today that kid is still my best friend.
