Thank you 1 800 TBS Funny for making me late to work every day because I spend from 7 - 8:00 am watching Saved by the Bell. This morning's 2 episodes were the ones where they befriend Laura, the homeless girl, during the holiday season at the mall.

Let's discuss our fave Saved by the Bell moments.

I love the one where Zach and Kelly (I think that's their names) were going to get married, and the priest (coming to counsel them) walks in while Zach is handcuffed to the stripper! I thought it was a little presumptuous of him to not let them explain the situation, but it was a scream nonetheless.

I loved the one where they're in Hawaii and the natives make Screech their King.

Or when Kelly and Zack break up at Prom and Jessie and Slater are singing that "How am I supossed to live without you" song. Every time I hear it I think of that!

I liked:

I did NOT like Kelly leaving to model in France and getting Tori to replace her as Zack's love interest. Blah!

I thought Zach delivered the baby and it was wrapped in Slater's football jersey...?????

I watch Saved by the Bell every morning. Or at least I try to.

I caught the tail end of the episode today where Zack kissed Lisa.

I loved all the ones from high school, but not when they were in college. It just wasn't the same.

Hey, did anybody besides me have the "Saved By The Bell" board game? That was fun! :)

Leah Remini is almost as big a Kirsty Alley.

Tori. FREAKING TORI?

What was up with Tori. I remember one season, all the sudden I didnt see Jesse and Kelly in the credit, and that freakazoid Tori was in it. There were 3 guys, Lisa, a Belding and a Tori. A freaking TORI. Seriously, what did she have to do with anything!?!?!? She was in what...freakin 6 episodes? STUPID TORI. I hated her. Then all the sudden she vanished and Jesse and Kelly came back for the last few episodes....all in the same season! What was Kelly doing during this time? Probably being Valerie Malone. Jesse? Well...she was probably in Las Vegas pursuing her dancing career.

I am telling you. Saying that you liked the Tori era is like saying you are the antichrist.

Weren't they all in the graduation episode together? THAT was weird.

OH OH OH!! I met Mr. Belding. He was in Waco a while back, I don't know why but he was at this place we used to go all the time. So COOL!

Actually I am 99 percent sure that the "Kelly is a model!" episode ended the "sophomore year" season and she and Jessie were both back for the junior season. What happened with the Tori episodes was that Kelly and Jessie both decided that they wanted to leave the show halfway through filming the fourth season, so the producers only ended up with half as many episodes as they needed. In order to fill the gaps, they threw together the Tori episodes. The Tori episodes were supposed to take place simultaneously to the "original six's" senior year. When they originally aired, they would show one Tori episode, then one Jessie/Kelly episode, then one Tori episode, et cetera. You were supposed to think that during the Tori episodes, Kelly and Jessie were still THERE at Bayside, they just were in another hallway or busy with cheerleading practice or student council or whatnot.

Whenever I think about the Tori episodes, I think about the one where Zach got the class rings that turned her skin green!

The funny thing about Tori was that she was SUCH a Jessie/Kelly hybrid. They didn't even attempt to make an original character; they just blended together the parts of the old ones that worked.

My absolute favorite episode of all time!!!


When I went to Italy last summer I brought along the first and second seasons of SBTB to watch on the plane. I shared an apartment with 4 of my sorority sisters and a couple of tri-delts (our neighbors loooooved us :rolleyes: ). One night we decided to stay in and watch movies but we couldn't agree on one so I suggessted watching SBTB instead..I got the dvd's for Christmas but had never actually watched them. Had NO clue that the BEST EPISODE EVER was on there!!! I seriously got so excited when it came on and I am pretty sure we watched that one episode every single day for the rest of the summer at least twice/day. And then when I got back to Como I downloaded the song b/c it's so great. I also have the "Friends Forever" song by Zack Attack which is another good one. ;)

Oh man, how many times have I seen each episode. I remember 4th-8th grade, all they'd show on TBS afternoons was SBTB and California Dreams.

My favorite episodes are actually the Malibu Sands episode.

I need to get the movie on tape/dvd.

One of my friends is a the Editor of the Life Styles section of the paper she works for and is in charge of proofing the birth announcements. A few weeks ago there was one for a Jessica Spano (which then led into a whole SBTB session in her LJ).

My husband and I met Screetch on our first date. He was in town at a comedy club and was eating supper at the same (nearly empty) brewery we were. He was really nice.

I remember wanting to throw up when Zack kissed Lisa right before the fashion college recruiter came to see her show and Screech caught them

Isn't the girl who played Tori a triplet? I saw all three of them on a Chili's commercial once I believe.

She is. I believe their last name is Creel -- and they did a Parent Trap 3 with Hayley Mills movie that was made for TV. They haven't been in much of anything since the early 90s I believe.

Two of them were in an episode of 90210.

I loved the episode when Screech accidently invented a pimple cream in chem class. He and Zack decide to "market" it and then suddenly everyone's faces turn maroon and Kelly gets crowned homecoming queen with a maroon face.

I also loved the cheerleading one (with the prank war). I loved how Jessie tried to get them to cheer in ankle length skirts. LOL.

Another favorite is the date auction one. Where they needed to raise money for new cheerleading uniforms and Zack ends up being "bought" by a girl who is (and there is really no nice way of putting it) fat. I loved the message in the end of Zack actually liking her as a person, so looking at the inside and not the outside.

Oh and my last favorite one, the Miss Bayside competition that both Screech and Slater enter and Screech wins.

my favorite save by the bell episodes are (in no particular order):

1. when they were in hawaii on vacation while trying to save kelly's grandfather's hotel from being torn down.
2. graduation episode. zach almost didnt graduate.
3. episode where zach and slater made a bet to see who would hook up with tori first. slater ended up making out with screech while in costume.
4. college year: when they were all trying to rush a fraternity and sorority. the guys got slimed.

there were so many good ones to list.

Actress Lark Voorhies is being hospitalized for substance abuse. The actress is bi-polar and is also suffering from cocaine addiction.

Voorhies is 31 and best known for her role as Lisa in "Saved by the Bell." She also worked on the soap operas, "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "Days of Our Lives." Years ago, she dated actor/comedian Martin Lawrence. Later this year, she will be featured in the movie "The Black Man's Guide to Understanding the Black Woman."

I once met the guy who plays Screech, Dustin Diamond. He's a total jerk-off douchebag. He was a complete asshole.
My fiance & I were standing near him but not talking to him when some kids asked him for his autograph. He blew them off but not in a nice way. He told them to basically scram & to leave him alone. I was stunned & when he walked away, yelled at him that he was an asshole. He raised his hand but I don't know if he just did a get bent wave or if he actually gave me the finger.

Just FYI, Lark Voorhies is a Jehovahs Witness. I just learned something new today.

What was Kelly's boyfriend's name for awhile with dark hair -- not on for very long time?
