What the heck is going on with the Pitt State LCA house? Any photos or news about it? Holy shit you have 11,000 posts and I never hear about LXZ?

Jas, thanks for the Kind Words first off.

When I wnet down for Dads Funeral, I have Two Loves, My Family and LXA so Went to The Pitt. Ks to see what if anything was going on at Our Property.

I had to find out You Know Me!:D

Bookem and I pulled up and saw These Big Friggen Machines.

Saw Bro Paul Cs Truck, He is General Contractor, Great One Of our Brothers got the Job.

Looked around to try to find Him, Hell, I aint that big to screw with Big Yellow Machinery!:D

Caught Him and We walked over to see what was going on, finally!

Hollored at Him as Big Machine was digging and said, GOD DAMN, That Is Big Fucking Hole:D

Well nope that big Paul said! My Ass, I said. Why is the Big Machine below Ground Level? Oh, That is the basememt. OKAY. :)

He was laying out Plans of elevation, but I have House Plans and it will be fantastic. Now, just need New Associates and Members to help fill it.:)

Current update.

Went down this morning with 2 other Alums for a cook out and small recruitment function.

Had two come over with some more later. Sig Eps across the street was having a BBQ also but did not have many that We could see.

The Basement is in and first floor flooring and one wall.

Alum Paul C. said weather permitting, should have all 1 st floor walls and second flooring in.

9 feet walls on first floor and basement.

Figure it will be ready in Jan for Spring Sem.

Six upstairs bedrooms, two man rooms with connecting baths.
One Bed room for President on first floor.

Possible expansion for basement. 2000 sq. feet each floor and basement.

Right at 6000 sq. feet.

4 foot brick wall and stuco for the rest for exterior.

It will be a nice house to be sure, right on a corner lot across from Campus.:)

Crazy as it sounds having only three guys may be a blessing in disguise, you can basically restart this group like a new colony without the hassle.

Well, an Update!!!:)

Three Actives have come back into the fold.

Have Pinned 3 NAs.

IHQ has Josh Lodolo and another Brother coming down Next week to survey the Campus and School. This is a Pre-Visit to get a lay of the land so to speak and then come down to help with Recruitment in the Spring Semester.

There is also a situation with a group wanting to start a KS Chapter. They have no idea what they might be in for and Work is being done on that. News later.

New House is looking great and will be The Best On Campus and one of the best locations. Near Campus and High Profle on the Main Street of Pittsburg. It will be a Plus for sure to help Recruit.

Well Bros., We Aint Dead Yet if I have anything to do with it!:D

Jas, cannot afford to spononsor a room. Laid enough out already for the last few years.

Visitors from IHQ were down Mon and Tues. Meetings were held and many things discussed.

Sounds like Jason and Josh were please with the attitued and Alum involvement. The New House is getting there and am sure they were pleased with that also. A big tool in recruitment Alums are working on recrutment and then in the Spring with a little help from IHQ, there will be a bigger push.

Looking forward to the rebuilding with relish!:)

Well, with Weather Problems and sub contractors, the New House should be done in 1-2 Months.

We will have Two Brothers coming down to The Pitt for Recruitment the end of Jan. 1 for two weeks and 1 staying a third. I will try to get down and meet with them on a weekend.

With all that is going on, it will be a hecktic time for LX Z but should be a well rewarding time for us in growing. But, it seems that Alums who have not been around are coming back once again!:)

Had to go to Lamar to sign Papers on sale of Dads House, but had to make a stop at The Pit first to check on what is going on with New House.

Well, it is still under construction thanks to some of the Subs screwing up!:(

As soon as all concrete work is done, then the brick work and stuco will start. God, I had chills just being there and seeing it!

Some of the floor plan has changed and now has 6 duouble room bed rooms upstairs with 1 2 man on first floor along with Presidents room. It is now all sheet rocked and it is really looking good inside. Scarry, takes two heating and cooling units for it!:eek: Phone, and cable in each room with losts of plug ins. Walkin closets 2 per rooom.

Damn far cry from when I lived in the first old house!:D

Exciting News!
 

Spent biggest part of the Day Sat. at The Pitt.

The House is coming along, the brick skirting and cap stones are in place and Stucco should be going on next week weather permitting. Interior is painted and wiring is all pulled. As I told IHQ, it should be done by Summer school and ready for Fall Semster for sure.

The two ELCs that are in for Recruitment are Fantastic Young Men and Brothers.

Josh Lodolo and Jason Holt. I and all of the Alums @ 12 who met with them were very impressed and all of us acted like young kids again with grins of glee.:D

In 5 days, they have Recruited 13 New Associates and are very pleased with the calibur of men. They still have another 4 days to recruit and are looking for at least a total of @ 20-25.

Another exciting note is Brother Jsason is setting up a gathering next Sat. and Brothers from Kansas State and Drury are planning on coming down for it.

They are also planning to come down and do Ritual in April. What is also most exciting about this, is that Drury Colonized LX Z and Kansas State did the Chartering. Brother Lynn Chipperfield, Drury, is planing on being there for the Ritual explanation.

You cannot really understand unless You have been in this situation, and I know some have and many are on GC today, the electricity that is generated by and event such as this.:cool:

I mentioned a few names of GC Brothers and they were very familiar to them as Jason Holt does moniter GC when He can.:)

Brother Chipperfield did the keynote address at the UNC recharter - WOW - great speaker and motivator!

I can picture the perma-grin you must be sporting these days - we get to experience vicariously through you, and it's almost as if watching a play-by-play of the Phoenix Award happening in front of us!

I only hope to be as excited as you are again soon, should CSU be recolonized in the next year or so - that will be quite the big event!

Second trip to The Pitt in a week!

Had an Alumni Advisory Board Meeting today, but other Alums showed up as usual. ELC Jason Holt held the meeting to give us some ideas and get feed back from us.

He said He and Josh Lodolo were extremely pleased with the turnout of Alums and what We have actually accomplished while they were there. First, I must give thanks to these two fine Young ELCs and Members of LXA!

After a two hour jaw session, we adjourned to the New House. While still under construction, thank goodness there was heat in the house. Chef Sparky Narrell stayed to do the BBQ cooking freezing his rear off.

We had @ 20 Alums from all over who came in and a huge surprise was in store for us.

@ 20 Actives from Drury, Springfield, Mo. and 3-4 from Kansas State came down. No small road trip for sure!

Drury will do the Ritual in April,7-8 weekend. Jason said the Brothers from Kansas State were upset as they wanted to do it too.
(Drury Colonized LX Z in 1966 and Kansas State Chartered us in 1969). Brothers from both will be down for Ritual and cannot wait. Drury invited the New Associates to Springfield for Sat. Night and Jason was taking them over. What a great chance for Our New Guys to see what an outstanding Chapter is really like.


At present, we now have 18 New Associates with more to be Associated Sunday at the meeting. That will bring us to @ 25 and not totally done yet.

The electricity is still in the air and growing. Alums who have not been around are now on the Alumi Advisory Board, more and more will become more active once again.

To be truthful, if not for the change in Leadership of LXA and thinking, We would have been closed. As I was told , this was unprecident in LXA History and every effort was being done to Rejuvinate Lambda Chi Zeta. We are maybe The First real test case, but hopefully not the last!

One funny incident that happened, was as We all know is a Cell Phone ringing in a meeting and guess whose did? Jason Holts! I asked Him is that Your phone buzzing, oh it is.

None other than Brother "Biff" Holloway was calling and He was put on speaker. Heck, I didnt even know that those pesky things could do that! Everyone yelled Hi Biff!:D

LX Z on the rise from the ashes!

12 New Brothers were installed by Sigma Theta, Drury, almost 41 Years from Our Colonization who also did the Ritual.

We have some carry overs and some new possible who want to Associate, but this close to Installing were held off for the moment.

The House is still in the final stages of fine tuning and will be open for use this summer and especially this Fall.

I had a nice talk with Jason Holt who will be leaving and going into the private sector and He will be sorely missed.

But on another note, His Brother Jarrod Holt will be a New ELC!:cool: Congratulations Jarrod!:)

Brother Grand High Pi, Lynn Chipperfield Narrated the Ritual, National President of AGD came to the after BBQ which was fantastic.

Many Alums came back who I have not seen in Years or never knew.:cool:

The voltage that was running through us was awesome and I cannot really explain it. The vibrante New Brothers is huge plus for Us and the outstanding work by The ELCs and aid from IHQ, well, AWESOME!

Oh, some dumb Brother Nominated Me as President of the New LX Z Alum Association. I am be calling You for advice!

Grand High Pi Chipperfield does a wonderful job with that narration. Wish we could get him out for Cal's next show.

I can fully understand the time and effort and emotional capital that went into the efforts at Pitt. We are doing many of the same things at Berkeley right now.

Damn Tom you do so much! I hope things start to click for LXZ if not then Send the house towards our way! hahaha
