Hello Destinguished members of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. I have so long wanted to be apart of your organization, but each time the chance has arose, it has aluded me. I would like to send a HUGE congratulations to the Greenwood-Itta Bena Alumnae Chapter for their new members. I know you are so happy to have it! :) Seeing as how I want apart of DST so badly, is there any advise someone could give on me attaining this goal? I am currently on hiatus from school right, but will be returning soon. Is there anything anyone can enlighten me with?

please read the forum rules, and also do some research on GC, your question has been addressed (sometimes to death) before in DST ave and other D9 forums.

You may also want to consider changing your username..:rolleyes:

may I ask why change the username?

I believe that with more investigation/research on this forum and other forums of the D9 and GC, you will be able to answer that question.

Humility and Discretion.

CHANGE THE SCREENNAME!!! To have DST in your screenname is just disrespectful.

Practice some discretion. We don't need to know everything.

Ok.. the whole reason for a "username" is for discretion purposes. Is it not? You don't know me or anything about me except that I want to be apart of Delta Sigma Theta, and humility has always been apart of my character.

your username is not right for this forum. Simple. If your desire is so great, then you would know discretion and using "iwannabeDST" is not discreet

You responded this way to this comment:

I mean absolutely no disrepect at all. As we speak, I'm trying to come up with a new name. I wasnt aware that it was disrepective, and I didnt understand why the name chance; however, once I read the thread posted, I did decide to change it. I meant no disrespect. I did not come here for that purpose. :)

IF u really respected DST the way u say do, u would of changed the sn as soon as my Sorors asked u 2. They are only trying 2 help u. In ur search for answer, I wish u would learn 2 humble urself.

As I stated before, I meant no disrect. I DID NOT KNOW! I am very new to GC. I do have a quest for knowlege, and it will be filled. Errica, I don't do anything just because someone tells me to. To be inquisitive does not equal being DISRESPECTFUL. The name has been changed. :)

In response to you Errica, acually, I would be flattered that someone wants to be a part of my wonderful organization. We are here for service and seek to expand our membership to the RIGHT people. We are all about serving the community and membership is a means to do that. I hold a high position in my lodge and speak from experience. So, I would not be offended. In fact, I probably would question her to see if she really wanted it and what her motives were, and if they were pure, then I would more than likely help her along.

Girl, I know I'm not one to talk, but just do what they say, it's really best if you absorb it the first time. They're only doing what's best for us, it's pretty nice to be taken care of like that. Others prolly wouldn't tell you if you're wrong, they'd just talk about you (or put you in a "You are dead wrong" post), so if you feel like you're getting snapped on, take it as nurturing. Besides, you don't want to know what it looks like when irritation starts flowing, TRUST ME. You know it's out of love, but it's scarier than mama takin' her belt off *cough,cough*:eek:...LOL

Y'all know I love it here:D But I'm a little hurt no one's ever sent me to the corner, sounds like so much fun...refreshments and such...

Yes I am! I don't even remember what it was, do you? I remember my sig was, I wish I may, I wish I might see DST in my near futures sight. I was doing the MOST, but I got great advise from my 2 wonderful SORORS!!!:D
