What are you driving

Sisterfriends:

I'm interested in what everyone is driving, why, and what you would really like to be driving?
95 Gran Am(pd. for). I drive it because it's paid for. Want another car, but not the note. If I break down, it'll be that new SUV by Toyota.

prettypoodle6 05-21-2001 05:12 PM

i'm driving a 2000 toyota 4 runner..... this was my dream car for the longest, but i was a broke college student and couldnt afford it. then one day my old car (ford escort) just up and decided that regardless of what gear i put in it only was gonna go in reverse!!! so i HAD to get a new car, and thought i'd might as well get what i want.

but now i kinda want a navigator (4 runners arent as spacious as i had thought)...

RHOyal-Silence 05-21-2001 10:56 PM

well i was driving my mom's paid for toyota corolla.
but i decided to step out on my own and i bought a little '01 nissan sentra.
it suits me just fine. i really don't have a dream car.

blu_theatrics 05-24-2001 12:21 AM

I have my little Kia Sephia..'96
Still paying on it

I guess I have grown to like it, but I can't wait to graduate and get a real job and get a real car

BlueReign 05-25-2001 02:41 PM

A Ford Winstar.

But I wish (and maybe one day soon) I can drive a fast, black car. I don't know why but I have always wanted one. No particular model.

rho4life 10-22-2004 02:44 PM

325i. FUN! :p

Angelicqt716 10-22-2004 02:54 PM

When I got my first job at 15 my mom gave me her 97 Ford explorer. Then I wrecked it, and I got to keep it. Its not a bad SUV, but I want something smaller. A Mazda 6 would be nice. Maybe when I graduate college.

cjoanell 10-22-2004 05:32 PM

i'm driving a 1990 celica gts 5 speed. i always wanted to learn how to drive stick, so i bought one. it's only my 2 car. my first car 1984 chevy citation, bessie mae....... lol.... i had to let her go. we had a few problems and i got tired of putting money into her. I MISS HER:(

Queencece 10-22-2004 08:04 PM

I have a green 99' Honda Civic. A four door sedan with slightly tinted windows and a NICE Sony sounds system that I bought a year ago. I must say that I love my used car (got it 2 yrs ago), but I think I want a new car because I just do.

I would like to get myself a Toyota Rav4 and graduate to an Acura TL 3.2 one day....Ahhh, one day.

Oh well, I have to be positive that I have a car that is in very good condition. I am also about to buy myself a car starter before its gets too cold.

My 1st Car

Prior to the very 1st scooter I owned in my saga of scooters, I owned a 1967 VW Bug. Very Classic car.http://www.cirkut.com/bug/w446a.jpg http://www.cirkut.com/bug/w446c.jpg My car was grey. It had body issues, dents some rust but I was going to paint it and fix it up (think pimp my ride;)). My parents got mad that I bought it. Two months after I got it and it was sitting in front of our house, I sold it then my parents got mad again:rolleyes: Anyway, when the time comes I will buy another one.

I am still driving my old Jag that I have had for over 10 years. She is a restored 1984 4.2 Lt XJ6, Brit Racing Green with chocolate leather interior. I figure that if I take good care of her then I should be driving her pretty much until hell freezes over. (Not that I'm attached to her or anything). I have driven her all over Europe and covered everywhere from Dallas to Newport RI. She is my dream car.

Right now, most of the times I drive my moms 2002 Chrysler Intrepid. Sometimes I drive my twin's 1990 Toyota Celica. My 1990 Buick LaSabre died on me because I rode her to fast and her engine died.

I'm driving a '04 Ford Taurus SE.

Mz Destiny 11-17-2004 07:20 PM

I'm driving a 2000 Nissan Altima that I have had for a year. I like it, however if something brand-spankin' new comes along that I can have the same payments on (i.e. a 2005 Altima or a 2005 Kia Sorrento) then I'm on it!

A paid-off 1995 black emerald, 5-speed, Nissan Maxima with Bose speakers and only 78,000 miles. And since it still runs well, and I like not having a car note, I'll probably drive it until it literally falls apart.*knocking on wood.*

Girl, by the time that Honda falls apart, Toyota won't be manufacturing 4Runners anymore. Hondas are great cars. I had one and traded it with 315K miles on it.

I want to be like you when I grow up!!!! Between my mortgage payment and my student loans [and my desire to continue eating solid food ;)] I know I won't be in anything new for a FEW years!

_Opi_ 12-08-2005 01:07 PM

Currently, I drive a 95 Toyota Camry..dark mauvish colour. It's been hell the first year I bought because the previous owner messed up the transmission and the coolant system.

Now it's ok. It's got a big *** dent on the right side of the bumper, but I can live with it..

I don't think I'll buy another car unless its absolutely brand new. So that would be in like....3 years (after law school).

if you took out loans, and don't go to a big firm, don't plan on a new car after law school

-signed a lawyer who does NOT drive a new car.

I want to be like me when I grow up too!! I will make it happen though, I am TOOOO determined!!

See...I had a pretty bad accident in my '96 Honda Accord, and it's waiting for repairs. I will fix it because it wasn't a terrible accident, and like Soror 1browngirl said, I plan on driving the Honda til it drops!

Now, I'm pushing my dad's '86 Isuzu pickup truck. One more year, and it's a certified classic. ;) It gets me to the school each day, and I go even further than that. I had to learn to drive a stick shift to get in it, and I'm satisfied for now. In 2010, I'll probably aim for a newer vehicle, and I'll probably sell the Accord.
