I'm not sure if you had the chance to read a little bit of this thread before posting, but I am already a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. What is really your purpose in trying to discredit greeks and masonic organizations?

Question: What have you done for your community lately to help the less fortunate? Why do you feel the need to try and discredit someone that is christian and a member of a greek of masonic organization?

I believe before you try to point fingers and discredit the good of others and try to make them out to be negative that we should look at ourselves first.

I guess I just don't see the conflict when none of these organizations are trying to be an alternate religion in so many different forums on this site and others they have said they don't worship any "gods" that others are saying they do, so I just don't get the point.

So, I did check out this website and I have one question. Does the author of this website feel the same way about greek lettered honor societies like Phi Beta Kappa?

It just rubs me the wrong way when people become so anti-greek for the reasons listed in that website. Similar practices such as taking oaths and dedicating one's self to a cause (organization) happen in non-greek lettered orgs. I mean if you are going to be againt a practice at least be consistent about it.

I said I was going to ignore this but I am only replying to save myself from getting a bunch of PMs from interests who think you cannot be Christian and a member of a BGLO or a masonic organization (i hope this is the right classification).

In my 8 years of being a Delta, I have NEVER prayed to Minerva, Osceola, Edith, Florence, Marcia, Louise, Dorothy, Soror Ladygreek, or otherwise. I pray to The One who made me, sustains me, etc. I know how to balance my faith and my Christianity with my membership in Delta. Delta is an org. It does not make me or define me. It is a sisterhood that I am thankful that God has blessed me to be a part. Yes, I do believe that God has ordained me to be a member of Delta.

My membership of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorportated does not solidify my relationship with Jesus Christ NOR does it guarantee me into the Kingdom of Heaven. Sooooo if Delta Sigma Theta can't get me into heaven, then it sure as hell can't kick me out!!!!

So YES you can be a Christian and YES you can be a member of Greek Letter Organization. Thank you!

Question Min Hatchett (no I am not trying to be funny - I really have a question):

1. I skimmed your website. Although you explain salvation and seem to appeal to GLO members that do not know Christ - you do not show specifically how GLOs go against Christianity. MInd you - I am not talking about the few who choose to abuse their intakes - remember - there are sinners in every organization - including the church. I am talking specifics as far as why you believe a born again Christian cannot be in a GLO. The Ephesians 5-11 website that you have listed references masonry - I am asking specifically about GLOs.

2. You are very passionate about what you are doing - but do you think that this approach is the best? Do you think that you are winning more people over to Christianity - (I mean non-Christians of course) - or turning them off?

And understand my view - I am a Christian. I have met a few Christians that have denounced their letters, but when I ask in depth questions, they get very uncomfortable and cannot give me a specific answer as to why.

Personally - AKA is not my God. I don't idolize it. Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior - however I do believe that for those who make GLOs their God and have a problem distinguishing between the 2 (the balance that a few have already mentioned) - they may need to step back for while until they can obtain that balance because Christ should always be first.

So are you able to answer my question - clearly and concisely? And so that there will not be any more drama on this board - feel free to PM me.
