Recruitment Results?!

Doesn't anyone have any recruitment stories to share with us? We don't need to wait for results -- how's it going, day by day? What themes are you using for your parties?

Etc.!

Auburn (Gamma Delta) finished recruitment last week I believe. The list of new members of each sorority is on the Auburn website https://fp.auburn.edu/greek/Recruitment.htm . Sounds like all the sororities did well!

Unregistered- 08-17-2005 04:38 PM

One of the neato things about the Excel bid sheet that was posted on Auburn's bid day is the fact that you can sort the Alpha Gam NMs without having to hurt your eyes counting how many we got from that list!

I believe it was AUDeltaGam who said quota was 57. Then Cele said quota was 59. 57, 69...whatever -- I counted a total of 62 new Gamma Delta baby squirrels. Our Auburn chapter is phenomenal...as usual. Congratulations to them and good luck to all our chapters!

GeorgiaGirl 08-18-2005 04:38 PM

GAMMA ALPHA MADE QUOTA! This is the first time in a VERY long time that this has happened. We are all so excited about all of our beautiful new members. We had an amazing recruitment. Tonight is bid night. I'll post more information later. :D

greeklawgirl 08-18-2005 05:50 PM

OH! That is wonderful news!!! I am so happy for Gamma Alpha, red and buff roses to them on their success.

(Somewhere out there tonight, agd4rie is dancing a jig!)

AGDLynn 08-18-2005 10:12 PM

Way to go y'all!!!:D

AGDee 08-19-2005 01:06 AM

Woohoo!! Yay for Gamma Alpha! That chapter has produced a lot of very involved alumnae so they must be doing a lot right!

GeorgiaGirl 08-19-2005 04:23 PM

Last night was bid night and we actually had two more girls accept bids, putting us at 56! We are SO HAPPY! I'll post pictures soon!

IHeartUGA 08-19-2005 04:44 PM

Gamma Alpha

Gamma Alpha, where I reside, actually made quota(53) +5!!! These are 58 of the most beautiful girls I have EVER seen and I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited!!!

Unregistered- 08-19-2005 04:48 PM

I believe it was ilovemyglo who mentioned in the LJ community that Delta Theta (Univ. of Idaho) got 22 brand new baby squirrels! Quota was 24. :)

Congrats to our Delta Theta sisters! The results trickling in are AMAZING and I'm so proud of our collegians and everyone helping out with recruitment 2005!

Epsilon *and* Upsilon! We're curious!

leesek 08-19-2005 06:31 PM

Epsilon got 52!!
I believe quota was 51.

AGDee 08-19-2005 08:27 PM

Woohoo! We're hearing good results from the South. I hope things go as well in Michigan. I'm very worried because our economy is badder than bad right now :( Unemployment is 7.1% and that usually greatly affects our numbers. Although, it could mean lower quotas and we could still take quota...

You have some beautiful and classy new members!

Fraternally,

Andrea

AGDLynn 08-21-2005 08:21 PM

YEA GA!!

Just heard from my s-in-law that the one of the new GA baby squirrels is the dau of a friend I have known since kindergartern.

(Kindergarten story...We had just moved to small town Monroe and one day I went home with Teresa to Good Hope. Flipped my mother out since she had no idea where Good Hope was, lol. Because of me, since then you had to have a signed note from your parents to go home with someone else....yea that was decades ago, lol. )

GeorgiaGirl...her name is Emily!:D

GeorgiaGirl 08-21-2005 10:08 PM

I think that we only have one Emily...if she's who I'm thinking of then she is adorable and such a sweet girl. We are really excited about ALL of our new members. :)

GammaIota1009 08-23-2005 01:26 AM

Quota addition

Gamma Iota made quota + 1, quota was 27. We arent at total yet- but i am cob coordinator and i can see us getting total very soon!

AGDLynn 08-23-2005 05:55 PM

Gamma Iota

I knew y'all could do it!! I was impressed with y'all at Convention!!:D

Taualumna 08-23-2005 09:26 PM

Bid day at U of T is just under a month away...we're changing recruitment this year...adding an information round on campus classrooms (7 of them, 1 for each GLO) where PNMs can meet some of the actives before going on house tours. We're hoping to increase the number of girls going in this way.

Tau has 16 actives right now, the same as last year before recruitment started.

AGDAlum 08-24-2005 09:32 AM

'Bama results were posted to the Rush Forum. AGD got 59.

AGDLynn 08-25-2005 07:54 PM

Another GA!!!

Chandler is from my hometown!!!:D :D :D

AGDLynn 08-25-2005 08:07 PM

Not a result yet but there are about 133 pnms signed up so far for West Ga's rec. next weekend and more will be added.

This makes the most ever so far, I think...but of course, pnms back out at the last minute.

GeorgiaGirl 08-30-2005 05:26 PM

Sweetheart, enjoy your first recruitment on this side of the fence. Relish this time, because for me, as an alumna, I wish I was in college again!!!

agdbirmingham 09-02-2005 08:52 PM

Sounds like all the chapters are doing well! Hope it continues! Just doesn't seem like the summer should be over and we should even be talking about recruitment already!!!

Unregistered- 09-05-2005 01:24 AM

This just in from the LJ community...

Theta Pi (Lambuth U) got 12 new baby squirrels!

Go Theta Pi!

AGDLynn 09-06-2005 12:24 AM

GAMMA TAU GOT 25!!!!!!!

Quota was 21 so with our nm that pledged late last spring, that puts us 1 under chapter total so we might get her tomorrow!!

I didn't get to stay long at the bid night party, but it was awesome!! It was held at a new restuarant (or at least new to me, lol). Ace from Real World was there and had donated the food b/c there was a mixup at his new restuarant.

Kalina, our Rec. Spec., from Mu, was there the whole time and was awesome

BTW1 - updated with more accurate info, lol. 1 nm is a cousin to a GTau and 1 nm is a cousin to a Mu.

BTW2, the first "ceremony" the baby squirrels got to see was a candlepassing!!:D Our past VP Campus Relations...who is also the cousin of one of our new baby squirrels....and is marrying the brother of a GTau!!

ETA BTW3, 1 new member lives on the same street as our former Atl. Alumnae Chapter Pres/former Prov Dir Alumnae and now Document Audits Committee member!!

ETA BTW4 - 1 new member lives just down the road of where the Ops Advisor used to live until a few months ago.

ETA5 = 1 new member lives on the same street as another GTau!!

ET6 - 1 new member lives about 1/2 mile from another GTau!!

((This is incredible!!!))

I know that I keep using the word awesome but it's late and I can't think of other words, lol. Every chapter at West Georgia did well. Although not everyone made quota , they probably will tomorrow or very soon!!

GeorgiaGirl 09-06-2005 10:49 AM

The first ceremony that our baby squirrels got to see was also a candle pass. Our VPR is engaged! I think that it was a really great way to welcome them into the chapter. It showed how close we are as a chapter and how much we love each other. They were all really excited about it.

greeklawgirl 09-06-2005 12:18 PM

Red and buff roses to all our chapters! I love it when good news rolls in. :)

Rayray, you have to keep me updated about Delta Pi, okay? ;)

rayray 09-06-2005 03:17 PM

Greeklawgirl...Of course I will keep you updated! from what i hear we have over 100 girls (as of wednesday last week) that have signed up to go through recruitment which as you know is awesome for San Francisco State. Less then a week away before rush starts...OOOHHH...excited but nervous too! Dont worry I will keep you informed!

Good luck to all other chapters!!!! and congrats to those already finished!!!

Taualumna 09-08-2005 02:18 AM
