Congratulations to the newest member of the Carnation Nation!! I posted a crown necklace on the Recruitment Forum, but we already know that she has shown royal class in this recruitment season!!

Sister Havana 10-01-2005 12:07 AM

CONGRATS! :D Can't wait to hear her story!

carnation 10-01-2005 12:09 AM

Hey guys! I just got back from a high school football game that we had to leave for immediately after she called us, so we don't know many details. We only know that she was invited over to the house a few times over the past few weeks and she was asked to join today. She knows most of the new members and really likes them. I'm so thrilled for her! :) :) :)

kddani, our immediate family tally is:

1 ZTA sister
2 AOII sisters
2 Chi O sisters

and 1 proud Pi Phi mom!

ZTABullwinkle 10-01-2005 01:13 AM

Carnation,

I am slightly biased :D , but I am so glad to see one of the Carnation nation join Zeta Tau Alpha.

Please forgive me if I should be able to find this elsewhere (been a LOOOOOOOOONG 48 hours). But where is this daughter? Did she go through Formal Recruitment?

I am happy to hear about your "Panhellenic" family spreading. I hope one day you get our Pi Phi.

Meredith

Though Pi Phi's support of literacy is dear to my heart professionally, I have such admiration for Zeta's philanthropy. I'm absolutely thrilled for the newest member of the Carnation Nation.

AOIIalum 10-06-2005 05:59 PM

Congrats to her on such wonderful news!

Thank you! And Zeta's philanthropy is special to our family too...my mother and aunt are breast cancer survivors and another of their sisters beat it the first time she got it but did not the second time.

Silverblue 10-06-2005 07:46 PM

What better month than October to be a new Zeta? Think pink, everybody!

carnation 10-30-2005 07:28 PM

This weekend my daughter was initiated into Zeta Tau Alpha! She wore her sisters' dress that they used at AOII and Chi Omega initiations-and a friend used it at an AZD initiation. My 6th daughter is kind of awed at being a legacy to 4 groups!

StarryNight (the 5th one) will get to meet her future ZTA sister-in-law in 6 weeks at our oldest daughter's wedding!

Silverblue 10-30-2005 07:32 PM

I think you have an heirloom in the making.

Congratulations to the newest Zeta!

LuvUTrulyKKG 10-31-2005 03:08 AM

just think if that dress could talk ;)

trojangal 10-31-2005 06:15 AM

Looks like there was a wonderful weekend in the Carnation nation as well!

Please send congratulations to StarryNight from her new Panhellenic sister in Kappa Delta!

mmcat 10-31-2005 09:16 AM

a lot of smiles for this one...

hehe, good thing it can't! We'd have an esoteric nightmare on our hands :) teehee.

But beside that, congrats to your daughter and your family! I hope the initiation heirloom gets many more uses! :)

OleMissGlitter 10-31-2005 02:14 PM

Congratulations. Her chapter of ZTA is OUTSTANDING! I have toured their house and it is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so happy for her and for ZTA :) What a perfect match :)

If that dress could talk...
