Who is ready for fall?

Maybe its just me, but lately I have been DYING for fall to get here. I am so ready for light sweaters, cute jeans, color changing leaves, football season, and pumpkins!! I have never felt like this before, and I wondered if anyone else was anxious for fall, and if so why? What do you like about the fall?:)

ZTAngel 07-15-2005 01:17 PM

I'm not. Fall always means that winter is right around the corner. And this will be my first non-Florida winter so I'm definitely not looking forward to it! :(

Come live in Canada for a while, ma cheri! Our summers are so short, that you will not be in such a hurry to see fall! :)

valkyrie 07-15-2005 02:57 PM

Fall is my favorite season, and I'm really sick of it being in the 90s and sunny every day. I can't wait for cooler weather.

I totally second this. I need the humidity to go away too. My hair has turned into a huge hairball.

I just spent the 85-degree afternoon:

- shopping on a gigantic sidewalk sale on State Street
- having a Spotted Cow and some nachos with my best friend at a beer garden
- drinking an Orange Dream Machine jamba juice
- not working at all

So basically, no, I have no desire for fall to come.

PhoenixAzul 07-15-2005 05:21 PM

I'm so ready for fall because it means that I'm back to school and back with my sisters and in my spiffy new suite, and I'm closer to going to Northern Ireland!

Yeah, but there's no such thing as fall here...or spring. You go from really cold weather to really hot and vice versa...at least in southern Ontario.

CSUSigEp 07-15-2005 06:07 PM

yeah im not in any hurry for school to start again... i have to take anatomy next semester... yuck

Private I 07-16-2005 09:05 AM

hmmm...school year=back to getting fat. Sitting down/studying all the time=not being active in my case. So I'm diggin summer as long as I can. AND working on the perfect tan (as well as attempting to study for GRE)

Speak for yourself. I hate the summer.

I can't wait for fall to be here, especially since it's been so disgusting in Toronto.

cutiepatootie 07-16-2005 10:51 AM

I am sooo ready for fall and for summer to go far far away ....i detest the heat

Tippiechick 07-16-2005 05:52 PM

Nope. I love summer. I even love my Tennessee-humidity-so-thick-it-is-like-a-steel-curtain-hitting-you-in-the-face-when-you-walk-outside summer.

I hear ya Tippiechick! I'd take that hot, nasty humidity any day! :) But then again, I sure do like cozy sweaters, bonfires, and pretty colored leaves...

MoonStar17 07-20-2005 09:33 AM

I LOVE FALL!!!

I cant wait for it to come already...

im a little bias cause im an october baby :)

but i love the lil sweaters and jeans and cute fall colors..

not to mention making my pumpkin bread and having the aromas fill the entire house! pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice cookies...yummmmm

we have a pumpkin carving party every year and it always has a way of making me feel warm and fuzzy...

i live in miami so i dont get to see the leaves change, but the weather changes slightly... usually just more of a breeze and less humidity...

i cant wait! glad to know there are others who share my devotion to fall :)

KSigkid 07-20-2005 09:39 AM

No desire whatsoever - after 24 years of living in New England I can deal with the humidity. Plus it's warm, the Yankees and Sox are in a pennant chase, and I can't stand it when it gets cold and snowy around here.

JenMarie 07-20-2005 10:01 AM

I like fall around Sacramento. I don't go to school anymore so it doesn't matter. But the trees go orange and it's just nice and crisp... well at least it is in November. Generally Summer here lasts until mid-October. But considering I haven't gone shopping in a long time and all I have are SWEATERS that I can't wear right now, I'm looking forward to it.

You are my twin!!!! It must be an october baby thing:D I was born on the 5th of October, maybe thats why I love the fall. I went and bought apple cinnimin(I dont know why I cant spell that word) and vanilla plug ins-I couldnt help it!! I am trying to get fall here as fast as possible!!!

jharb 07-20-2005 12:58 PM

I love fall but I feel like I finally am able to enjoy summer so I don't want summer to end yet!

Give me the sweltering month of August though and I'll probably be begging for it to be Autumn! :)

Rio_Kohitsuji 07-20-2005 01:48 PM

I can't wait til fall!!! Cute jeans & boots here I come!

Also, I can't wait because my neice will be in her 1st year of marching band!!! :D :D :D

ZTAMich 07-20-2005 07:01 PM

NYC in the fall is BEAUTIFUL! Leaves turning, football games at the bars all weekend, and at least thru most of Sept it's still warm enough to eat & drink outside!

Summer here is hot & humid so far but I'm dealing with it. Certainly would rather be hot than cold during a frigid winter!

Munchkin03 07-20-2005 07:16 PM

No. Not at all.

Like ksigkid said, baseball season is great right now. It's blowing up like nitro. There's nothing like sitting on our balcony listening to the Sox/Yanks series on the radio, drinking a seasonal brew. There's nothing like drinking iced tea all day. Going to a picnic in the park with friends--like I did last night--can only really be done in the summer. Summer clothes are cuter, too.

Maybe I'm okay with the summer because the apartment has an AC?

AOIIalum 07-20-2005 09:54 PM

I love fall.

Fall means it's TIME FOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL AGAIN.

College basketball means that life is good, therefore, fall is good.

Makes sense to me, anyway :D

Nope, I mean basketball. Remember, I'm a Kentucky fan. Football is just a fun way to pass time until Midnight Madness and basketball season.

lifesaver 07-21-2005 02:54 AM

I like summer, but the heat is starting to wear on me. And ya knwo its hot when people in Arizona are dying from the heat.

I cant wait till football season starts up again. Go horns.

bruinaphi 07-21-2005 08:39 AM

Fall is usually hotter than Summer here, so I really look forward to Winter. All I know is I want OUT of this 85% humidity stuff. Someone needs to clue in mother nature that we live in a desert specifically to stay away from this kind of oppressive humidity.

copacabana 07-21-2005 11:37 AM

I'm definitely looking forward to winter-- the humidity out here is worse than usual and it's probably just going to get worse through the fall. I want to wear cute sweaters and scarves!

my TWIN! ive been looking for you ;)
I was born on the 17th and I cant help but love the fall..

the apple cinnamon thing is SUCH a good idea!!! Ive been tempted to make pumpkin bread but my boyfriend looked at me like i was nuts when i suggested it...ended up making banana nut bread instead... im the kind of person who could eat pumpkin bread and pies all year round :)

but i did buy a chai tea which has the same kinda aromatic spices and i have it every night before bed... makes me feel all warm and cozy...

AchtungBaby80 07-21-2005 12:05 PM

Noooo! I don't want fall! Fall = winter is coming, which = Achtung will freeze to death for six months. I love the summer...even though the best day in the world (my birthday) is in the fall. That's the only OK fall day. :D

lol, my boyfriend asked why it smelled like christmas in our bedroom!! I told him I couldnt help it, all the other rooms smell like spring flowers, but I had to put the apple cinnamon in the bedroom atleast!! I have already pulled out my fall decorations, I'm just waiting til I can put them up!!!

Same here in Memphis. Summer gets extended by one month. As a matter of fact "Memphis summer" goes from April to October. So basically, we have "two seasons", summer and winter.

I can't wait until fall. I hate the heat right now.

Susan_Renee 07-27-2005 01:28 AM

I'm definitely ready for fall.
First of all, it's TOO DAMN HOT! I love fall (and spring) because of the perfect temperatures. I love being able to open the windows and let in fresh air.
Secondly, I'm ready to wear cute fall clothes.
Third, I'm ready for some football. That includes both my college and Monday night football (I'm going to try to start up my Monday night football parties again). :)
