Britney Spears Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Well, they did it.

Britney gives birth

Unregistered- 09-14-2005 06:28 PM

Britney Spears has helped husband Kevin Federline multiply
and replenish the earth. Again.

BEST. LINE. EVER!

BetteDavisEyes 09-14-2005 06:39 PM

That's what I thought. I laughed my ass off when I read that.

Xylochick216 09-14-2005 07:09 PM

What a trend-whore, thinking of naming her kids after a city. Ugh.

I feel badly for this poor child. At least it will have some good hired help to aid in raising him.

From what I have heard...They are running out of money. Kevin is spending it all.

How convenient is it that a) she had the baby by c-section! b)tomorrow her new fragrance launces.....HMMM!

ZTAngel 09-14-2005 07:31 PM

And the world is united in pity for this poor child...

honeychile 09-14-2005 08:43 PM

I think it was Letterman who said last night that Brittany Spears thinks she's having a boy, "That's all she needs - TWO unemployed men sitting around the house, spending her money!"

Oops! She did it, alright!

UKDaisy 09-14-2005 09:12 PM

Congrats to Britney!! :)

AnonAlumna 09-14-2005 09:56 PM

I can't wait to see the first pics! I bet he's got a mullet!

Some people do that. Victoria Beckham had a son named, Brooklyn and Melanie B named her daughter, Phoenix.

Now, Arizona is a cool name, although it's a state. Some people name their children Africa and Asia, but London, umm...no.

Congrats to Britney! I knew it was a boy.

If I ever get a dog, I'd name it Brooklyn because of the city's meaning to me. I could see someone naming their child that. My aunt's niece named her daughter Brooke Lynn because she was originally from Brooklyn and moved to Texas. Some names go I think.

no kidding... don't C-sections leave scars?

She will never be able to wear her skimpy clothes to make more money for Kevin :p

If possible, C-sections are usually done any more so they leave a "bikini scar" - it will basically follow a thick thong.

You don't really think that she won't have a touch of surgery to hide any scarring, do you? ;)

Britney? Of course not! :o

CutiePie2000 09-15-2005 02:07 AM

Well, when this relationship goes bust, she can go and procreate with Kato Kaelin.

Hell, they look exactly the same.

The scar is only about 4-5 inches long...and very VERY low.

It takes several months (I'd say a year) to heal enough to "look good" (that's for the SCAR....and this is just from my personal experience.) And if a lower view is necessary, then scar makeup could easily cover it up.

I know... that's why I called her a trend-whore, copying the Beckhams and everyone else who did that years ago.

I just looked at the scripts for our morning show and she's named him Preston Michael Spears Federline. At least the name is normal.

SSS1365 09-15-2005 08:25 AM

Yeah, those C-section scars are extremely low. My brother-in-law's wife was really drunk this past New Year's and decided to show everyone her scar, and we all saw much more than we ever wanted or needed to! So Britney could still wear her skimpy clothes and still be okay.

Talk about starting out with the deck stacked against you.

So, my question is WHY would she want to choose to have a C section? She was quoted as saying she didn't want to go through the pain of labor (or something like that)....Epidurals are wonderful for that kind of thing. With a C, she'll be sore and still healing for a couple of months...and won't be able to do much moving around (this is from friends who had C sections, not from personal experience).

But then again...maybe she doesn't want to do much moving around....

(of course, there could have been a medical reason for the C section, but it doesn't sound like it according to her statements).

Personally, I think she'll be a pretty good mom...she'll love having something/someone to give her unconditional love. I just think she's a fool for doing this with Federline...he doesn't have a good committment track record, and she didn't give him enough time to prove that he'll be any different with her. Once the money is gone, I think he will be too. :(

My guess is she wanted to have a little nip and tuck done at the same time.

But even with epidurals, having a baby can still be a long and not-always-pleasant process. With a C-section, you go in, have a little anesthesia (either local or full knock-out) and voila! you have a baby. Granted, I don't think she really comprehends that a C-section is Major Surgery and that there could be a lengthy recovery time. I've had friends who said recovering from a C/S is one of the hardest things they've done. I have other friends who were up and about 2 days post C/S, so it all depends on the individual.

Me too.

Preston Michael Spears Federline...

P.M.S. Federline? Nice name for the kid.

honeychile 09-15-2005 12:21 PM

My thinking is that she wanted to "control" the day, and will now have tummy tuck #1.

So does this mean that the whole thing about her reserving a room (or group of them) in Arizona for the 23rd of September was just to throw people off track?

Eww, you are SO right! Preston is nice though.

And I absolutely agree with everyone that K-Fed will be out the door as soon as he thinks he's gotten enough publicity to be famous on his own.

Personal opinion- Britney is a dumbass. and yeah I think her career is pretty much over.

I think as long as she can still lift the greasy food and Starbucks Frappuccinos to her mouth, she'll be fine. ;)

I actually used to like Britney.... But man she has really let herself go over the last few years.... Actually since she broke up with Justin.

James 09-15-2005 02:57 PM

I don't mibd Britney Spears at all. And I think her music is ok for what it is, pop and catchy.

But did she and Kevin come from white trash backgrounds originally? I don't mean that to be ash harsh as it sounds but it seems like the media portrays them almost as if they would be totally trashy people without their money.

33girl 09-15-2005 03:15 PM

They are totally trashy...money or not.

BetteDavisEyes 09-15-2005 03:29 PM

Seriously. Who goes into a public bathroom at a gas stop barefoot? That's just nasty.

MY EYES! MY EYES!!

Didn't her stylist tell her how AWFUL she looked? Probably not....

Lindz928 09-15-2005 04:47 PM

I think she probably had to fire her stylist when she married Kevin... She just can't afford that when she has a lazy-ass hanging around spending her money. ;)

FSUZeta 09-15-2005 04:48 PM

Lord......give us strength!!

carnation 09-15-2005 05:25 PM

She wanted a section because she didn't want PAIN? Oh, I am the EXPERT on this, having had 5 regular births and 3 sections--she has only begun to feel the pain. You can have an epidural in labor and then the pain is pretty much over but C-section pain will be around for awhile plus it's forever before you can exercise because your stomach muscles have been cut.

Plus if you nurse the child, the pain that goes through that cut area when he starts to nurse is horrendous. Um, what was she thinking?

Agreed. I think she'll be a great mom. And I'm glad both mom and baby are healthy. A lot of close sources have said she had a difficult pregnancy.

Just in case y'all were still wondering:

The source also said that the healthy baby boy was born at 12:57 p.m. and that Britney's C-section scar is very small and very low.

Apparently she gained more than 50 pounds during her pregnancy... And I heard that a healthy weight gain is more like 35 pounds.

Maybe one of the moms on GC can tell me if that 35 pound number is the same that they have heard.

My surgery scar (not from a c-section but the same area) is barely noticeable and easily covered by not much...........
