I think girls with pink baseball clothing = fan girls in 50% of the cases and the rest have various reasons;I would guess.

fan girls = the girls that go just to look at the cute ball players.

This question would be best answered by women that wear pink ball caps.

I don't think a gf being dragged to a game would spend money on a ball cap for a team or game she doesn't like.

My little & I saw some REALLY cute pink Pirates caps/shirts, but decided that it was just not a good plan at all. Unless your age consists of a single digit.

If the team you're rooting for has colors that you look like crap in, putting them on a white or black or heather (no pun) gray background works.

So funny that this subject should come up because on Father's Day Mr. KR took our girls to an Orioles game and the oldest came back with an Orioles ballcap he had bought her -- and it was pink! I'd never seen anything like that before.

My guess is that the pink ballcap makers are catering to the little girls with daddies who don't notice how overinflated ballpark prices are.

It depends on the stadium - at Wrigley, I'd be much more inclined to think the girl didn't know shit about shit, but I'd also be more inclined to try to make out. At, like, Kaufman or the baggydome, you'd have to assume the girl actually liked the team to subject themselves to all that shit.

What I really think looks odd is a guy wearing a pink baseball cap. Yeah, I saw one - he was probably in high school - but there is just something wrong about a pink Texas A&M cap on a guy.

I like the pink hats - though I don't own one myself. I've seen guys rockin' them out at baseball games and they look dumb. Its like they are trying too hard to be different.

A pink polo or button down on an extremely attractive guy with a great tan, I am all for that. :D

Maybe it's different for different teams, but I know that with the pink baseball hats that are sold with the San Francisco Giants logo a good percentage of the sale (I want to say something like 50%) go to support finding a cure for breast cancer.

I just like to look cute(r). Like I said, I look hideous in orange and it is way too hot down here to be wearing an almost-black shade of blue (most of the time). I could do white/grey, but those are so drab. So, I get my pink on.

I am a HUGE Dodgers fan (yes I know they stink right now) & I have a pink baseball cap. Actually, it's white with the L.A. logo in pink. My fiance bought it for me b/c he thought I would look cute in it. Most of the time though, you'll find women wearing them that know next to nothing about baseball.
I love to wear it with my Dodgers Jersey that says "Player To Be Named Later" on the back. ;)

In a place like Boston or NY, I'd be willing to bet that it's a "I don't know a thing about baseball" type deal, because I've also seen PLENTY of girls wearing the real deal (i.e. not a pink hat).

OMG it's so annoying! My dad thought it would be fun to buy me one when he was getting my sister one that she told him she wanted. And my sister is definitely one of those who doesn't really know a thing about baseball. Yeah I never wear it.

I just got a taupe and pink Reds hats this weekend. Tres cute with my matching outfit...I attended a 4th of July party tonight, and a friend of mine, who is male, was wearing a matching hat that he got two weeks ago!
