I really like this girl I met and we get along perfect and she makes me smile with my heart and all that but shes the same height as me and taller with heels. Its a little awkward but Im trying to get over it... Does anyone have any experience with this situation?

I have had two past boyfriends who were my height. I got really into wearing flats during that time. I've also heard guys say that other guys think it is sexy if a guy is with a taller girl.

I've dated men who were my height before...quite a few, actually. They never seemed to mind when I wore heels--which, I might add, I will never give up, not even for the most perfect guy ever! :p I kind of liked dating guys who weren't tall because it's easier to kiss them (no standing on my tip toes!) and I could actually see their faces, so it was cool.

It doesn't seem to matter as much if the guy is bulkier than the girl. Get thee to the roid store!! :)

And hey, it all evens out when you are laying down.

The funniest situation I've been involved a girl on a college basketball team.

It would be sad if you thought you weren't good enough for a taller girl - or a girl that is your height and "makes [you] smile with [your] heart."

My husband is the same height or maybe thismuch shorter then me. But he loves it when I wear heels. (Maybe that's why I never wear them :p ;) :p )

Considering the fact that I'm 5'1... I've never dated a guy thats my height.

I've dated excessively tall *6'6* and a good medium 5'8. I was happy with both.

I'm sort of tall (5'8-ish) and I tend to prefer guys that are taller than me. BUT, I would never not date a guy I really liked because he was my height or a teeny bit shorter.
If the girl likes you and you like her then get over the height issue. It's hard enough to find someone you like that much...and if it becomes an issue maybe YOU can start wearing heels...haha.;)

I'm 5'3" but often wear heels so I'll be at least 5'5". I could *NOT* date someone my height. I have a height requirement of at least 5'9" or 5'10".

Call me shallow or whatever, but I don't care.

Two boyfriends were about my height. It didn't bother me, but I also never had a reason to wear heels with either of them.

I'm 6'1" and I dated a girl that was just about that tall in heels...and I just didn't like it.

Great girl and it wasn't really about the height...but somethings just felt really odd and I didn't like it.

I'm only 5 ft tall, so dating a guy my height is out of the question.

Up until recently I only dated guys over 6ft tall (the tallest being 6ft 5). Its not that I excluded short guys, but it just seems that i always ended up with tall guys.

This summer I dated a guy who was 5ft 5 and I hated it. It was nice because I didn't have to jump or stand on a chair to kiss him, but I just didn't like dating a guy that short.

My current crush is 5ft 8 and I like that height. Close enough to kiss, yet he is tall enough to not make it feel weird.

See I won't date guys who are above a certain height. 5'7" is my ideal height for a guy. Of course... I'm barely 5'2". And I hate wearing heels.

Maybe this girl is the same way. Maybe she can still find shoes without heels.

I don't think it'd matter too much... but some of my friends would disagree with me.

I am 5'3" -- I usually wear heels which adds several inches to my height-- but I have never dated anyone close to my height----- I have more a thing for tall guys. There is a 21inch height difference between me and my husband.

I'm 5'8", about 5'10" in heels. My boyfriend is about 5'6". At first it was a little akward to me seeing as I had never dated anyone who wasn't taller than me.

I got over it really quickly. I cared about him and wanted to be with him and I am. I will wear heels out and he doesn't care.

If you really like this girl, you shouldn't let height bother you. If she really likes you, it won't bother her either..

I'm about 4'8" so almost everyone I date is taller than me, but I'm paying about $200/hr so it's really not that awkward.

Do you usually go to places with stairs so that way that'll even things up a bit?

I'm 5ft 10 and 1/2 inches :D and I would prefer to date men who are taller than me... but I have dated one guy who was pretty much the same height as me and it didn't bother me. I don't think I would be interested in dating someone shorter than me, but I wouldn't rule it out. My mommy is also 3 inches taller than my daddy, and they still like each other ;)

I prefer a taller man---and that's mostly what I've gotten. Currently, my man is 6'2'', and I'm 5'6''.......

Especially since most of the time she's on her knees.

I'm 5'7 and I love to wear heels. I need a guy that will still tower over me in heels so my requirement is that he's at least 6 feet. My boyfriend is 6'2. Perfect.

What can I say I love heeels! That and I'm the shortest person in my family.

My sweety is like an inch shorter than I am...he has no problem with the fact I am "taller," when I was picking out shoes to wear to a wedding we went to he said he didn't care if I wore heals cause he has no problem with the whole height issue. I thought that was sweet and cool!

so upon further review shes actually about an inch shorter than me when we are both barefoot. I like her a lot and ive gotten over the height thing. We are going to formal this weekend in Tahoe ill be sure to take a picture and post it in here.

Oh and shes also the shortest in her family, her mom is 6'1, her dad is 6'2, and she has a brother that is 6'8 and growing!

I have girlfriends who are taller than their boyfriends...
I don't like guys that are skinnier than me though.

That is one of my rules. To date you I can not be taller than you when I am wearing heels. Its just stragne.

I definitely have this thing about girls taller than me. I dated a swimmer spring of my junior year, who was about an inch taller than me w/o heels...and b/c she's a D1 swimmer her shoulders were broader than mine...I still weighed more than she did...if I hadn't, that would have been even worse.

Anyways, as nice and fun as she was and all, it bothered me a lot. She's still one of my friends which for me says a lot, b/c usually I totally drop former girlfriends off the face of the planet.

I think part of the problem was that I have always loved short girls and so I have this ideal of a girl who's about 5'4 -5'6. I think that's why it bothered me so much.

I'm 5'8 w/o heels, and I'm as tall and if not, taller than alot of guys. Height is really not a big deal to me when it comes to guys..for the most part. Or maybe I just don't really notice a guy's height like some people do.

I'm 5'9" and max out at 6ft in heels. I can appreciate the aesthetic of a guy shorter than 6ft but I won't be attracted to him unless he's 6ft and taller. I'm sure that would change if the guy was just freaking amazing and so long as he was at least as tall as I am, we could work something out. So I guess my point is if that you really like this girl and you can deal with the height thing, screw it and get to know her better.

I'm about 5'3 and I love taller guys! Not NBA-8-feet tall size, but just taller than me. Most guys I've dated are around the 6' mark.

I don't think the height difference is that obvious so that you should be all weirded out by it. Besides, y'all look good together. :)

I think you look cute together! As a tall girl (6' barefoot), don't discount her just because she's a little taller than you. If it was more than six inches I'd probably say the opposite but you really do look good together.

Go for it! If the relationship lasts you'll have normal sized offspring! ;) I think it's kind of sexy if the girl is slightly taller. Especially if she's hot. You'll feel like Tom Cruise with a runway model straight out of Cosmo.

Awwww....you guys really do look great together! I actually like guys who are about my height, I really like a guy who is my height and I WISH he liked me back. Both my boyfriends were only about 4-5 inches taller and I LOVED IT. I don't know how they felt about being that close, but I like 'em lip-level :D.

My dad just walked by and told me to tell you to be thankful you have somebody you like who likes you back at the same time. I think that was a dig at me....I've been single for 3 years and he was quite attached to my last boyfriend...yup, that was DEFINITELY a dig at me, but carry on.....
