Terrell Owens is EFFin' stupid
I'm sorry for those T.O. fans, but WTH?
I mean he is a sorry punk, bitchin' and moanin' about getting told to shut the EFF up by Coach Reid. WTF is his problem... Just play the dayum game... I guess we know who is riding the pine this season... "I wanna new contract..." Luser T.O. |
Join the club.
Something's wrong with him, mentally. I think he's a bit touched in the head. Most stars wouldn't be talking like he is. |
I couldn't agree more.
I can't remember if it was during Monday's game or somewhere else but he was compared to Dennis Rodman - which I think is probably a good comparison. He needs the drama, he needs the attention. It's been reported that the Eagles legal team has prepared documents that bullet point how T.O. is in breech of his contract. Sounds like they are getting ready to play his kind of ball! I thought this was a pretty good opinion piece on the situation. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...mqb/index.html |
It's interesting - Richard Seymour had one of the first holdouts of the Bill Belicheck era, and there was hardly a peep. Of course, neither side really used the press to state their case.
Hines Ward held out for 15 days, and there was minimal attention paid (except by Steelers fans). TO just has a way of turning a situation into a circus. I'd personally love to ask Dan LeBatard and Skip Bayless why any of this is the Eagles' fault. He's supposed to show up at camp today for a meeting with Coach Reid, so we'll see how far that goes. We'll also see how much longer Drew Rosenhaus holds onto his job without getting TO a new contract. |

LeBatard... what a hilarious surname. |

I figure any man who can afford to wear diamonds this big to PRACTICE has nothing to complain about. |
I'm tired of seeing All-Day TO, All-Night TO, All-Saturation TO.
Unless, of course, he's doing situps and is shirtless. :p |
He just needs a woman to get him in line. Ain't nothing like a man with a 'tude.
To T.O.: Call me!!! teehee;) |

HAHAHA Sure you can give it a try- I just thought since she has obvious experience being a psycho control freak she would do a great job. ;)

TO isn't that bad. He only asked for more money which is what every athlete on the planet also wants.
The team told him to shut up and play. He never held out. Once he showed up at camp the story should have been over but the media continued to make it a story. Everyone who wanted TO to shut up started complaining that TO wasn't talking. I think pressure got to Andy Reid. The blow up with TO occurred after TO was supposed to have the day off to rehab a groin injury. Later that day TO was out running routes. Andy Kotite then had a meeting with TO and suspended him. It later turned out that TO had permisson to practice. Lets not forget that the Eagles gave Kordell McNabb a new contract before his existing contract expired. Mcnabb was too tired to run the 2 minute offense in the freaking Super Bowl. Kordell McNabb should work out with TO and spend less time at TGIF eating wings. Andy Kotite was also given a new contract in the middle of an existing contract. Even the Eagles asked for a new contract. The day Jeff Laurie bought the Eagles he started crying that he wanted a new deal with the city of Philadelphia even though his existing deal had another 15 years on it. So much for the sanctity of a contract. |
Who is Kordell McNabb? ;)

TERRELL OWENS OUT!!!!! bye-bye
Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid says Terrell Owens will not return...
Associated Press PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid says Terrell Owens will not return to the team after he serves his four-game suspension http://www.timesleader.com/mld/times...l/13105327.htm Good.Riddance a philly sports fan:mad: |

I was watching a sports talk show this afternoon during lunch, and someone said "Terrell Owens is a phenomenal player but a terrible teammate." I think that pretty much sums it up... I sure wouldn't have wanted his attitude on my team. |
It almost seems like Terrell Owens is trying to pull the same stunt Randy Moss did last year with Minneapolis. This time it is going to bite him in the butt. What team will want to sign this train wreck????
Speaking of which, Mr. Moss has been MIGHTY quite in Oakland this year, hasn't he??? |

It will indeed be an interesting rest of the season (and offseason) in Philly. The question is now: do they trade him, and if so, does he have any value? |
of course he does. hes still the second best wr in the game.
|
Yes, TO is a tremendous talent, but he's damaged goods now. As they were saying on ESPN last night, he's never going to get that big money, long term deal that he thinks he deserves (and on a talent basis, he does). He's basically going to be stuck with one year deals for the rest of his career.
It almost makes me smile that his attitude and off the field conduct is making a huge dent in his wallet. Seriously, if he was smart, when he lands in a new city, he'd be better off never talking to the press. His agent has to be pulling his hair out b/c he just doesn't seem to get it. Yes, you want to speak your mind, but speaking your mind is killing your career and your value |
I like his attitude and dances.

Where might TO land?
I wonder if even the Oakland Raiders, oka the NFL's bad-boy rehab center, would take a chance on Too (sic). He will be 32 in December; he just blew up one of the league's solid citizens.

T.O. is a freak and beat Hugh Douglass (a defensive lineman) up. No wonder no one else wanted to challenge him. I love his work ethic but I wish he wasn't such a jerk. Oh well. I'm still a T.O. fan. I'm all about the superstars who showoff, whine and yell. They keep it entertaining :) |

Also the Raiders won't be high enough in the draft to get any of those guys - and Vince Young as an NFL QB? I'm not so sure about it. Quote:
Situationally tough - sounds about right up his alley. |

THe suspension is about protecting the delicate little flower that you know as Donovan McNabb. Kordell McNabb is a pussssy. He has always been a pussssy and a mamas boy. The Eagles are always going out of their way to protect him. He throws 3 picks in the NFC championship vs the Panthers and the team announcers blame the receivers for running the wrong routes. Kordell could throw the ball into the third row and the anouncers would come up with an excuse. The rest of the year I am going to be stuck listening to the injury excuse. In the Super Bowl when TO was running throgh the NE defense, Kordell was too tired to run the 2 minute drill. What a joke. McNabb is such a pusssssy. |

I also would like to see him play for Atlanta. I'd like to see how pissed he would get when Vick doesn't get him the ball when he's open. Instead, opting to run for 30 yards himself. Once again, I would love to see him face the Eagles in the NFC championship. That would just be sick. hhehe Quote:
I think Vince Young is just a great football player period. NFL QB? Depends on what system you use. I can see him as a Vick type qb, with not a lot of passing. But Vick has freakish speed, where as Young is fast but not as fast. NFL players will be able to catch him and not miss tackles. His throwing motion makes me sick. It is virtually sideways . I don't know how Bernie Kosar got away with it, but Young won't be able to. Change those mechanics, then we'll see. Who knows maybe he'll just be another Slash. Either way he is a threat anytime he has the ball and I would love to have him as a luxury on my team whether he's the QB or not. Ok anyways. I don't know if any of you watch the "best damn sports show period" but they showed parts of T.O.'s press conference. They showed an interesting/funny sequence in the press conference where a reporter ask Drew Rosenhouse " What have you done for T.O. besides getting him kicked off a team?" Drew's response was an immediate "next question" but the look on T.O.'s face was classic. They zoomed in on T.O. and you could see him with a HUGE grin, then starting to laugh at that question. he even nodded his head a little. How hilarious is that! |

Yeah, McNabb is the poster boy of the Eagles and the NFL. T.O. obviously got jealous and pissed at the attention McNabb got. I swear McNabb was the reason why the eagles lost the superbowl. It seemed like everyone showed up to play except him. Can you imagine what went on in T.O.'s mind? "DAMMIt, I nearly break my ankle come back earlier than expected, risk my career for this fucking team and our damn QB can't even throw the ball 5 yards? This guys a PUSSY! Why does he get all the love! " |
Michael Vick's death wish?
I just don't see this, because of Too vs. Greg Knapp and Mora Jr. seeing what he did to the Niners.
Vick says he wouldn't mind playing with T.O. / Associated Press Posted: 2 hours ago FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - Michael Vick wouldn't mind having Terrell Owens line up at receiver for the Atlanta Falcons — as long as T.O. understands one thing. "This is my team," Vick said Wednesday. Besides, No. 7 already has provided a resounding response to those who criticize his passing numbers and deride him as nothing more than a freak of an athlete masquerading as a quarterback. Last week, Vick completed a season-best 22-of-31 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown, with no interceptions in a 17-10 victory at Miami. Asked if he was out to prove a point, Vick shrugged his shoulders and said, "Kind of, sort of. I just wanted to win the game. I did whatever it took to win the game. That is what it took." Vick still ranks 26th in the league in passing efficiency, working with a group of nondescript receivers led by Brian Finneran (27 receptions, two TDs). So, it was no surprise when the quarterback's weekly question-and-answer session quickly turned toward Owens, who was suspended by Philadelphia after an interview critical of the organization and teammate Donovan McNabb. "I think I could play with anybody," Vick said. "It's all if they could play with me. He would have to understand my style of play and what I do. And if he can do that, he can be here. Other than that, this is my team." Even though Owens issued a public apology Tuesday, the Eagles plan to deactivate him for the rest of the season after his four-game suspension is up. Owens, of course, is eager to get back on the field. Though he has a home in Atlanta, he recently put the 18,000-square-foot spread on the market for $4.5 million, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He would certainly be a major upgrade over the Falcons' current group of receivers. Then again, T.O. has always been a major disruption in the locker room, the kind of player who could upset the tight-knit bond that coach Jim Mora has instilled in his team. "We understand that it takes 11 guys to win a football game," Vick said. "We do not have any selfish guys on the football team. That is fine with me." The Falcons' offense is built around the league's most effective running game, and that wouldn't change no matter who's at receiver. Much of the running is done by Vick, who gained nearly 1,000 yards last season and ranks second on the team this year with 340 yards. "I run the ball a little bit more than other quarterbacks so, that might take away from some of his catches," Vick said, referring to Owens. "You have to be a team player when you come here." |
