What a start. OU upset and Tennessee struggled against a scrub team. And it is only the afternoon. Maybe Hawaii has a chance now. ;) :p
|
Georgia killed Boise State. Some people predicted Boise to upset UGA. Bet they feel dumb now.
Go Dawgs!!!!:) USC killing Hawaii but I don't think anyone is shocked about that. |
FIGHT THE *&^% ON SC!
|
Yeah, that's why I didn't bother going to the game today. Surprised it was a sellout.
Then again I am no longer the QB's good luck charm, so Colt and Tyler will just have to wait till I'm available again. Hopefully they'll do well later on this season. |
All I know is that I am SO HAPPY that Michigan won! My weekends are ruined when they lose-- my boyfriend needs to join a support group for die hard fans!! I like to watch them too though-- it is fun being a Michigan fan in Buckeye Country!! haha Its the same for me being a democrat-- a blue in a red state!! haha Anyways- GO BLUE!

Clemson upset the Aggies.
|
Notre Dame upset Pittsburgh.
|
GA Tech upset Auburn.
No War Eagle chants today. |
Cats vs Cards!!!
Go Cats!!!!! ----- please realize that I do know we will lose prolly every game this season. But, YAY for tailgating and not caring!!! |
I went to the UMD vs. Navy game in Baltimore last night. We were up in the nosebleeds, but the whole day was a lot of fun. Lots of camaraderie between the MD and Navy fans, everyone seemed to be well behaved and respectful. The MD team stayed on the field at the end of the game for the Navy alma mater and everyone in the stands stood while the band played it, it was nice. Even though schedules are set for the next few years, with the addition of a 12th game, maybe they can do it again.
Now I'm off to go watch West Virginia then Virginia Tech. -Lil' Hannah --I love my mid-atlantic teams. |

There was no upset, we Irish fans knew they'd win. -Mark |
I am so happy that my Tigers won their game yesterday. Everyone was really worried since the team has been having a tough time recently dealing with the death of one of their teammates in July. Hopefully we can keep winning all season long. ;)

There is no place like Nebraska Dear old Nebraska U. Where the girls are the fairest, The boys are the squarest, Of any old school that I knew. There is no place like Nebraska, Where they're all true blue. We'll all stick together, In all kinds of weather, For Dear old Nebraska U! |
We struggled waaaaaay too much against Illinois State, but we won.
Next weekend is not going to be pretty. |

I'll be posting my WAR EAGLE next week after we beat Mississippi State :) |
My Sooners got their asses kicked by the TCU Horny Toads, but as long as my Sooners beat Texas and OSUcks, I'll be happy... :D
|
At least Oklahoma State WON their game!

You're right, there's a better place..... http://www.campuscofc.org/assets/images/bhgstad.JPG http://virtualtour.ufl.edu/images/stadium1.jpg Saturday was the largest attendance for any football game in the state of Florida. 91,000+ fans were screaming in the swamp. :D |
My boys (UConn) beat Buffalo 38-0; not that it wasn't expected, but it was good to see Terry Caulley back on the field after missing much of the last two years.
|
Last weekend was good: Texas won, OU lost, A&M lost.
(I may have to change my tune after we play Ohio State. I dunno about that one, but it should be a great game!) |
Big Ten went 10-0 opening weekend... :D
|
Oh man Iowa is going to be awesome.
I'm wondering if it's worth it to order that NCAAF cable thing where you get to see "tons" of games. |

This week is freakin AWESOME.
I want everyones predictions. Texas or OSU Notre Dame or Michigan LSU or ASU my predictions?...OSU, Michigan and ASU all win Who am I rooting for? -Texas (I want Texas to go undefeated so USC can beat the shit out of them) -Notre Dame (I hate notre dame, ick...but they are a future opponent of USC, so it couldn't hurt if they have a good record when USC pounds them!) -ASU (west coast pride baby! Except when USC beats the shit out of them!) |
At this point, I really want all the good Big 10 teams that are not Iowa to lose. I'd also be inclined to cheer for LSU.
|

You actually want them to win - it's more than beneficial for Iowa to face higher-ranked opponents . . . there's more to it, but needless to say i'll kick you in the box if you're not rooting for OSU this weekend. RC's picks: -OSU over TU -> OSU's tough at home, and Mack Brown never beats anybody. -Michigan over ND -> I don't think ND has the horses to stop UM on D, and the Big House will be rocking -ASU over LSU - ASU's traditionally VERY tough at home, especially due to the time differences (I think this is a 7:05 kickoff) . . . LSU's got other things on their mind, look for this to be a letdown game before they run off another huge season. -Iowa over ISU - watch the line on this one, though . . . there's been heavy action on Iowa, if the line gets over -10(UI) take the under. Iowa wins this game, but it'll be tight . . . ISU plays tough in the Wind Tunnel, and this is the only game their fans really care about. |

I don't care who wins or loses the OSU-Texas game. I just want them all off campus by 8am Sunday morning!

Yo y'all better recognize. In other news, I'm confused by all the bowls. I thought it was the Orange Bowl? I have no idea. |
Quote:
Each year one of those 4 bowls host the national championship game. They rotate. Year - Bowl- Winner - Conference the team represented 99- Fiesta Tennessee; SEC 00- Sugar FSU ; ACC 01- Orange Oklahoma; Big 12 02- Rose Miami ; then Big East 03- Fiesta Ohio State; Big 10/11 04- Sugar LSU; SEC...HOWEVER USC would have f*ckin romped on LSU had USC would have gotten to play in that goddamn game. A team finishes first in both polls but don't get to play in the NC game. System wasn't perfect, never was perfect and never will be perfect. btw. USC would have bitch slapped Oklahoma too. USC just had to wait another year to bitch slap Oklahoma I guess. ofcourse I am biased =) 05-Orange USC; Pac 10 * would have gladly laid the smack down on Auburn too the way they did the two previous years. maybe I'm a little biased. =) 06- now will be the Rose Bowl 6 conference powers. SEC, Big 12, Big 10 or Big 11, ACC, Big East and Pac 10. Each conference champion gets an automatic bid to go to a BCS game. Historically, as you know Rose Bowl did the Pac 10 vs Big 10. Fiesta did the Big 12 champ Sugar did the SEC Champ Orange did the Big East or ACC champ? I'm not sure on that one. |

3 big horses in the big 10 (UM, OSU and Iowa)and 1 horse who thinks they are a big horse but really are not that big of a horse (Purdue). Iowa- UM and OSU gets all the hype and Iowa doesn't get enough respect. Perhaps the talent level isn't as high, but I don't think anyone shuold overlook Iowa. ANYONE. Purdue- imo is overrated and replacing Ortan will be tough. Unless they get some stud replace ala Leinart replacing Palmer...they shuoldn't be considered in the same breath as UM, OSU and Iowa. HOwever, their schedule is in their favor not playing UM or OSU. Having Iowa at Home is definately a plus for them, but I really think Iowa will make like Tony Danza and show Purdue Who's the Boss. Big 12- I don't think even think Texas will win the Big 12 this year! Call me crazy but I think Texas A&M will. I don't think they beat Oklahoma neither! At the end of the year Brown won't be considered the Mac no more. Peace out biotch! Oklahoma will lose to fUCLA! Pac 10- Obviously I think USC wins. But it will be tough especiall playing Oregon early on. They also play @ Cal. And we all know what happened last time the Trojans played up in Cal. I think USC prevails however. NOtre Dame and UCLA will be tough rivalry games but USCs talent shuold prevail. The biggest thing going against USC is complacency and injuries! =( I think Arizona State loses only1 game and plays in their own stadium in the Fiesta Bowl. SEC is overrated this year and whatever BCS game they make it in, I believe they will lose unless they play someone from the Big East. Well maybe Louisville could beat an SEC team in the BCS, but..I don't think so! |
Quote:
There is no feasible scenario that results in a big10 team playing for the national championship unless OSU beats TU and Michigan beats ND. If you're a Hawk fan, you MUSTMUSTMUST root for UM and OSU in all of their non-conference games. It's not just 'conference pride' - it's football common sense. Suck it up. |

God I love college football!!!! |

I know it makes logical sense to cheer for OSU but I CANNOT. |
Even I am happy to see Cal and UCLA and Oregon etc win EVERY GAME that is not against USC. ;)
