Soror Barbara K. Phillips made her transition last evening at Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Information regarding arrangements will be forthcoming. Please keep Soror Barbara's family and friends in your prayers.

I remember Soror Phillips' appearing at Boule last year in Nashville. This is sad news.

My condolences to the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha in the passing of your beloved Soror and a leader for your organization.

My prayers also go out to Soror Phillips' family. Her daughter, our Soror, came through my current chapter- Zeta Xi at Bennett in the 80's. I also remember seeing Soror Phillips at the Mid -Atlantic regional this year (she became a Golden Soror).

From just reading about her on the international website, she was truly an innovator for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. My condolences to all the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha, her family and friends.
